Subject: LSF interloper and Junker artifact smuggler
Greetings.
Firstly, contrary to Major Hunters report, I did return to Omicron Minor safely after the operation to gain access to the University of Manhatten's data vault. I suffered a complete engine failure in New York and was rendered immobile for some time but I manage to fix the problem and return without incident some time after the other agents had returned.
That brings me on to the meat of this report, which documents the activities in Omicron Minor from this past couple of hours.
First, my wingman and I Dan 'Firefly' Moreton encountered what at first appeared to be an LSF vessel Bob Emerson. Upon closer inspection however, it became clear that the vessel was registered with a freelancers licence. Very strange considering the vessel being used and the IFF being broadcast. Furhter inspection still revealed that the vessel was making use of Nomad technology. We immediately demanded the vessel to land on Toledo to remove the thuster and turn it over to the Order. The vessel then fled, much aided by a sudden isolated ion storm that rendered my ship inoperable for around a minute. (// in other words, I accidentally pulled out my internet cable. Not my finest moment.)
On returning, I discovered that Moreton and other Order vessels had persued the vessel to Omicron 92 where I rejoined the chase. We were however unsuccessful in catching up with the ship and it fled to Tohoku. The pilots idiotic running comentary on his plans indicated he was heading for Blood Dragon space. No doubt our new allies will catch this fool and deal with him more harshly than we were intending to. Can't say he doesn't deserve it.
However I believe we should mark this vessel as kill on sight from now on in case he survives his journey and returns to our space.
Shortly after this incident we detected the Junker transport Chatan. After stopping the vessel and demanding to know its business it quickly became clear that the vessel was smuggling a large amount of artifacts into Liberty. We demanded the vessel drop its cargo and after several warnings, it attempted to give us the slip by dropping a single unit of its cargo and activating its cruise engines. Needless to say we were not amused by this and so I gave the order to scrap the vessel. Which we promptly did. Samples from the cargo were then recovered and delivered to the Isis for analysis. Whatever we could not recover was destroyed at the scene.
Corporal Leigh out.
