Greetings Doctor,
It is always a pleasure for me to work with The Republic. Unfortunately, it seems hyperspace nausea is something that can only be truly cured by being exposed to hyperspace jumps. From what I know, it seems that there are some genetic markers that can accurately indicate if a person is predisposed to hyperspace sickness. If you have time, you could check that and see if it's something that was inherited or it was just a one time thing. Ginger tea seems to ameliorate the symptoms, but the results vary from person to person. Oh, and yeah... the taste is unbearable.
While working on the settlements on Borneo, I did hear that back on Yuma the scientists were interested in creating GMO's that could yield more crops and be resilient to various diseases.
It has been some time since my last visit to Yuma, do you think we could set up a meeting and discuss more details?

Hello again,
it would be my pleasure to meet with you on Yuma. I'm not on the planet much myself, but I hear they've made some progress with their seafood and haven't had a chance to try it yet.
But I did have a chance to talk to captain Papadopoulos of the Ashanti about the deliveries to the hospital you were planning on building. I'm afraid the location, if you indeed wish to refurbish the mining station at the far side of Eris, is somewhat far from her usual route. According to the navigation computer the time traveling from Yuma to Freeport 6 would increase by a factor of 2.5 if the Ashanti were to drop off oxygen and water at the hospital instead of the Freeport, meaning that a return price of 270 credits per unit would be required to keep the same credits per time ratio. However, the captain also added that the Yuma-FP6 run is not something the Ashanti would waste time on if it weren't to get reinforced alloy at the Freeport, because shipping a cargo-hold of oxygen doesn't fetch a good price. In order to compensate for the additional time, which would be spent on higher profit trader routes, she said she'd have to ask for 760 per unit for oxygen or water. I'm afraid she was quite adamant about it. Have you considered moving the station to a location closer to the Coronado-Tau 29 route?
Oh and... about the nausea, it appears to be getting worse with every jump. It's accompanied by states of... how to describe it? Confusion. About the physical universe. They also increase in frequency. I'll just have to refrain from jumping for a while. Luckily, I'm quite stationarry at Sabah Research Center which is near Yuma at the moment, so I won't have to spoil my apetite when we meet on Yuma. How about tomorrow for lunch? That should leave enough time before Gol... erm... before erm... dinner.

Greetings Doctor,
I am on my way to Yuma, and should arrive in about 15 hours.
I do apologize for the late response, we encountered some issues with the systems aboard the base. These pesky electronics fail one after the other, but, alas there is no such thing as a free meal in Sirius.
Regarding your idea of moving the base, I must say that it does sound interesting. I will most certainly look into that possibility.
