'Help if you can' has a lot of leeway. But if you're in a trader and your friend is getting ganked by three pirate bombers, how much help are you realistically going to be able to give?
How much is the fee for escorts? And why have you used the 'read the forum' smiley? which forum? do you have another message dump? What is the advantage of joining your clan? An indy has to hire mercs, your guys have to hire the people in your own clan (!).
'Revenge is good' Nope. It's not. Not getting pirated in the first place is good. Revenge often leads to sanction reports.
A trader faction with it's own defense wing. Good idea. But we've no idea who you are from this post. Are you lawful or unlawful? From the actions of one of your players on the list, i'm guessing unlawful, especially as he/she is KOS in bretonia, apparently.

OR: join an established clan, see the diplomacy, see how it works, avoid more of your players getting sanctioned, and in six months time, go for it again.

And indeed, reading what you've posted doesn't really provide any insight into who you are/what you do.
I hoped that I could set up a unoffical factions of traders/mercs where it was like truckers. they all have CB radios telling each other about smokey ect.
that plus set up new players with trade routes to run and have big convoys so that earns more money for pirates if they halt a big group instead of 1 transport and you get a bit more of a chance to run away if your a trader.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.
