James El Harady is believed to have been born into a remote Zoner settlement in the lower Omicrons. He was approximately 15 months old when the escape pod he was in docked with Freeport 9. Everything known about his origin are conclusions drawn from his clothing at the time, the escape pod he arrived in and his DNA. Shortly after his arrival he was adopted and raised by Glenda and James El Harady Senior. During his early school years he showed an understanding for sciences that was slightly above average. More mentionable were his charisma and leadership skills, that he tended to abuse, despite his young age.
Education and early adulthood (785-793)
He finished his education without any mentionable successes or mishaps, but was often complimented on his new approach to established topics and outside-the-box thinking. His wrote his thesis on the growing field of artificial augmentations and the effects that replacing limbs and organs can have on the brain, focusing mostly on phantom pains and how they materialize in the human brain.
Career and presumed death (794-810)
El Harady worked on a colony ship for roughly two years after his graduation, before returning to the world of science. During his time on the mobile colony he continued to pursue both neurobiology and robotics as a hobby. He presented his work to the head of the local university and was accepted instantly. While nothing is known about what technology he exactly presented at his interview, it is believed that he developed an enhanced version of the neural controls for ship movement and weapons that uses the natural human reflexes and is still used in most Zoner escort ships to this day. El Harady joined a smaller, elite group that focused their research on abandoned societies in the Omicrons that were isolated for a long enough time to develop unique and undiscovered technology. After quite a few successful expeditions El Harady became the head of research within the group and also became well known among the sponsors of the university. In early 810 he took initiative and pitched an expedition to one of the biggest sponsors and got fundings for a large scale multi-ship expedition to Planet Gammu in Omicron Kappa. There are little to no clear facts on what what exactly happened on Gammu. After a few weeks the communication with the expedition cut out and all participants were declared dead after one year without a trace of them.
Post expedition (811-Present)
While El Harady was officially declared dead on July 5th 811 there were rumors of people encountering a group of people led by someone who went by the name of James El Harady. The description of their vessels also matched some of the ships involved into the initial expedition. The group was spotted heading out even further into undiscovered Omicron space, before resurfacing again in 814 as a questionable research group known as the Canaan Project. While their leader shares not only the name, but also most physical features with James El Harady who led the initial expedition, it is unlikely that it actually is the same person. While the odds that the expedition would be a success were slim to begin with, the odds of El Harady actually surviving the hostile environment of Planet Gammu for two years or even longer are almost non-existent.
