{{{ Personal Log: Erin Deacon, Tau 44
{{{ 6/14/825 AS
Log Begins:
I think it's safe to say at this point that I've properly begun settling in here among these Octavarium chaps. I managed to get the Elson's Rebellion to Tau 44, to near one of their- ..well I guess now our facilities, Melbourne. I've now got a few of their junior technicians looking at getting this rust bucket fixed up, as it's right now barely holding together; Engine 3 is out completely, and Engine 2 is looking like it'll be following suit before long. Mercifully, the staff sent over seems to know what they're doing, if nothing else, they've managed to get my cupholder working and that only took them about an hour, from start to finish. Given that, i'm not entirely hopeful as to the Rebellion's future health, both these guys look pretty green.
Their engineering staff's shortcomings aside, I pulled my old Bayonet out of the storage container I left it in on Ames a few years ago, and got her up and running. Removing some of the old stenciled logos and detailing from when I used to fly her took some effort, I had to look up one of those DIY tutorials online to do it but me and a few techs managed it. Yesterday a couple of Octavarium ships were prepping to go out on a patrol around the same time, so seeing an opportunity to get some flight time logged, I tagged along.
A few hours of hard burn for the patrol through 37 later, we came across an Outcast vessel, a Storta just idling on the edge of the Bermejo Cloud and flying a hostile 72nd identifier. Whomever it was flying the NO-I-Prophecy, I didn't catch a name, had us move in for contact for a while, and the ensuing conversation was.. enlightening to say the least. I only worked with the Nation of Malta for a brief time, but it seemed that even through social-osmosis, I learned more about how the Outcasts live their daily lives than these 72nd knew... which was odd to say the least. Further interest was piqued with the whole situation when a cloaked SIS vessel showed up and started railing into the 72nd captain about some apparent offense one of their buddies had committed down in Bretonian territory. One rather amusing note was that the 72nd captain (or communications officer, I never figured out who we were talking to) claimed their organization was friendly to Bretonia, only for the SIS agent to come back a few minutes later and rebuke the claim.
Needless to say, laughter ensued.
Full transcripts of the encounter will be attached with this log, and I think I'm gonna keep this whole thing separate from the Octavarium's internal comms until otherwise deemed necessary, probably best that way for the time being.
[14.06.2018 02:10:20] NO-I-Prophecy: Evening.
[14.06.2018 02:10:26] NO-I-Paranoid: oh you're going further in
[14.06.2018 02:10:28] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Hola, pilotes.
[14.06.2018 02:10:34] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: // pilots*
[14.06.2018 02:10:39] ZenMaul: safe journey
[14.06.2018 02:11:10] NO-I-Prophecy: Curious as to what your transponder tag is about.
[14.06.2018 02:11:19] NO-I-Prophecy: I did not know there were seventy-two fleets in the Maltese Navy.
[14.06.2018 02:11:27] NO-Erin.Deacon: Dont believe there are.
[14.06.2018 02:11:47] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: There aren't, amigo. It's there for legacy reasons.
[14.06.2018 02:11:49] NO-Erin.Deacon: Not that I'd know exactly really.
[14.06.2018 02:12:01] NO-I-Prophecy: Legacy reasons?
[14.06.2018 02:12:13] NO-I-Prophecy: I didn't know the Maltese Navy had at any point seventy-two battlegroups.
[14.06.2018 02:12:27] NO-Erin.Deacon: Again, don't believe they ever did.
[14.06.2018 02:12:27] NO-I-Prophecy: Just curious is all.
[14.06.2018 02:12:49] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I believe it is more of a 'successor' counter.
[14.06.2018 02:12:50] NO-I-Paranoid: Lots of fighter squadrons, though I think some of it was sequential numbering instead of simultaneous
[14.06.2018 02:13:03] NO-I-Prophecy: Interesting.
[14.06.2018 02:13:14] NO-I-Paranoid: I can't really complain, I had the highest number
[14.06.2018 02:13:21] NO-I-Prophecy: You uh, associated with the National Council or something?
[14.06.2018 02:13:40] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Oh, no.
[14.06.2018 02:13:44] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Of course not
[14.06.2018 02:13:47] NO-Erin.Deacon: Or those other Maltese chaps... Amari Doctors or whatever?
