COMM-ID: Eliza Valdez Subject: The Gaians and the Order Priority: Medium
Buenos dias, Bretonians,
After solving certain internal issues and differences the Legión Maltesa has returned back in force. As such we're looking to reestablish our friendly relations with the Kingdom of Bretonia and Her Majesty's Armed Forces. But to be more precise I am contacting you about a matter which you might find of interest. Our allies in the Serenissima spotted Gaians deep in the Sigmas a couple of days back. Once questioned the Gaian terrorists claimed to be in league with the Order as seen by the logs attached to this message. The Maltese pilots managed to destroy one of the Gaian vessels but the other one had managed to escape.
The Order has declared war against the Maltese Nación and we expect that their forces would look for the help of any and all allies that they may have within the various Houses of Sirius. The Legión is still looking to assist the Kingdom of Bretonia against our mutual enemies in the face of Gallia, the Corsairs or any other organisation that threatens our two nations. If Bretonia is willing to share information on the Order's activities within it's sphere of influence, this would be very beneficial to assessing our future moves against them inside the Omicrons and in Sirian space.

Good evening, Colonel Valdez.
It is good to know that the Légion Maltesa is back in force and with you at the helm, I suspect? I was afraid that our last encounter that ended with Ms. Loyola being forcefully expeled from her aircraft, due to our.. scuffle, would sour our relations but I am happy to see that it did not come to pass.
We have received some reports mentioning Serenissima, but there is little to no information available regarding them. Are they a new player in the scope of your Nacion politics? The latest report mentions usage of capital assets, heavily modified Outcast ones at that, something far different that I remember the Légion employing in battle.
Regarding Order, we have had little to no interaction with them. The latest one involved two capital class vessels that thought it would be funny to cross Bretonia without asking and it ended with their empty husks floating towards the sun in Tau-31. I am attaching the combat report of that event to this link. Since then, zero contacts or communications. But the intelligence you have brought to our eyes is of note, worry not. I am certain there are some people keenly interested in this.
We also thank you for your offer for support and extend the same towards the Légion. However, we cannot assist you in a combat capability in the Taus as I would like. But there are another ways to support the Légion, I think. Do you have any ideas?
With regards,
Kaze Nelson Reidman Dagon

Buenos dias, Commodore Reidman,
If we are to wage this offensive war against the Order on our own we would need to strengthen our supply lines to the FOB's that the legionnaires will use for R&R. This would be a logistical challenge, especially with the Legión's lack of cargo vessels. Contracting outsiders to supply our war campaign would be risky, especially with the Order's connections with most groups operating in the Omicrons.
I am unaware of the state of Her Majesty's trade fleet but if Bretonia could provide the Legión with vessels of the B-40-E "Percheron" or B-27-E "Clydesdale" class our logistic difficulties would be lessened considerably. At least that is the most urgent necessity that comes to mind. Do let me know if such a thing would be possible. We would of course gladly accept other freight models.

Good day, Colonel Valdez.
After discussing your request with the Admiralty Board, we are capable and willing to release some of our logistical vessels from the Merchant Navy, as we do have more ships than certified pilots. They will however be marked as destroyed and their related construction information and ID purged for security reasons. We can release three B-40-E's and two B-27-E's.
In return however, as mentioned before, we are short in certified pilots and that means we are not receiving the allotted materials that those ships could deliver. If you deliver us these, consider this exchange a done deal.
Upon your acceptance, I will issue the order to start the process of scrubbing the information about the ships and release them unto the Légion.
There is another matter, but not related to this situation. Yesterday I shot down an Oracle, that stated it had 'business to conduct in New London'. While I do know what they are, for the sake of having another source of information before the bureaucrats start clamoring, can you provide an in-depth analysis on the Oracles?

Mr. Stenn.
While I should look surprised, I am not. Thank you for the speedy delivery and the added bonus. I will make sure the Toys & Games receive it. I would imagine you are under a contract with the Légion, but having someone of your caliber pushing cargo from A to B for financial compensation.. Hm.
Meanwhile, I already ordered the transports to be put aside and cleaned. You will find them within the next six standard hours moored to the Ark Royal in Newcastle.
I would still enjoy that information regarding the Oracles.

Commodore,
Not all targets are found in space. Sometimes you need to get creative with entry methods. I have little information to about the Oracles, except that I once convinced one into parting with a pair of nomad torpedoes. They're cultists, and as far as I've interacted with them, shot on sight.

Mr. Stenn.
Unlawful contracts are frowned upon in Bretonia, and you know that. Also inflated egos and hubris do make you a bigger target. But I have more pressing concerns than.. Hm.

Mr. Jonathan Stevner. I see. I do detest corrupt paper pushers that freelance as molesters. Even if they are Bretonians. And since I am not the Police Authority, it is not my area of action. Do what you must. Painfully if you can.

As for the Oracle information, I know that Malta knows them very well, and so I will wait for Colonel Valdez's reply to conclude this particular exchange.

Buenas noches, Commodore Reidman,
I see you already got acquainted with Nick. He is very good at getting things done as you see. Bretonia should really consider employing his services, I'm sure such an exchange would leave both sides pleased.
But enough advertising. You want to know more about the Oracles? They're fanatic worshipers of the alien lifeforms that we share Sirius with. They see them as higher beings, as divine light. As such they act as emissaries and try to convert humanity to serve under their blue overlords. Is it stupidity, lust for power or something else I do not know. Frankly I don't care - regardless of their reason behind it they are a cancer to our Nación, feasting upon the superstitious amidst our people for their own benefit.
Regardless of their honeyed words they were once caught with a stolen ship from Malta which lead to their exile. Alas said exile seems to have ended as quite recently I encountered one of them in our dear homeworld. You've done well to cull their plague.
P.S. I've attached a little present from me as well.

Good evening, Colonel Valdez.
I do know Mr. Stenn from previous businesses, and your advice is noted. But constant front-line combat is not the field where men like him do their best work and that is the need of Bretonia these days.
Thank you for your words regarding the Oracles, Colonel Valdez. I am certain it will put at ease the bureaucrats. One does hope. Your ships are prepared and waiting at the Ark Royal. If you so need, the Bretonian Armed Forces are a comm away, Colonel, and our relation was always very agreeable so do consider us a friendly ear in the future.
Mr. Stenn, a pleasure once again.
