Got another job if you're interested in the almighty credit. The project had.. some set-backs, but that's how life goes. Mostly, I'll need a refill of sorts on that depot.
Do reply if you're still around, even if you don't want it.
seeing your transmission reminds me of better days. You may or may not have heard about the disaster in the Omicrons, but since those events I am no longer part of OSI, CoF or the Zoner Community anymore. In fact, I don't even have a ship anymore.
I suggest, if you need legal haulers, just contact OSI. I believe they are still quite active.
That's poor news. Very poor news. I've heard what happened in the Omicrons, but didn't truly knew your name was in the middle of that mess in that god-forsaken hellhole.
What are you up to these days? Hiding, looking over your shoulder like death would be coming for you any minute now? Or you're actually retired, another pawn in the grand game, removed?
You see, I like people that don't fail. Professionals in their work. Hard to come by in the sector. Every year, harder to. You did right by me, I'll do right by you if you want. You want a ship to work? I can get you that. You want papers? I know the people that actually put your fake name in the registry of every database and that fake name.. Becomes a true name.
I'm afraid I can be counted to the ones that have retired, Dagon.
When I was adminitrating Freeport 11 and actively defending our turf, enforcing the laws of the NFZ, I came to realization that space is nothing for me anymore. I earned myself good money as Advisor and later as Director of OSI, but in the end that money ended up in the construction of refugee camps on Canaria or was eaten up by the maintenance and repair costs of the Dreamweaver. I ended up selling the ship to some research group called Keepstar, who are operating in Omicron Delta, researching the debris of a giant asteroid that broke apart there a few months ago. Had to pay out the crew and make sure they all got home, and now I have retired here on Barrier.
Thanks to people like Golanski. The Order isn't reliable anymore as long as that maniac is leading it. In the old days, they were supposed to be the protectors of mankind, but instead they have threatened to nuke Canaria to prevent an alliance which could have brought stability to the Omicrons. Ironic, isn't it? I thought they were joking when they said I need to disappear or they would send someone to reward me for the idea to create an alliance between the Zoners and the Core, until two Order bombers found us in the Taus during a mining operation. One of them got destroyed, the other escaped.
No, I won't set a foot on any ship anymore. I'm sorry, but no matter what offer you have for me, I have to decline.
Everything you fought for, swept away. Can't say I understand, because I can't. I haven't lost what you lost, no doubt. All I can say is.. If you ever need something, Mr. Akibara, just ask. It was a pleasure doing business with you. There aren't much around like you.
By the way, if you ever decide to leave that hunk of rock in the Barrier, head to Guadalajara. Good place to start over.
And decent folk, trying to make a living away from everything.