[14.06.2018 02:14:08] NO-I-Paranoid: Eh, I like the more subtle joke of making the new OIC unit Squadron 451
[14.06.2018 02:14:26] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Hm.. was not aware of another division..
[14.06.2018 02:14:40] ZenMaul: Nice ship 72nd
[14.06.2018 02:14:49] NO-Erin.Deacon: ... "division"... do you mean famiglia?
[14.06.2018 02:15:13] NO-I-Prophecy: I don't think that's what they're called, but yes, the Amalfi Directorate *she coughs* is a good group of friends of ours.
[14.06.2018 02:15:45] NO-Erin.Deacon: Ah, gotchya. Sorry, newbie here.
[14.06.2018 02:15:49] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Interesting..
[14.06.2018 02:15:56] NO-I-Prophecy: Interesting, how?
[14.06.2018 02:16:17] NO-I-Paranoid: Feels like I'm gonna be here for a bit...
[14.06.2018 02:16:42] NO-Erin.Deacon: forth dimensional vostroyan roulette hypercube chess strip poker, more like
[14.06.2018 02:16:51] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I suspect our low profile might be working against us, then..
[14.06.2018 02:17:05] NO-I-Paranoid: [ System status check initiated ]
[14.06.2018 02:17:07] NO-I-Prophecy: Likewise.
[14.06.2018 02:18:03] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Apologies, but this is the first I'm hearing about this.. 'Amalfi Directorate'..
[14.06.2018 02:18:23] NO-I-Prophecy: Really? Because that looks like a destroyer, not a cryo-stasis carrier.
[14.06.2018 02:18:32] NO-Erin.Deacon: Well apparently they're friends of the Octavarium. News to me but I just started here.
[14.06.2018 02:19:07] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Perhaps the Senor has been too occupied with formation than speading intelligence...
[14.06.2018 02:19:16] NO-Erin.Deacon: "formation"
[14.06.2018 02:19:28] NO-I-Prophecy: Mm. Agent Mindcrime, by the way. And you are?
[14.06.2018 02:19:54] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Colonal Jose Vargas, Republic of Malta Armed Forces.
[14.06.2018 02:19:59] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: A pleasure.
[14.06.2018 02:20:09] NO-I-Prophecy: There's a Republic of Malta?
[14.06.2018 02:20:15] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Si.
[14.06.2018 02:20:17] NO-Erin.Deacon: *snrk*
[14.06.2018 02:20:44] NO-I-Prophecy: Ms. Deacon, are you looking at funny cat photos over there or is there something you'd like to share with the class?
[14.06.2018 02:21:16] NO-Erin.Deacon: Nope. Just uh.. checking Spacebook and someone made a funny political joke. Nothing to worry about.
[14.06.2018 02:22:26] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: We've been... somewhat active for I suspect a few months now..
[14.06.2018 02:22:33] NO-I-Prophecy: So... that reaction to the Council. Are you not big fans of theirs?
[14.06.2018 02:22:33] NO-I-Paranoid: could've fooled me
[14.06.2018 02:22:52] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: The Council? No..
[14.06.2018 02:23:19] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: They'd rather enlist the help of nomadic infectees than aid their own people..
[14.06.2018 02:23:30] NO-I-Prophecy: Odd. I thought I said Council, not Commune.
[14.06.2018 02:23:31] NO-Erin.Deacon: "Aid their own people"
[14.06.2018 02:23:43] NO-Erin.Deacon: care to explain?
[14.06.2018 02:23:51] NO-Erin.Deacon: you have my curiosity
[14.06.2018 02:24:03] NO-I-Prophecy: Mine as well.
[14.06.2018 02:24:11] NO-I-Paranoid: Yep, I'm listenin'
[14.06.2018 02:24:12] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I suspect the term 'slavery' is known to you? Cartel?
[14.06.2018 02:24:30] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: No bounds the corrupted Councilmen will go to to further their own goals..
[14.06.2018 02:24:40] NO-Erin.Deacon: Yeah I know. Thats how they do things: workers are brought from their enslaved positions in Liberty, and are given --
[14.06.2018 02:24:47] NO-Erin.Deacon: safety and housing on Malta in exchange for work.
[14.06.2018 02:24:45] NO-I-Prophecy: Oh, hello there.
[14.06.2018 02:24:54] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Hello again.
[14.06.2018 02:24:59] NO-Erin.Deacon: Found that out from a friend of mine during my junker days.
