Good evening,
If I said that I am speaking on behalf of the University of Cambridge, I would technically be lying. My name is Teresa Martinez, and I am employed at the UoC both as teacher and head of research regarding biology and engineering. In particular, I am interested in the process of crossing these two subjects. In the recent months, Bretonia has been visited repeatedly by entities going by the label of 'Cult of Technology', though their visits hardly ever resulted in anything peaceful.
Some of the wreckage left behind in the wake of their attacks has been given to us here at the University to study and find the key to their impressive armaments that render their carriers nigh unto impervious to most common weapons, with only the strongest artillery being able to show any kind of damage. However, I am afraid that what we got from them so far is insufficient. While the University itself is beholden to impartiality when it comes to entities outside of Bretonia's political sphere and therefore cannot ask you for assistance in this matter directly, I myself can.
If you are willing and able I would like to inquire as to whether it might be possible for you to share what you know and/or scavenged from the Cult for research purposes. Be asured that I will work to your conditions if necessary and that you will, of course, be privy to anything I and my team would uncover.
Auxesia has had several encounters with the aforementioned 'cult', even interacting with them prior to any hostilities being shown for a brief period of time. Much of our investigation into them has been sociological and psychological as we have been attempting to determine their modus operendi. Much of the technology we've recovered has been examined time and time again, with new components being delivered every other week.
A large portion of our analysis into their equipment has been weaponry focused. Several of their weapons had been scavenged and fielded for testing purposes to determine their effectiveness on standard flight craft, but were deemed not worth the effort. Their technology is surprisingly difficult to reverse engineer, and whatever armor composition they're using seems to stem from a refined form of Narcrahtite, but we have yet to tie the two together. The mineral itself seems brittle in its raw form, and attempts to put it to further use has proven otherwise unsuccessful, minus a test of energy absorption. It's theorized that the Cult may have developed a means to refine the mineral in some way we can't identify, but this is only one avenue of our investigation.
Further attempts into investigating the remains of their combat drones and carrier crafts have yielded that they are primarily automated. There has only been a handful of documented cases of communication with these individuals. They are capable of opening and closing anomalies as we discovered in Liberty, and have proven to be extremely dangerous to the Sector.
I am not authorized to release the detailed information to you without permission from the Inner Phalanx or registry as an affiliate. If you want the detailed case file, you'll need a very good reason.

Mr. Marshal,
Excuse the delay. The University is currently taking oral exams for the Master students and given that we have quite a number of students taking the test, my days have been rather packed.
I must say that, so far, you have been rather forthcoming with information regardless of whether some of it is, understandably so, restricted. I am not sure whether I and my team would be the right kind of people to become an associate, as you say, given that we are neither fighters nor particularly willing to fight — I must admit that my interests have always lied elsewhere. I am afraid that this, my knowledge and skill, is really all that I could offer in return for your help on this matter. If that is acceptable, then I would like to inquire what it would take for me to garner sufficient trust to obtain the files in question.
Contrary to belief, affiliates are not relied upon for combat operations. A good majority of our people are non-combatants, in fact. Zeta Section itself represents ISR and Special Operations in the field, but it also handles high-priority research projects and dangerous or hazardous items and materials.
At no point would the University or yourself be asked to engage on our behalf, or assigned tasks that would jeopardize the security of your organization. The affiliate network is more or less a direct line of communication where the Covenant of Auxo can work directly with individuals and groups uninterrupted by public networks. It allows us to better build a relationship without the formalities of diplomacy, and relies on cooperation from both parties to ensure that the exchange and work we may do together is both flawless and beneficial.
To start, submitting an accurate application via the affiliation network is one step to gaining trust, at which point the application is reviewed and your request is directed to the Inner Phalanx with elevated priority to that of a regular approach. From there it's dependent on what we may need in exchange, or if there is anything we may need at all.
