Dear Adm. McIntire,
A mutual retired friend of ours referred me to you as MI-6 urgently requires the help of the Merchant Navy for a covert operation. I apologise that I cannot reveal the exact details of the mission at the moment, but I would not needlessly risk the lives of the Merchant Navy's officers unless it would ensure long term Bretonian interests. Please take the time to consult with your general staff and inform me if there are any ships and their crew from the BAF|MN who would be willing to volunteer for a dangerous but temporary [SIS] assignment.

Miss Perry,
First off I would like to extend my greetings to our mutual friend, I hope he finds his new work more fulfilling.
Getting back to topic, I am most certain the Merchant Navy can spare a few ships, even though it might not be a lot. You are aware of the scale of what awaits New London, most of them are helping to fortify the system.
I do have to ask what the men have to prepare for though, they have to be armed and supplied with the necessities for this mission. I can assure you this channel is as safe as it gets, should the details of the mission be beyond my security clearance a rough description of their task will suffice. I do not want to send my men into the unknown.
I will await your response.

Dear Adm. McIntire,
Your concerns are certainly justified. What I can tell you is that Intelligence Service intends to supply an allied group with military vehicles imported from abroad. This group has the funds, but not the means to obtain the military equipment they need themselves. This organisation has proven themselves a reliable partner and has a record of advancing Bretonian interests in the past. Our operation will help them continue to strengthen our long term objectives.
The assignment is dangerous as we will be dropping the vehicles off behind enemy lines in the Tau region. It is also a geopolitical sensitive area, as the Kusari government claims ownership over most of the Tau region, regardless of whether anyone recognises these claims. We will be taking necessary precautions to make sure our entrance and exit from the region is hidden. I have already asked the Defence Intelligence Staff to inform us of relatively unknown jump holes we can use to sneak ourselves in an out.
I appreciate your consideration of your pilots safety and although I can't guarantee it, SIS will do everything we can to bring them back without any harm.
Sincerely,
Adrienne Perry, Chief of Staff,
Secret Intelligence Service, Bretonia

Miss Perry,
That is enough information to prepare them for the assignment I suppose, but I urge you not to take a route over Orkney if that was part of the plan. The situation there has heated up considerably in the recent days and a good part of the Gallic response forces in the Tau region should be bound there. It will probably ease the route in other parts but Orkney would turn into a deathtrap. The Merchant Navy has experience in blocade breaching but even the best of them will not be able to breach through a battleline front up in but transports.
Nonetheless you will get the ships, taking the unpredictable situation in the Taus right now into account I will also order an experienced escort wing with them, you should be content with their performance in the field, they were last assigned to defend convoys in the Omega region.
But keep in mind they are soldiers, not agents. It would be best to keep them out of trouble unless you want it to heat up.
The order will go out today, expect the ships and crews to be ready within the next two to three days.
