Sir.
I am contacting you from Providence Station in Edinburgh. Before you begin to chastise me for not being at my post in Newcastle, I have something of interest in my possession. A capital class vessel. An Osiris.
A very old model. This specific Osiris is not affiliated to any organization. Well, not in the present. In the past, it belonged to terrorists that plagued the sector, and.. the Reavers. The internal records show it was first activated thirteen years ago. It was in the hands of the so called terrorists for many years and in the Reavers hands, later on for over an year, before being deactivated.
It is mostly automated, but several systems are still outdated with a mix-match of armor plating and the internal hull is scarred where sections were blown up and repaired.
The name in outer hull and what it emits as identification is Hellbound. I will tell you everything I managed to gather later on, if you allow it.
I was able to track it down and found it, here in Edinburgh. I hired a small team of technicians that I trust, and while they managed to get it back online from where it was resting and flying towards Providence, it severely lacks repairs and refit on a shipyard berth.
I do have ideas in what to do with this old and bloody war vessel. But all of them must and will be run through you. For all of my ideas do have the ultimate aim of using it to defend Bretonia. A fitting mission to balance out the years of destruction it sowed upon Sirius.

You're always good for a surprise aren't you?
I will spare us from mentioning once more that you are to not leave your command for too long, your troops may forget what you look like, and come straight to the point.
What exactly do you need to make this ship operational again? I am not generally fond of the idea to employ warships with hardly known tech but in the current time anything able to deliver some firepower will do.
But to make this clear, we will need to take the cost in account as well. If the project does not seem to be worth the effort I can not grant further work on it. The highest importance lies with using our dwindling resources with care as you well know.

Sir.
My men know me very well. I train them in person and I demand their sweat, tears and blood for our House. We can never have less than that. And I do know very well that my methods garnered me quite the.. coloquial nickname in their midst. But you are correct, as always, and I do apologize.
My reasoning for this is the same as yours. We need all the firepower we can muster and I knew that this war vessel was collecting dust somewhere, waiting to be reclaimed. I know a specialist that knows how to work in older models of the 'Osiris', and while he is currently in Liberty due to another project, I can make the necessary arrangements for him to come to Bretonia within a fortnight. His assessment of the status of the vessel is vital to understand if the cost to repair and refit is low enough to justify it.
All I need is your permission to moor it with Southampton, so that the assessment can begin. If its viability is proven, it is another capital class vessel added to our roster. If not, we can scrap it for parts and systems. In every case, Bretonia gains something out of this.

You'll get a drydock on Southampton, but this can take no longer than two weeks. You know as well as I do that the scedule on repairs already is very tight.
Contact your expert, the Armed Forces will cover the bill as long as it stays within reasonable bounds. Even if we just scrap the ship we might find a few components useful for the future.
I really hope you know what you're doing with this. I can not afford to loose you to whatever kind of trap might be built into that old husk. Take care.

Understood, Sir.
The Hellbound is now limping on course to New London. A small S&R wing has arrived and it is providing cover. I will contact the specialist and request his presence with urgency. I just hope that somehow this machine will still be able to sow and reap chaos like it used to do. But this time on the Gauls.
Thank you, Jacob.

Sir.
The Hellbound is now space worthy and has cleared the obligatory month-long test routines. There is an issue with the adaptation to the bretonian engine which in turn results in a higher power core draw, but after running the numbers through Hall, he guaranteed me that it is viable in a hit-and-run scenario.
I leave the particulars of how it is applied to the home theater to you and the heavy asset deployment board. The restoration project budget was followed to the letter and it was delivered on time. And so, it is official, the command of it has officially left the Southampton CAEE and has been delivered to the Armed Forces, sir.
Captain Richard Alby and a skeleton crew were the ones that flew it in the past month, and they now stand ready to follow orders. I am also relinquishing command of the project as it was finished.
She's yours to command, sir.

Excellent work, compliments to your team. I did not really believe the ship could be space worthy again without a complete overhaul. I suppose the powercore problems are just a minor issue compared to the feat of getting the ship running in the first place.
I am very pleased with your performance in the last months. Once your scedule allows for a leave of a day or two I would like to meet you on Fort Winchester, we need to discuss about a future project the ministry of defence is planning, specifically your role in it.

Understood, sir.
There are two new squads arriving to the Ark in the next week, so I have up until this next Monday a somewhat clear schedule, apart standard patrols, personnel review and Board meetings.
I will proceed this next Saturday to Fort Winchester for such meeting, as you requested.

I am glad we can do this timely, the ministry might give the go any day now. Once you arrive head for hangar 4, we will meet in its operation command center.
