There it was, the broken beauty of the ship which is known as Anath. An Osiris which was part of the Order fleet years before the battle and fall of Toledo. Assigned to it's Captain from Tovig Kelt.
Now, after it was nearly destroyed, after the sucessfull escape from Omircon Mu, after been ordered to stay at Thebes by the current leader of the Order, Golanski, the ship lies hidden in the remote system of Omega 55 for the most urgent repairs. Specifically the hull and engines. Therefore, the warship is swarmed by it's surviving techs and the Core to make the it flyable again. Walking through her vessel, the Captain takes a look at the status of the repairs. Seeing former enemies working together, installing new cable connections and sealing hull breaches. Take a trip throughout the ship since a long time, the she now gets an impression of how bad the damage really was. The captain passed through a working door right into the former mess, where once the soldiers dined and talked. Now however, it's filled with black body bags. Every single one of them containing one brave soldier who fought Core and Nomads alike, before they were trapped in the destroyed sections of the Anath. She stands in front of them and silently speaks a prayer for the brave men and woman.
Following the corridors – that lead out of the mess – further into the back of the ship she sees more and more engineers. Installing new consoles or repair broken ones. Everyone looks up when the captain passes by them.
„-Keep up the good work, Ladies and Gentlemen. If we want to have a chance, we have to work together.“ - their leader says with a calm voice. Nodding to the Core guards which still keep an eye on the techs. The way they look at the Captain, it is clear that they somehow find some respect to return for the ship, crew and the XO. With a last look around that part of the ship she continues to the next one. After removing one of her leather gloves, she gently touches the interior wall. She closes her eyes and concentrates. The ship's past and what the past holds emerges in her mind.
A brief moment later, she takes her hand off and slips it back in the glove. The ship's pain is reflected in her eyes. After a deep breath, the captain goes down the corridor and takes a right turn. While taking a look at the monstrous reactor, a tech steps up to the her.
„-Excuse me Captain...we have done all neccesary repairs and checked everything three or four times. We can't get it better. We would be pleased if you do the starting sequence.“ - The Captain looks into the eyes of the tech, then shaking the head. „-No. You did it, so the honor is all yours. Take your crew – everyone also the Core techs – and then do the test runs. It is your achievement.“ She then steps to the side, in order to make space for the engineers. A few minutes later, all the tech, engineers and simple mechanics are gathered near the reactor. The youngest of them proceed to enter the codes and initiate the startup sequence.
A red light begins to flash, warning everyone that the reactor is beeing started. After exactly 5 Minutes of hope and belief, the reactor is finally running again and on the maximum output possible. The risk days and months of living near a reactor that can go critical when it's pushed to it's limits have finally ended. Suddenly, the room is filled with the thunderous, deafening cheers of the crew. The captain however, didn't seem to hear or join the celebration. One thing was on her mind, he had to speak to the man that made it possible - Jack Daniels of the infamous Core.
