That's not entirely true. The Core, with some outside help, organized this thing.
We cannot make anything happen if the other side refuses to partake in it. It is as simple as that.

Not trying to drag this into anything, but actually the great thing about this event is it doesn't matter if you get ganked. I got ganked lots of times. For example when that CR Dread showed up the other day. But I got a couple points and 20 million credits in that overall pew, so I felt fine. The 30 minute respawn timer also meant that if I died I didn't have to wait for ages to hop back in. Combined with the lack of RP consequences in this event, we had the catalyst for quick, constant pews with minimal chances of upset if people played their cards right.
You just have to take the plunge and get stuck in.
I was refering to the overall lack of communication between both officials and indie playerbases. Sorry but I remember cases where each of both sides didn't care but the indies gladly helped organizing things. As in, organizing prior, just to avoid discouraging situations like 2:1 outnumbering etc. etc.
Edit: And duh, Lyth, I know what getting ganked means. Not everyone wants to cope with this though. I planned to go 7v1 in that event but I didn't in the end, admitted.
Some people are tired of only getting ganked you know? But that's actually so obvious that you should not be surprised. Core and Order was ganking each other for years, a lot are tired of it. I see such discouragement in other places as well for various reasons, one always being ganks. It's just as it is, not everyone is cool with it.

Bizarrely, quite a few Order| ships showed up for the event that RP'd the NEMP strike on Dabadoru.

The other day I had this crazy idea that maybe new content such as new ships for an NPC faction might encourage indie drives.
Otherwise, the formula that kept the activity in the Omicrons Delta flowing was circlejerking around FP11. Now that that's gone, people seem to be stumped to find reasons to do anything.

I'm tired of it as well. This event let me breathe more easily for once however.
I am leader of Order|, yes. I dont know how it is within Core (and frankly I couldn't care less) but Order| is based on trust and freedom to pursue any Order-aligned goal our playerbase sees fit. My folk trust me not to force them into situations they dont sit comfortably with and they actually full right to log into this mess of yours. Few of my folk logged and earned their reward, rest decided to vote with where they put their activity in regards to your event. I am not going to whip Order| to dance for your enjoyment, Lyth.
I'd appreciate less gank-inducing event that doesnt involve INRP rabidly super anti-Order mentality factions for once. Transport ownership in Order| is on volunteer basis and mainly they are used towards low-key smuggling and occasional prop for mini-events.
If you're never going to bother to play then what's the point? It just seems like you sit in your officialdom spot and never do anything for anyone except literally yourself. When we don't have 'gank-inducing' events, as you call them, such as sign up pews or interception events, it's a massive struggle to get you to bother to show up at all. I have to go around you and talk to other members of your faction in hope that they can covertly relay the message to log in and do something fun. Time and time again people provide opportunities for both you and your faction to get involved. Not only do you cross your arms and refuse to partake yourself, but you go out of your way to inhibit your own faction from partaking.
Your indies are doing a better job at encouraging logging. Coalition and Corsairs are representing the defender presence more than the actual listed ID in the event. Consistently, time and time again, your encouragement and participation is absent when Order presence is required and it matters most. What are you even doing with your activity? I'm legitimately curious. Why even have Omicrons as your ZoI if you never do anything with it?
And if you still think I'm at fault and doing it all wrong, then how about you start organising things? Pull your weight if you're going to whinge and accuse others of getting it wrong. I'd like to see factions other than Core doing more to organize stuff in the Omicrons now that FP11 stuff is dead.
Your attitude needs to change because firstly it's boring, secondly, it's disappointing, and thirdly it's not the attitude an OFL should have. These events are designed to be inclusive, without consequence and above all fun. You're being childish.
When you'll take the hint I would preffer literally everyone, including Nome as Core 1iC instead of you? When you'll ever be happy with Order involvment? I stopped literally no one from logging to your event. They themselves decided there are other affairs far worth their time than another Omicron Delta in such quick succession. All time I ever participated in events such as this, I only seen the worst of what discovery community has to offer far more than spontaneous skirmishes.
And before you appear with a somewhat salted post now, Lyth. You can hardly forbid him to say what he thinks. And it is true, everyone was free to log and seemingly many had enough reasons to decide it was not really worth their time. It's just like this. Get over it. And if you cannot life with a leader not annoying the hell out of their members or whatever to make them log for something they simply don't want to log for, go start critizing me as a leader too. Do it.
