Comrade Frei,

Coalition's relations with the Union have not been stable: the syndicalism of the Union is a great concern for every faction we have encountered so far. While ex-LWB members have our full support, the other cells are ideologically distant both from us and our other allies in Rheinland, like DWR and RHA. In view of this, the diplomacy of the Alster Union is unpredictable. These factors dictate that we should preserve caution with regard to serious lasting agreements, like research agreements, with the Union, albeit our comrades in the LWB. I hope you understand our concerns.

However, the relations still can be developed on the basis of cooperation and trust earned and manifested in mutual endeavours. We are ready to unilaterally provide assistance regarding the atmospheric filters as a token of our benevolent intentions. It should also be noted that Coalition's Jump Drive technology is not yet refined enough, neither has it passed the field tests. The Jump drives in employ of SCEC were procured from the third party.

Availing the opportunity, I should also sound our lasting interest with the Union: aside from strengthening the noose around Rheinland's neck, we are interested in "Bismarck" blueprints. We have a plan of building a strategic railgun that requires a big platform to shoot. We believe, that Rheinland "Bismarck" class battleship with some modifications can serve as the mobile platform for it. We do not expect you to provide the blueprints right off the bat, we are informing what is SCEC's core interest in what the Union currently possesses.

So, in puncts:

1. Air filters. Right now we don't invented anything better than standard proven closed cycle, when the carbon dioxide filtered out from air mass, then processed through Sabatier reactor with next addition of regenerated by electrolysis oxygen back in the system.

Although, xenobiotic filters can make filtration from toxic components and waste recycling more efficient, and Planetform were so nice to put all needed components for filters reproduction right in their construction. We guess they use original bacterial colonies and call it "patented enzyme production". Now our scientists try to develop synthetic enzyme production line. Will it be efficient - time will show. Nanobots factories shows good results, dont see why this one can be problem. But this is still on development stage.

And well, we always can just isolate dangerous waste and drop it in space, where it will decay under sun radiation, and then will be collected back.

About your cause, SCEC's Secretariat of Science advise exhaust used air on Pacifica into space, and pump fresh O₂-N₂ mixture in vent system. Also manufacture lines better lock out from went system and work in gas mask, leaving vent systems filtres, CO₂ regeneration cells and fresh breath mixture for living quarters only.
2. Muon plasma projection. While SCEC Secretariat of Science considers that experiments with producing of high-density electron-positron plasmas is perspective, Volgograd Industry have limited experience with side-technologies, needed for wide-implementation of mass-based projectiles accelerator, because our weapon main line maintain tachyon's emitters.
3. Jump Drive technology and cryocoolant unit. As was said, we dont have our own, because all GEM-related technologies require wide applications of room-temperature superconductive magnets, which produced from exotic materials, which dont form natural deposites in our zone of influence.

3. Right now we dont have technologies or products, which can significantly help to Union in requested firstly areas, details were described above. In this cause, SCEC could've only make analysis of current capabilities of Syndicliga, and give consultation about further research directions.

We wouldn't be the Sirius Coalition if we don't believe in challenges too. But we have our men who believe in us, and we will not challenge more than can carry out. I will return to this topic later, consideration of Pacifica's vital problems and proposals first.

Yes, producing deuterium and high-concentrated heavy water by electrolysis is main industrial process, because most part of deuterium hypothetically was formed in the universe's formation stage. So "sifting" water from D₂O is most feasible and common solution. Method of "sifting" don't matter much when you havent constant water source. One D atom on six thousands or on ten thousands H atoms isnt problem if you have nill.

Well, if you ask, can humanity become godlike, and reach powers of creating? I guess it possible, we can try recreate pp-nucleosynthesis, going inside stars. It will give tool, allowing convert all H into D. This require development from flat ground, because stellar processes dont caused interest of industry, due small energy exhaust, and have many underwater rocks, like shifting nuclear reactions probabilities in way encouraging pp synthesis and only it. Yes, this is indeed challenge. Challenge for some years of hard work and big fundings. Peoples Republic dont ready starve for challenges like that, while we can just scan which one m³ of ice nebula have bigger concentration of D₂O.
