Today I went to Shikoku to meet up with my contact of the Golden Chrysanthemums. When I passed by the jump gate to New Tokyo, I was disgusted with myself when I caught myself looking at it with longing. Behind that gate is my old life. It is ancient now, closed like those great metal claws that surround it. That life is over, Only I remain. Megaera.
They said they had an intresting business proposition for me, but in the end it was all just a disapointment. It is always a disapointment. When do they learn not to waste my time with this. I am Megaera, the mistress of Cassini! Not some thug that is intrested in petty things. I guess this is what happens when you deal with small minded mortals. Oh great goddess, when will your black light fill this universe again? To rid this existence of the inferiour beings that stain your glorious design?
The audacity! Marina had the nerve to question my motives! How can she not see the great picture that is before us all? I expected great things from her, but she reduced into a whimpering weakling when she was dragged to the airlock. The only thing that saved her was the pleading of her sister and I was in a merciful mood. I told them that if either transgress in any way, I will cast them both into the void.
On our way through the Ontario sector, the sensors picked up the wreckage of a rogue fighter. A bag of cardamine was floating unscathed just a few meters beside a half burned corpse that looked like it tried to reach for it. Interesting stuff that cardamine. It drives people crazy even in their last moments. If I ever find a trace of it on my ship I will purge it. I will simply lock up the crew in a room with cardamine just out of their reach and wait. Those that go insane will be executed on the spot, Those who show no effect will be promoted to fill the vacancies. I need incorruptable people under my command. I am the only thing that will be worshipped on this ship besides the goddess.
The infinite lady came to me in my dreams. Looking at her was like looking into the void itself. I stood there in the barren wasteland of what was once planet Manhattan. It was scarred beyond recognition and on the surface time itself was distorted and twisted. I looked up at the New York sun that had just gone supernova. Afterwards I looked back at my goddess and she walked towards me. There where her feet touched the surface, the matter burned away into oblivion. She stopped just before me and she was like a black hole, the light would not reveil her, only her silhouet. She only whispered one word in her divine voice: "Soon."
Our ship went under repair at a Zoner outpost after our latest encounter with the 5th. We were horridly outgunned and had to make a run for the jump gate. I will grow in power and return like I always do. They haven't seen the last of me. But now the fun part, I had the Zoners install a new cloaking device. So next time I will strike when they will never expect it and where there will be no one to save them.
A Rogue dared to call me out in my own dominion of Cassini. She did not recognise my callsign and thought I was a grunt and even dared to asked about my equipment status. I decided to humor myself and meet her near Attica station like she proposed, since she thought I was flying a fighter. I uncloaked infront of her measly ship and her reaction was as entertaining as I expected it to be. Oh, most rogues still have so much to learn. That will all change when they will all accept me as their queen
I have created a new game. It is not for just me and my crew, but all of Liberty plays with us. Let me explain the rules. The game is called word-kill. The crew of my ship writes down on a piece of paper, whatever they hate the most. Then those notes go into a box and when ready I will pull out one of them. But here commes the fun part. We will destroy that object not just once, but as many times as there are letters in that word!
So The box is here next to me and I am full of anticipation on what is going to explode today. Here we go... what... Lane Hackers.... No. This is not right! We are not supposed to list allies here! Besides we need them incase one of you idiots override the ships weapon systems with a virus again! Like when Jake decided to access the... more filthy part of the Neuralnet. Yes Jake I know it was you! Oh wait... you know I know it was you too. Silly me, I forgot! After all that embarasment I marvelled at my own generosity dropping you off at the nearest inhabited planet. We were in Texas, so that would have been Houston. Too bad the ship's systems were still faulty and we accidentily dropped you off at Chisos instead.
I only realised my mistake after your skin melted off.
On to the next draw. Lets see if this one is valid. Navy. Yes, I can live with that. 4 Navy ships to hunt down. Let the games begin.
This is worthless. I just realised how abysmal my fighter proficiency has become. I am wounded because of the ejection from my fighter that has been damaged beyond repair. I also realised how inferiour rogue craftsmanship is. Too bad it is the only thing currently in my reach. It is time for me to improve on my piloting skills, explore Sirius some more and mingle among the unsuspecting populance.
Yesterday I started exploring the southern regions of Sirius (If there is something as a south in outer space). I saw the destruction caused by a red giant (which was beautiful) and systems inhabited by savages. How rude these pirates are, shooting at my ship like that. It has an advanced vermin problem that needs to be fixed. After my return to Liberty space I finally found something worth saving in the universe. The Celtic Dragon Inn. They at least apealed to my refined appetite and the service was exquisite!
I encountered my nemesis, the Releigh. It is was stationed in Erie's orbit and I decided to investigate. In previous encounters it always hunted me, but since I fly under a civilian callsign, I decided to follow it. After he finished up his dealings with a local pirate, I followed him out of the system and towards planet Manhattan. There a smuggler was found carrying artifacts. I never understood the big deal about artifacts. They look pretty and are great decorations. Other than that, they are not all that useful. Anyway. He refused to surrender and headed towards the jumpgate and was getting away. Now here is the fun part. I actually destroyed the lane to prevent him from getting away. What is happening to me? Am I a good girl now? I prefer to think that my hand slipped.
