Christopher sighs "None for me, I've had my own problems with that guy but he was shooting at me instead, any way Bounty Hunters are just like cockroaches wouldn't be surprised if they even worked for the nomads. Now i best be going got stuff to do and things to shoot" as Christopher gets up and begins walks out he slides a drink of Ricewine across the table to Aki Kimura and also slides his Whiskey shot over to Ted "for all the times i saved your but Aki"
The sound of footsteps approaches the bar, and a man, his voice quite familiar to Ted, asks the bartender for a Sidewinder Fang.
"Ted, I don't think I properly introduced myself when we first met," days the man, "My name is Andrew Hobbes. I was Delta-7. I heard you were having a rough time after the... after the battle."
Aki grinned mischievously at Chris, choking down the shot before responding, "If I didnt always need saving, you'd be out of a job! Cant argue with free drinks either..."
Aki turned to Hobbes as he sat across from Miles and introduced himself, "Looks like you two have a lot to talk over," she stood up and glanced at Miles before leaving, "Check by the medbay, they might be able to get you some sleeping pills, not sure what to do about the nightmares though... just try to put it behind you, and dont drink so much!" She grinned as she left the table, off to do more work.
Ted just stared at the man who had recently sat down next to him. His left eye twitched involuntarily. All he could force out of his mouth was... "You saved my life."
A fly by over the station rocking it a bit made the entry for Caitlyn Shauers and two
of her officers, Sharon Watson and Jessica Herrerra. Caitlyn looked around to see
who was amidst than continuing to an empty booth in one of the corners. Sharon
and Jessica following up just behind her. All three of them than sat at the booth
as Caitlyn pulled out a infocard. Clearly they were all business.
Hobbes put his hand on Ted's shoulder. "Look, I know... I know this must be a hard time for you. What happened there, on that ship... that's one of those things that stays with you for a long time. I could hear what happened on that ship, and I'm glad I managed to get you out alive. You gotta remember that what you did... it was the only choice you had. It was either that or die."
Hobbes took a swig of his drink before continuing. "What you faced there, Ted... it wasn't really your friend anymore, you have to realize that. One of those..." Hobbes choked up for a second, his hand tightening around his glass, "...those things had him. Even if we got him out of there alive, we probably couldn't have done anything for him. I've had to make that choice before myself, and I know it's a hard one, but you have to remember that that's their only real way out, the ones who are taken. I know it's small consolation, but... you brought him peace."
A slight, dark-haired woman dressed in the uniform of a recon pilot enters the bar. She moves purposefully up to the bar, beckons the bartender over and leans towards him. He nods, reaches under the counter and produces a glass and a half-empty bottle.
Catching hold of both, the woman moves to the end of the bar and sits on a stool, carefully pouring out a measure of liquid into the glass.
Walks into the bar and spots a woman moving over to a stool, "Haven't seen you before you new? also i would not drink to much not out here anyway, Do you mind if i sit down ma'am?"
The woman turns slightly and takes a long look at this new arrival, her piercing gaze seeming to see to his very soul. Dismissively, she returns to her glass, "New? Not really, my assignments simply leave little time for frivolities. So, is there any way I can help, mister...uhh?..."
