Due to wrongful emotions and impulsive decisions I've strayed from the righteous path of Malta and ended up within the Core. An action I've grown to regret with every passing day over the past months. So now I come to you Council representatives looking to find redemption for my wrongful actions and acceptance back into Maltese society. I understand you're very unlikely to take me back with open hands just like that so I've already prepared something I could bargain for the forgiveness of my past actions. Due to the sensitivity of the matter I would rather not put all my cards on the table just yet. If the Council is willing to consider my redemption I would disclose what I have to offer in return and provide adequate proof.
I am eager to hear your response. - Eliza Valdez de Loyola
It seems the Council has refused to even send me a mocking greeting much less acknowledged my request. Perhaps you care too little about me and my status with the Maltese Nation? Well then, allow me to try and make it worth your while:
Obviously I am put in a situation in which I can not wait forever. So if the National Council has no interest in bargaining I'll have to find someone else who does. But in the mean time feel free to express your opinion on the matter at hand, as I hope this has peaked your interest.
Miss Valdez, you underestimate the political process. Things take their due time and if you had not revealed your hand, it likely would have taken a while longer still. As it stands, the situation warrants less deliberation.
The Council has always stood for the freedoms of the Maltese people. We usually care little for what people do for as long as it does not inhibit the Cardamine trade or the safety of our society as a whole. It really is the only thing we can do, being divided as we are. You want to be welcomed back to Malta, and in theory, there is no problem with that, given that we neither have reports of you obstructing the Cardamine trade or killing fellow Maltese. However, you would still need to specify exactly how you would imagine your return to look like in concreto and what we would do with Signora Loyola. She does not exactly look pleased on the image you sent us. Provided it is not a ruse, it is immediately apparent that she is not in your company on her own volition. It would be necessary for you to illuminate this happenstance a little.
How I want my return to Malta to be? That one is simple - I want to return home with my time serving the Core, an organisation opposing Malta, forgiven and forgotten. Simple as that. As to what you should do to the Core Guildmistress Enma Loyola? That would be up to you, the Maltese Council, to decide what to do with her for her past actions. At this point it holds little concern for me, my single interest is my return home and she is simply my bargaining chip so to speak.
Your observation of Enma's displeasure in her current situation is a keen one. She did not end up like that voluntarily I can assure you. You see, me and her had a little a little argument over things which made me realize my real priorities in life. She crossed some limits which she shouldn't have and her escape pod became nicely secured in my ship's cargo hold. For the time being she's enjoying the locked quarters of a certain station which I'll not name, for the sake of their neutrality and anonymity in this matter.
Does the Council need any more light shed upon the situation?
Very well, Miss Valdez, the Council grants you your wish. Keep in mind that this decision is based only on the fact that we have no reason to believe that your soireé has not damaged any Maltese interests, so your stay with the Core is considered little more than a less than pleasant vacation by us.
You may proceed to Ibiza first, where we will take Signora Loyola into custody first. Afterwards, you will be given a Maltese registration, either a National Council one or otherwise, and are free to go.
I find your terms acceptable. Expect my arrival in the upcoming days. I will notify you again on this channel once I'm close to arrival on Ibiza to avoid any surprises. The ship I'll be traveling in will be the same Series Z "Sabre" with which I left Malta so I doubt identifying me would be an issue either.
Forgive the lack of video feed but the last days have been rough...
Where to start? Things didn't go quite as planned. I got intercepted by a Gallic Royal Navy patrol and taken captive along with Enma Loyola and interrogated on Guillestre. I managed to escape that hellish place but I no longer have possession of Enma as you might have figured by this public broadcast. She's been more than happy to cooperate for her own reasons which I can't judge accurately. Enma seemed to admire the Gallics but it could all be her never-ending schemes to ascend to bigger power. Doesn't matter I guess, you should be the judges of that. The story she presents is 100% fertilizer anyways.
I still want to get home though. While I can't offer you Enma Loyola any longer I can offer you some files containing MRG intel that I've managed to get my hands on while escaping. I also have another idea how I could be useful to Malta again but I'd rather not go into details here where I could be eavesdropped. I'll be heading for Ibiza soon.