[14.06.2018 02:25:04] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Hola once more, Bretonian.
[14.06.2018 02:25:06] NO-Erin.Deacon: Thought it was common knowledge.
[14.06.2018 02:25:08] NO-I-Paranoid: [ Shield system scan complete. Scanner system check initiated ]
[14.06.2018 02:25:19] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Si.. it's sickening, to be honest..
[14.06.2018 02:25:43] NO-Erin.Deacon: Is it? They're released after a set time from what I know. Given new lives and new opportunities.
[14.06.2018 02:25:45] NO-I-Prophecy: So... you're not aligned with the interests of the reigning Maltese families,s then?
[14.06.2018 02:25:47] NO-Erin.Deacon: That not the case?
[14.06.2018 02:26:29] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Would you prefer a man stolen from his own to be taught a new life elsewhere?
[14.06.2018 02:26:48] NO-Erin.Deacon: I mean most of them were already enslaved in Liberty by their corporate giants
[14.06.2018 02:26:49] NO-I-Prophecy: Agent... Skirka? I think I'm pronouncing that correctly. It's good to see fellow agents of the right side of life out here.
[14.06.2018 02:26:55] NO-Erin.Deacon: Liberty's kinda a hellhole like that.
[14.06.2018 02:27:20] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Slavery is far different than employment.
[14.06.2018 02:27:20] [SIS]-James.Skirka: A rare few, yes, it is.
[14.06.2018 02:27:30] NO-I-Prophecy: Hrm.
[14.06.2018 02:28:18] NO-I-Prophecy: So, going back to my question, Captain. Are you... not working in the same interests as the reigning families?
[14.06.2018 02:29:20] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Si. We work for the interests of our own people, which include those brought to Malta against their will.
[14.06.2018 02:29:33] NO-Erin.Deacon: Sure.
[14.06.2018 02:29:48] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Your 'Own people'? Are you with the exiles?
[14.06.2018 02:30:16] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: In a way, yes. They have been rather helpful in keeping the Fleet alive during our time away from the homeland.
[14.06.2018 02:30:57] [SIS]-James.Skirka: What..?
[14.06.2018 02:31:14] NO-Erin.Deacon: also: what
[14.06.2018 02:31:16] NO-I-Prophecy: So... what's your thoughts on Bretonia?
[14.06.2018 02:31:20] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Someone get the National Council on the line..
[14.06.2018 02:31:46] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Without Bretonia, we wouldn't have much of an array of allies..
[14.06.2018 02:31:49] [SIS]-James.Skirka: What do I think? To be honest, I can make neither heads nor tails of this.
[14.06.2018 02:32:23] NO-I-Paranoid: Really, now? Hm.
[14.06.2018 02:33:06] NO-I-Prophecy: So this all leads me to another interesting question.
[14.06.2018 02:33:16] NO-I-Prophecy: Who in the region are you allied with?
[14.06.2018 02:33:16] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Do ask.
[14.06.2018 02:33:43] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: The Kingdom, the Crayterians..
[14.06.2018 02:33:53] NO-I-Prophecy: The Kingdom?
[14.06.2018 02:33:59] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Bretonia.
[14.06.2018 02:34:05] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Empire.
[14.06.2018 02:34:20] NO-I-Prophecy: I figured that was the title, yes.
[14.06.2018 02:34:23] NO-I-Prophecy: he is
[14.06.2018 02:34:24] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Get it right.
[14.06.2018 02:34:35] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Ah. We were under the understanding it was still the 'United Kingdom of Bretonia'.
[14.06.2018 02:34:55] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I will notify my command.. have that issue ironed out..
[14.06.2018 02:35:10] NO-I-Prophecy: And we were under the impression it was still the Nacion de Malta.
[14.06.2018 02:35:22] NO-I-Paranoid: Your accent needs work there, M.
[14.06.2018 02:35:38] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: For now, I suppose it is.
[14.06.2018 02:35:47] NO-Erin.Deacon: "For now" ?
[14.06.2018 02:35:49] NO-I-Prophecy: I took Kusari cultural classes in college, not Maltese.
[14.06.2018 02:36:18] NO-Erin.Deacon: I just hauled cargo in college. Only schooling I really got was some online courses. Good way to pursue education, actually.
