Now THAT would be awesome for a capship-to-capship weapon system... imagine it like long-range ship to ship cruise missiles used on naval ships today.

Its a shame that missile weapons are so ineffective against caps, I could see this being like a 10k range weapon (max targeting range) that you use while closing the distance with the enemy.
