I wonder what keeps people from playing this game? Server activity very low these days and i wonder why?
I log rarely because of RL and sometimes i dont want to log if there is a battle, dont know why though but i would log and raid if houses start a war like RNC vs KNF or LNS vs KNF etc.
GRN vs LNS-BAF lasted too long, this game needs more war! PVP ALL DAY !!
Exhaustion from studies, other games (not necessarily better, looking at you For Honor) and burnout from either powertrading during events or from arguing over in OFL chat which I quit today to keep my sanity and focus on what matters more.
Eh, it's still pretty active. But you're right, back in the day, way before I played the official server, you had to basically wait for a slot to open up.
I think it's mostly people who started too much animosity and realized they were no longer welcome. It seems like most of the players around here are old heads who've been here through basically everything.
Only thing I ever let keep me from playing is life itself.
I mean, real life is a thing for the largest part of our server's population. Besides, Disco is not as popular as any other online games. It has certain complex requirements for you to play on, not to mention that said requirements are not always being kept in mind by the others. And also, the only "event" that is going on right now is Alberta shenanigans, which is kinda limited by the factions participating in it and the whole area itself.
Still, there is some fighting happening here and there, some RPing being typed. Not in large scales, yes, but we have what we have.

We bring quality over quantity, I guess one could say.
Real life, like my fellow posters above. Nothing else could quite keep me away from Disco very long - and nothing has as of now.
I see a lot of anger and bitterness thrown around... By (mostly) newcomers, by which I count people there since a year or two. Not to sound like an old hag, but you kids have it good these days, what with all the /restarts, the PoBs, the faction weapon variations (biiiiiiig help for those like me who cannot bear 2.00 refire), the cloaks (actually not a fan of that one), those cool PvP and PvE events getting thrown around regularly... All the complaints I'm seeing are really minor bickering compared to what's been achieved since all these years. Disco is a magical place : don't ruin it for yourself.

Oh, I'd be so content to return to the BAF HC! But I can't. When I was there, I sometimes used to find myself thinking about plans for the BAF -- during a lecture. I have the time, but I am a person with a very poor attention, and I'll easily find myself thinking about what is most interesting to me at the time, rather than what's currently at hand.
1. Can't / Won't play at peak times anymore because of other priorities.
2. The project I started is purposely being sabotaged by typical disco faction leader behavior, like almost every project anyone starts since 2008. Not starting another project elsewhere because I know the same thing will probably happen anywhere.
3. Frustration at the refusal of devs to address blatant issues or make working with noobs easier at any level.
4. I rarely find interactions with people here as interesting as I used to. Part of it is probably because I've seen the same RP repeated a million times, and the mod design and rules aren't really conductive to interesting and creative gameplay.