[14.06.2018 02:36:33] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Si. Maltese culture has a semi-useful habit of collapsing once the people understand the truth.
[14.06.2018 02:36:34] NO-I-Prophecy: Mainly because they don't offer Maltese cultural classes at the Kutztown University on Erie.
[14.06.2018 02:36:44] NO-I-Prophecy: The truth?
[14.06.2018 02:37:23] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: They disposed of the Cross for their acceptance of the Nomads.. they'll dispose of the Council the same way.
[14.06.2018 02:37:45] NO-I-Prophecy: They?
[14.06.2018 02:37:45] NO-Erin.Deacon: The council doesn't do that though from what I've been told..
[14.06.2018 02:38:09] NO-Erin.Deacon: In fact they're not a big fan of the jellyfish if I've been informed correctly.
[14.06.2018 02:38:14] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: What you've been told isn't always reality, amigo.
[14.06.2018 02:38:21] NO-I-Prophecy: Forgive me. The last time I was really interested in illegal Maltese rebellions, it was the Contari Uprising.
[14.06.2018 02:38:26] NO-Erin.Deacon: Same could be said for you - ameegoh
[14.06.2018 02:38:44] NO-I-Prophecy: *cough* C, you cannot give me hell about my pronunciation anymore.
[14.06.2018 02:38:57] NO-I-Paranoid: Sure I can. I expect less from the Fleet.
[14.06.2018 02:39:07] NO-Erin.Deacon: Ouch. Rude.
[14.06.2018 02:39:14] NO-I-Prophecy: Dang.
[14.06.2018 02:39:14] NO-Erin.Deacon: Gonna need a burn heal for that one.
[14.06.2018 02:39:23] NO-I-Prophecy: We'll get you some medi-gel back in 44.
[14.06.2018 02:39:46] NO-I-Prophecy: Or Victoria or whatever Kane is calling it.
[14.06.2018 02:39:55] NO-I-Paranoid: So, help me out Skirka
[14.06.2018 02:39:58] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I don't expect newly informed individuals to fully accept what we are.
[14.06.2018 02:40:09] NO-I-Paranoid: Bretonia still doesn't have a full-on uprising, right?
[14.06.2018 02:40:17] NO-I-Prophecy: I don't believe they do.
[14.06.2018 02:40:38] [SIS]-James.Skirka: I don't see any documentation indicating an alliance with the crown sir.
[14.06.2018 02:40:39] NO-I-Prophecy: I mean, there's the illegal occupation in Leeds of course
[14.06.2018 02:41:26] [SIS]-James.Skirka: There was one account of one of your ships being seen with the leader of the Maltese Exiles.
[14.06.2018 02:42:11] NO-I-Prophecy: Yeah, I see them too.
[14.06.2018 02:42:33] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Is there an issue with the Exiles we should be aware of?
[14.06.2018 02:42:35] NO-I-Prophecy: Looks like a smudge on the screen to me.
[14.06.2018 02:43:06] [SIS]-James.Skirka: The Exiles are not permitted in Bretonia.
[14.06.2018 02:43:08] NO-I-Paranoid: admin scanner has a cargo range of 12k, but you can't actually select players past 10k, what?
[14.06.2018 02:43:14] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I see..
[14.06.2018 02:44:31] [SIS]-James.Skirka: I cannot find any evidence supporting your claims sir.
[14.06.2018 02:44:41] NO-Erin.Deacon: Oof.
[14.06.2018 02:44:52] [SIS]-James.Skirka: I am unaware of any buisness you have had with the crown.
[14.06.2018 02:46:01] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I believe at the very least we've offered our services in the way of... 'bounty hunting'..? Royalists, of course..
[14.06.2018 02:46:29] NO-I-Prophecy: Interesting.
[14.06.2018 02:47:44] NO-I-Prophecy: One other question, captain Vargas.
[14.06.2018 02:47:45] NO-I-Paranoid: ah, fair point
[14.06.2018 02:47:49] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Of course.
[14.06.2018 02:48:11] NO-I-Prophecy: You mentioned Crayterians were your allies and the National Council were your enemies, but you also claim to be of Malta.
[14.06.2018 02:48:19] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Si.
[14.06.2018 02:48:29] NO-Erin.Deacon: Dont think thats how that works pal...
[14.06.2018 02:48:41] NO-I-Prophecy: I'm trying to find a pleasant way to phrase this.
