The Writers behind Freelancer

I recently found this link on the wiki: http://www.7crows.com/archives/2003/01/entry_30.html . It goes to the blog of a Chris Todd, one of the writers behind freelancer. Not only does he provide the Liberty House and Nomad backgrounds but he speaks of "a voluminous amount of backstory for just about every aspect of the game" . I was wondering if anyone may have tried to contact him on behalf of our community to gain access to any of this material?

EDIT: I just found it on the forums to, when i first saw this post I figured it was player created so I didn't look at it right away and promptly forgot about it.

It is an interesting subject, and if someone was able to snag design docs of the complexity we currently have for Liberty it would be a rather splendid boon.

The volumouse backstory he is probably refering to is the fact that every faction has a history, motive the works.

Most of that stuff is ingame, hidden amongst infocards and bar NPCs.

one has to be patient and needs to be able to fill in the gaps...

talking to Bar NPC's infocards and and checking ingame news bulletins if your starting an NPC based faction is really the way to go....

Or, if you want to get information about a faction before letting your character join, you can use the FL ID Referer and Viewer in order to read through the infocards, bar talks and rumours.

There's a program that lets you read through rumors? I was just about to try to start a project to catalogue every rumour in the game.

EDIT: Google failed me, so I guess I'm back to cataloguing all of the rumours.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Based of the fact he wrote extensive back stories for every planet and the two documents that are available on his site I would suspect there was a lot more that digital anvil simply discarded.

And if no one else is going to I'll send him an e-mail cause I wanna know.
