I have news for you in regards to the situation within Bering.

Recent shifts in the Unioner's leaderships have lead to hostilities between them and us.

Eventually these escalated into open confrontation.

As of now the Unioners managed to push back our first probing attacks on their installation.

Even before this, Unioner transports were part of our supply network. If these developments continue, we're running risk of the Unioners pushing us back.
I'm certain that support from your side would be in Rheinland's best interests. An access to supplies would be more than welcome.

In addition I have a report for the Buro from one of my scouts. Liberty seems to be fairly interested in the Omicrons as of late.
We know of multiple ships scouting the Omicrons including the ONS branch of the LSF.

Their presence there is the reason for our scouts. Maybe together we can find out why they're there.

Oh that’s funny. That's real funny. I've had a talk with my strategic officers on the situation and I'll get to their concerns later on. The Issue with LSF and ONS is minuscule to what I'm about to say...

As news has currently spread like wild fire, we're currently at war-scenario protocol. The Hessians and Crete were problems Rheinland could safely manage. But the sudden inclusion of another conflict front at the sigma regions certainly escalated the threat numbers that the state of Rheinland is facing. I've already increased the amount of logistic support lines we're currently maintaining to supply our flotilla. As such I've had to further reduce the supplies we're sending out to external affiliates.

But don't pat yourselves on the back to say that you've caused none of this. Because I've suddenly had to deal with the 'regulation' of trade tolls that you've so hastily put in place within the economic highway that is the Bering/Hudson systems. You have dropped a knife into the foot of the Buro and have proceeded to ask us for more to wield. You have suddenly re-routed the supply from the Bering/Hudson corridor that most Libertonian and Rheinland corporations use, but are forcing them to take paths through the Bretonia-Omega lines which suddenly seems inherently more secure for their profit margins despite the longer and heavily stretched path that it requires. In result, not only have you also strangled the supply routes we need to support not just us. But also to yourselves.

Don't think this is your only mistake, you've stretched your hands too wide and have punched the eagle of Rheinland and made yourself unignorably an issue for the Bundesrepublik. You attempted claim on both the Bering and Hudson systems have started to draw armed attention of civilian, corporate and military alike, you failed to adhere that these territories also belong to The Bundesrepublik Rheinland. I wouldn't be surprised if the military start to look in your direction regardless of the war they now have to face with encouragement from the corporate oligarchs. You're a battlegroup, remember your limits. Your loss of friendship with the Unioners has put you in greater danger than you seem to perceive. I wouldn't be surprised if the lane hackers had to pull out their operations due from the loss of piracy-profit with no traffic to take advantage of, but in addition to the risk their resources would take with you now about to face pressure from two giants.

This is a valuable warning I’m providing you here, take note.

Certainly regulations were put in place hastily as the requirement for a structured system arose recently.

We require those trade tolls to keep our operations ongoing. Taking over both the role of an attacker and protector with limited manpower is no cheap operations. As you most likely know. We regard Rheinland's claim on the southern part of Hudson as valid. With Rheinland forces nowhere to be seen in Bering and Liberty being pushed out by us we're forced to take over the system completely.

In regards to disrupting Rheinland logistics, there should be no issue in an exception for your war supplies or your corporations in general if only our ships could freely trade within Rheinland. Despite our size I can assure you that the current situation will be under control fairly quickly. The Union will be handled. Rheinland could greatly profit from this.

Not only will we patrol the area and protect your convoys from the Unioners and Xenos, but we can help you retrieve valuable hardware within Bering. We leave the Rheinland vessels intact and salvage only what is ours. Many parts are still very functional. I'm sure it will help with your war situation in the Sigmas.

Is Rheinland willing to negotiate and recognize us?

I think you've failed to realise what storm you've created. I don't mind if you've picked the penny on the occasional trader and kept it to yourselves. But a public declaration of tolling is like waving the gun around in front of a police officer and saying you're going to rob people with it. There is a discrete way and an obvious way. Generally in the form of robbery, its the latter that gets attention from law enforcement. But to also remind you that war supplies aren't the only thing we're receiving from liberty, the trade we receive from their house. Liberty corporations currently handle a lot of Rheinlands transportation infrastructure for example: Gate and Lane systems. If those were to come under delays in their maintenance because Libertonian corporations thought it be better to not trade with us due to the expenses they'll need to pay daily, our economics will be hurt, while yours will never even begin. The flow of goods go both ways, thats how functioning economies work.

The reason why the Unioners of the Hudson region have been of little issue for Rheinland, is that they've tended to keep to themselves and aimed their guns towards liberty within those regions until they encroached upon Hamburg and the rest of Rheinlands core systems. Your operations within the independent systems was ignored by the state of Rheinland because your attention was directed at Liberty, giving us no reason to interfere. If you existed like the IMG for example within the Omega regions, having a base of operations without a territorial claim while combating threats such as the Unioners and Xenos? Who knows, maybe you might of gotten a handshake from the state...

My recommendations? Drop your claim on all independent system territories, and drop the public claim of Tolling of ALL shipping. Because this is my final warning, if the Bundestrepublik decide to step in with military action, the Buro-Des-Marinenachrichtendienst will have no choice but to back up the state decision.

It seems we have been a bit... hasty with these regulations. They have been withdrawn and will be reviewed once more.

It is Liberty that is ours and at no point was there any intention to claim or take any territory from Rheinland.

No ships have been tolled since making regulations public either.

Though the Xenos have been less of an issue here we did make a move on the Unioners. With additional support we believe to be able to hold our own against the Unioners even in Bering.

Here is footage taken by the Harmony, showing our attack on one of their installations.

We hope to continue our fight against Liberty and to keep the Independent Worlds safe.