[14.06.2018 02:48:46] NO-I-Prophecy: But have you a history of self-harm?
[14.06.2018 02:49:01] NO-I-Prophecy: Because you seem really at odds with yourself and your people here.
[14.06.2018 02:49:10] NO-I-Paranoid: I would say that tends to also involve a history of drug use, buuuuut...
[14.06.2018 02:49:11] NO-I-Prophecy: And, judging by the rebel flags, authority.
[14.06.2018 02:49:19] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I beg your pardon?
[14.06.2018 02:49:55] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I have no issue with authority, amigo. I'll happily follow Senor Santiago and the Presidente to the end.
[14.06.2018 02:50:01] NO-I-Prophecy: You're allied with enemies of the Maltese people and reigning Maltese factions, though, right?
[14.06.2018 02:50:08] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Si.
[14.06.2018 02:50:30] NO-I-Prophecy: And you're apparently installing a new government in Malta despite there being a reigning family on Malta?
[14.06.2018 02:50:46] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Hold the phone...one of your lot owes us an explanation it seems.
[14.06.2018 02:51:20] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Do explain, Bretonian.
[14.06.2018 02:51:43] [SIS]-James.Skirka: A 72nd was caught attacking a Privateer within Bretonian space.
[14.06.2018 02:51:51] NO-Erin.Deacon: -Oh.-
[14.06.2018 02:51:54] NO-I-Prophecy: Oh?
[14.06.2018 02:51:58] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: That's... unusual..
[14.06.2018 02:52:01] NO-Erin.Deacon: Aaaaaawkwaaaaard.
[14.06.2018 02:52:03] NO-I-Paranoid: Yeah that's a word for it.
[14.06.2018 02:52:04] [SIS]-James.Skirka: He never offered any explanation and left before charges could be levied.
[14.06.2018 02:52:17] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Did you happen to note the pilot's name, by chance?
[14.06.2018 02:52:39] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Leonardo Valdez.
[14.06.2018 02:53:12] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Hm.. that's interesting..
[14.06.2018 02:53:31] NO-Erin.Deacon: I'd get that squared with your 'ally', if I were you ameegoh.
[14.06.2018 02:53:44] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I'll notify the Admiralty.. what would the fine be for such, pilot?
[14.06.2018 02:54:01] NO-I-Paranoid: I feel like you're forcing that one, Deacon.
[14.06.2018 02:54:22] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Assault, disturbing the peace, disobeying the orders of a crown offical.
[14.06.2018 02:54:30] NO-Erin.Deacon: I'm entitled to make whatever gramatical screw-ups I like.
[14.06.2018 02:54:32] NO-I-Prophecy: It honestly sounds like you're trying to mispronounce amigo.
[14.06.2018 02:54:54] NO-Erin.Deacon: As is my right by... actually hang on, I haven't read the Natio's legal code yet... crap.
[14.06.2018 02:55:03] NO-I-Prophecy: isn't it just marvelous
[14.06.2018 02:55:24] NO-I-Paranoid: I mean, obviously we're not gonna regulate how you talk, we're not friggin' Rheinland
[14.06.2018 02:55:35] NO-Erin.Deacon: Aaah Rheinland.
[14.06.2018 02:55:37] NO-Erin.Deacon: Good times.
[14.06.2018 02:56:25] NO-I-Prophecy: what did you just fire at
[14.06.2018 02:57:01] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: If possible, I'd like to know how much Senor Valdez's actions would be fined for..
[14.06.2018 02:57:26] NO-I-Paranoid: this guy's got a hard-on for 66% of an ellipsis
[14.06.2018 02:57:35] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I can notify the Treasury and have them mend this... unusual circumstance..
[14.06.2018 02:57:41] NO-I-Prophecy: Evening, Miner.
[14.06.2018 02:57:47] Geoffrey.Chaucer: Hello.
[14.06.2018 02:58:04] [SIS]-James.Skirka: Seven Million credits would be the grand total.
[14.06.2018 02:58:16] Geoffrey.Chaucer: A pacifict cruiser.
[14.06.2018 02:58:35] NO-I-Paranoid: Friend, I think you're a bit lost.
[14.06.2018 02:58:49] NO-I-Prophecy: I think we're all a bit lost in life.
