Greetings,
I will jump right to the point The Congress and Doe Industries, a subsidiary of Deep Space Engineering, will be investing in the colonization effort of planet Rugen in the Omega-55 system. We are requesting your aid in security of the construction site for a docking ring as well as a Orbital Mooring Platform. Obviously, this will not be free, or cheap, so name your price. With any luck this endeavor will turn a hefty profit for all involved. Below you will find a documentation of a planetary survey from the IMG regarding what we are looking to extract from the surface.
Planet Rugen
DIAMETER: 9,145 km.
MASS: 5.05 x 10e24 kg.
TERRAIN: Desert
TEMPERATURE: 18°C to 52°C
ESCAPE VELOCITY: 9.1 km/sec
An arid desert world, Rugen is located in quite an unfortunate place in the contested system of Omega-55. Even though surveys by the IMG a few years ago showed the planet to have substantial silver and cobalt reserves, the volatile political situation in Omega-55 coupled with the hostile environment on Rugen has not yet incentivized anyone to make an attempt to exploit the planet's resources.
Over the years, Rugen accumulated a mid sized field of debris from the various battles and deconstructed bases within the system. The Junkers of Bornholm now operate in orbit, scouring the field for anything that might prove salvageable even if stripping the planet itself is out of the question.

Good day, Mr. Tiltman, my name is Jessica Scarlet, Guildkeeper of the Core. I've been tasked to handle this exchange, as I am currently deployed in Omega-55, along with a small fleet, purely for reasons involving security, of course. Anyhow, your request seems reasonable given the current circumstances. What we would request in return for providing security would be simple. We want in on the business. You were blunt in your request, I will be blunt in mine as well. We want to chip in on whatever fat payouts are down on this planet. Don't get me wrong, we won't rob you, we just want the raw ( and maybe refined, if we go that far ) resources that you have to offer, for a reasonable price of course. You have to understand, getting resources out here in the wild is different than in house space, but if we can establish secure supply lines, both of our parties will benefit greatly. We would also like to set up a base of operations down on the planet, in a location that will guarantee our privacy. We won't poke our noses in whatever wicked things you choose to do or not do and we would expect the same from you. What say you, Mr. Tiltman?

It's good to make your acquaintance Jessica,
I expected nothing less from any reasonable negotiator. A massive project with loads of riches? You'd be foolish not to get a cut, of-course you can have a section of the planet to do what you will as long as it doesn't stir up any unnecessary drama. In short, I accept your proposal. Trust me when I say I am more then aware of the trouble of getting resources out here as frankly I am the one generally moving them out here. Congress will administer the planet, The Core will be free to move Snub craft and Gunships planet side, however I respectfully request you keep capitals moored at Dagger Outpost. I'd rather not have any incidents among any guests to Planet Rugen.
My offer is this, you get 20% of all extracted resources from the planet as well as a small section on the southern hemisphere it is near a range of extinct volcanoes, should be nice cozy and private, plenty of under ground tunnels and such should minimize construction costs. If this is to your liking then we can move forward, if not toss me a counter offer and lets make this work.

The terms are agreeable, Mr. Tiltman. There's one slight problem, however. If needed, we'll move our capitals in orbit of the planet. It's hard to defend something when you're kept from using your aces, don't you agree? Other than that, you should see the occasional patrol, but we won't mess with your guests. After all, we don't plan to limit your movements within the system, you shouldn't attempt to limit ours. To sum it up, we'll only deploy heavy weapons in high orbit when the situation demands it. Do you agree with those terms and if so, then what is our next step?
The Core would like to know what the status is of you arranging things with your contact. The sooner the better, as it directly pertains to stabilising and securing the system.
On that note, for the time being, The Core has a proposal. We've managed to recover from the damage inflicted to Dagger from the Order attack, however, the Battleship Mars still requires further repair. We'd like to quickly get it back in operation, before moving to back to 55 and placing it in orbit of Rugen to provide security for this project. Currently, it is in a secure location in nav-map grid coordinate F3. All we really need is materials - we can dispatch repair teams to handle the rest. You will be compensated for your efforts.
The list of goods is as follows:
Ablative Armour Plating x 10,000
Iridium x 10,000
Manifolds x 10,000
DT-Fuel x 10,000
We will pay a 2,000 credit bonus for each unit delivered to Mars. Is this acceptable?
First week back in the saddle and this contract comes across my desk at Junker's Town. I figured what the heck I'll do this personally. I hopped in the Clymene and pulled Kat, flying her liner Old Besse, for the assignment. Was supposed to be a routine run. Luck had other plans it would seem. Halfway through our trip we got pulled out of the trade lane Hamburg by what appeared to be Rheinland Naval Cruiser. After a tense verbal exchange, I managed to walk away with my life intact but my cargo hold empty. I have every reason to believe that ship is a member of Das Wilde. Fortunately I was able to pick more up at our outpost in New Berlin. Our scanner technician forgot to record video of the encounter(and has been promptly sacked), however we do have audio and would be more than willing to provide them upon request.
The rest of the trip was uneventful until we came upon the Battleship Mars. More Wilde ships appear and began to attack us. Due to the previous owner of the Clymene actions towards your organization, I was not cleared for landing. So Kat, in Old Besse, pulled double duty. She docked, under fire, with the Battleship and speedunloaded her manifolds, dodging enemy fire again to come back and get myload. We began to returningfire. on the Wilde, clearing them from Core space.
All in all not a bad way to spend my first week back. 7970 Units of manifolds delivered. You'll be hearing more from me on this in the next coming days.
