You might remember me, we've met yesterday, in space above Pacifica. Before, well... you took up a fight with a Reaver.
I assume there's little use of questioning mercenaries and Union's opponents for a clear, not biased point of view on how the conflict erupted, but, perhaps, you would provide me with it? I am yearning to know which failure to replicate a human being have turned my safe haven into a kind of mess roamed by treehuggers and all kinds of mercenaries?...
If you want to discuss this on a personal meeting - i am all open for it, and will grant you a free spot on Sparta's decks.
From: Hunter Wolff, on assignment at Pacifica Base, Bering System To: Aoi Oono Subject: The conflicts in Bering Encryption: Heavy
Dear Ms. Oono:
I am Hunter Wolff, and I fly the fighter code named Mecklenburg. It was I that you spoke to yesterday, and it was a pleasure to meet you.
I have to say, I appreciate your sense of humor and understanding in this case. Although I'd much preferred to have continued our conversation rather than deal with the mercenary, it was clear he wasn't going to give me much choice. After abandoning my ship and being rescued by Pacifica, I had to spend a couple hours in the infirmary, but I've recovered. No scars this time. I've gotten some rather gnarly ones in the past, from the same mercenary. Apparently, we Alster Union members are worth a lot of money to him.
I wish I could guarantee you an unbiased view of what is going on in Bering, mi'lady, but I cannot. My perspective comes is that of a junior combat pilot who's overhead a few high level meetings. I was only recently assigned as a pilot, and was not around for the beginning of this conflict. That being said, my information is from very high-level sources, and I do not believe it to be confidential. Even if I did, you seem to have genuine care and concern for Bering and its people, which includes the Alster Union.
I believe information is power, and if you have the power - or even just the desire - to help make a difference and end this conflict, to help save lives, then assisting you will be worth it. I'd be happy to land aboard the Sparta at your convenience and meet, if you prefer not to communicate over open channels. There's a...lot of information floating around. I will tell you what I know, and perhaps you can guide me on some way to influence Union command to end this conflict. I'm tired of watching my brethren die for nothing. If I don't have the information you want, I will help you find it and confirm it.