[14.06.2018 02:58:54] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Understood. I'll notify the Treasurer.. is there any visual evidence of this act still in existance?
[14.06.2018 02:59:07] NO-I-Paranoid: M, I just... no, okay.
[14.06.2018 02:59:08] [SIS]-James.Skirka: I will have to look into that matter.
[14.06.2018 02:59:19] [SIS]-James.Skirka: I'm uncertain right off the top of my head.
[14.06.2018 02:59:39] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: If you find any, I'm sure the Admiralty would want to see it..
[14.06.2018 02:59:41] NO-I-Paranoid: Fighters are usually a poor platform for carrying evidence anyway.
[14.06.2018 03:00:54] NO-I-Prophecy: Yeah. Same with SIS'.
[14.06.2018 03:01:09] NO-I-Prophecy: It's an interesting situation isn't it?
[14.06.2018 03:01:17] FLS-Independence: Is it?
[14.06.2018 03:01:20] Geoffrey.Chaucer: What a bizarre standoff.
[14.06.2018 03:01:30] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Such an array of colors..
[14.06.2018 03:01:38] NO-I-Prophecy: We live in bizarre times.
[14.06.2018 03:02:17] FLS-Independence: Whats sakin here?
[14.06.2018 03:02:24] NO-Erin.Deacon: quite the array of ships here...
[14.06.2018 03:02:39] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I trust the mining efforts go well, Miner.
[14.06.2018 03:02:43] NO-I-Paranoid: Usualy these gatherings happen at a Freeport, not an ice cloud...
[14.06.2018 03:02:45] NO-I-Prophecy: I haven't actually seen one of those things up close before.
[14.06.2018 03:02:49] Geoffrey.Chaucer: They go really well indeed.
[14.06.2018 03:03:21] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Good.
[14.06.2018 03:03:38] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: I trust you won't find any issues going forward.
[14.06.2018 03:03:41] NO-I-Paranoid: Independence, what's your crew complement, if you don't mind me asking?
[14.06.2018 03:04:02] FLS-Independence: "Complement"?
[14.06.2018 03:04:29] NO-I-Paranoid: alright I'll dumb it down, how many people are working on your boat
[14.06.2018 03:04:38] Geoffrey.Chaucer: *chuckles*
[14.06.2018 03:04:50] NO-Erin.Deacon: Ah well. Back to checking Spacebook.
[14.06.2018 03:05:11] FLS-Independence: All my crew are robots for now, cheaper than hire crew to be honest
[14.06.2018 03:05:29] FLS-Independence: And who's asking by the way?
[14.06.2018 03:05:32] NO-I-Paranoid: Huh. That would make sense, actually.
[14.06.2018 03:05:49] NO-I-Paranoid: Corona, Octavarium Intelligence Commission. We've been considering one of those carriers in the near future.
[14.06.2018 03:06:02] NO-I-Prophecy: Mindcrime, OIC as well.
[14.06.2018 03:06:10] FLS-Independence: Octavarium... I think i heard of that
[14.06.2018 03:06:19] NO-I-Paranoid: well that's an improvement
[14.06.2018 03:06:46] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: If it's all well, we'll return to port in Tau, pilots.
[14.06.2018 03:06:54] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: Fly safely.
[14.06.2018 03:07:08] NO-Erin.Deacon: Yeah sure.. Good luck and whatnot.
[14.06.2018 03:07:14] 72nd|MNS-Santa.Maria: Vargas: You as well.
[14.06.2018 03:07:17] FLS-Independence: Its a good ship indeed, for support, survey and moving fleets, but my main quest is exploring the Sirius wide
[14.06.2018 03:07:32] NO-I-Paranoid: Yeah, definitely want somethin' sturdy and comfortable for that.
[14.06.2018 03:07:33] NO-I-Prophecy: I'd say good flying, but he's already gone.

{{{ Personal Log: Erin Deacon, Tau 44
{{{ 6/18/825 AS
Log Begins:
Gonna keep things brief today: a bit of an odd set of flight orders hit my datapad last night just before I stowed the Bayonet for nightly maintenance and refueling. I launched from Melbourne's Module 2, met up with a suspiciously quiet Harold Kane, and we gunned it for Tau-23. A few hours later I was a little surprised to find out who we were meeting with when the SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin was sitting idle at our destination point: turns out the Natio has planned an arms deal with the SCRA of all people - not the friendliest sort but the captain we met with was cordial enough while we talked. The conversation was short, Kane apparently wanted to continue it on Melbourne proper to fully hammer out pricing with the transport captain. We went back to the station and the two began discussing the details of the deal as they lined up to land. Around the time I heard the phrases "pricing" and "inflation", I more or less tuned the whole conversation out and found my way to Module 3 to bunker down for the night.
