Captain, y'all nearly re-kindled a war here when your flagship passed our home away from home. The air guard is operating on instinct and stimulants up at Pacifica in response to the joint Libertonian and Rheinlandic federal strikes on Unioner and Harmony installations throughout the system. That's my war. That's the noble cause. Y'all nearly relit conflict between the Legion and the Union; a war my movement isn't inclined to fight. We're reserve that to the essential causes. We're a decentralised movement an' individual freedom of action is a tenant of ours. We are a society, we're a people. We're not a peckin' order. We're not a chain of command. We don't wear uniforms to work. Facts of it are that regimentation is against what we believe in. If yer' not a serving member of the forces and you're just part of a militia, you don't come packing a badge. Now, 'Ah informed the Legion to as much, records y'all have access to. 'Ah even stated y'all could open fire upon Unioner demilitarised elements conductin' commerce interception in Liberty primary space without issue, unless they're corroborating with a Separatist group or hauling essential supplies for the Union civilian populace and refugee clearing camps.

Pacifica has sufficient defence forces to blast your tinker-toy to just another hulk around the Bering sun, five times over. Do not overestimate yer' position.

You wanna' be an honourable man? You wanna' do the right thing? You tell the Legion the truth of what happened here. If a solo Unioner bomber pilot tryin' to survive in some of the most hostile space the sector has the offer can keep it real, you, captain, behind your fifty feet of steel, cosy command chair, an' heavily medalled uniform, buttoned high, can tell the truth to power.

Whatever you do from here, whatever path you choose, will be yours. You will own it, captain. We will listen to diplomats. We will not negotiate with the barrel of a gun.

We want entente, but we're more than prepared for if you shatter it. Fiddlin' in Texas? Your business. Screwin' with Pacifica? Mine. That's a mutual respect we can both adhere to.

I'm going to be frank with you, I do not care if you're decentralized or not, we both wanted something from each other, but your members and your incompetence to at least keep your people in check, messed up the deal. I'm not going to waste my time picking out who is who, when he's flying under your tag, he's your responsibility.

Anythin' else is window-dressing. False-heroics. A man has to come to terms with the truth.

A pilot's duty is to stop the transport, the wealth generation for the one percent. If the captain doesn't comply, it is his responsibility to get everyone out. Our pilots gave the transport about a hundred and ninety seconds for crew evac'. They gave the crew more than enough time. That's longer than any lawfully mandated decompression drill. Our pilots are focused on targetin' the machine, an' usin' the false-wealth of the machine to feed their families, out in the rocks. They don't want to put their fellow men in coffins, but you blow a pressure vessel? People die. Till they can create EMP weapons that can stun entire transports in place, that is the reality of piracy. However, my pilot told the captain what would become of it. Since that captain lived to tell you about the whole story he clearly wasn't givin' up his seat on the pod for any of his crew - makes ya' think, doesn't it?

That rich DSE under-exec' who sent you that transmission was prepared to sacrifice others for his beliefs but not himself. Funny. My pilots are prepared to die every day for what they believe in, but they don't expect anyone else who doesn't have the same intention to be put in front of a gun. That "man" who sent you that transmission was happy to sacrifice his crew to look good in front of his boss. He's the real killer. The pilot was just a symptom of his evil.

People die in war, war is state-sponsored murder, don't dress it up. We're tryin' to create a post-war society such as existed in Sirius right up until the Eighty Years war ruined the lives of billions and the children of billions.