Everything of note I got ahold of is presently logged in the Bayonet's data-recorder, which tomorrow morning I'll download and toss in as an attachment to this log. Deacon, out.
[18.06.2018 03:34:47] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: So, You must be the people the Minister instructed me to find.
[18.06.2018 03:35:05] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Seems that way.
[18.06.2018 03:35:34] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Minister Harold Kane, head of Relations for the Natio.
[18.06.2018 03:35:47] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: Erin Deacon.. Uh... Escort pilot.
[18.06.2018 03:36:27] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: Trevor Danes, Transport Capitan for Volgograd Industrial.
[18.06.2018 03:36:54] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: Sorry, Bombardier Deacon.
[18.06.2018 03:37:02] NO-F-Harold.Kane: It's been a while since we've had much contact with the Coalition, but we've heard many good things about Volgograd's... goods.
[18.06.2018 03:37:24] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: They are the finest military equipment findable in Sirius.
[18.06.2018 03:37:35] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: You sure about that?
[18.06.2018 03:37:57] NO-F-Harold.Kane: So we've heard. We're under the impression that there are some elements that would be very interested in getting guaranteed--
[18.06.2018 03:38:13] NO-F-Harold.Kane: --quality military hardware at acceptable but realistic prices.
[18.06.2018 03:38:24] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Specifically in our region up here.
[18.06.2018 03:38:33] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Elements that you may not be able to directly access.
[18.06.2018 03:39:02] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: The quality of our hardware is second to none. I may not be the best to negotiate with. That is more the Minister's -
[18.06.2018 03:40:28] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: Thing, but you are right, many groups want our equipment. If we entered a deal it could go well.
[18.06.2018 03:40:59] NO-F-Harold.Kane: We're something of local mediators between hostile elements. For a price of course. And we support the Coalition's operations--
[18.06.2018 03:41:24] NO-F-Harold.Kane: -- in the southern regions of Sirius, so I think we can most likely work something out.
[18.06.2018 03:42:19] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: While I cannot speak for the entirety of VI, as long as all workers are treated well in the process and you do not sell
[18.06.2018 03:42:32] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: To our enemies I do not see why we would have any issues.
[18.06.2018 03:43:06] NO-F-Harold.Kane: In short, we'd like to support the revolution directly through Volgograd Industrial. We'll primarily be using the hardware for-
[18.06.2018 03:43:27] NO-F-Harold.Kane: --our own uses, of course. Though some of it will go on to mutual allies.
[18.06.2018 03:44:18] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: Well, if you can take me to where you want the arms delivered then I can report back to the MoP and he can make a more
[18.06.2018 03:44:25] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: Permanent agreement.
[18.06.2018 03:44:54] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Our current installation may be... difficult for Volgograd to work with. We're a bit close to some Crayterian assets, though in
[18.06.2018 03:45:04] NO-F-Harold.Kane: the near future we'll be setting up a trade depot in a more neutral location.
[18.06.2018 03:45:54] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: Crayter last I checked is on good standing with the Coalition, I haven't heard of any changes.
[18.06.2018 03:46:40] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: I wasn't even aware the two knew of eachother.
[18.06.2018 03:46:45] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Perfect. Currently our "port of entry" so to speak is also our primary government facility but that will be changing in the--
[18.06.2018 03:46:49] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: Interesting, I guess.
[18.06.2018 03:46:52] NO-F-Harold.Kane: --near future as I mentioned.
[18.06.2018 03:47:39] SCRA|VI-CPS-Nezhin: Trevor: Take point?
[18.06.2018 03:47:45] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Sounds good.
[18.06.2018 03:54:41] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Welcome to Melbourne airspace.
[18.06.2018 03:54:49] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: It's actually just space-space.
[18.06.2018 03:54:57] NO-F-Erin.Deacon: But we call it airspace.
[18.06.2018 04:04:06] NO-F-Harold.Kane: Crayter patrols. Never a fun thing to deal with.
