I was just near Crete with about two other Corsairs. The one stated that passengers are illegal to be transported to crete, then the trader after he docked(cargo hold empty) and started to head for kappa and the guy chased, and killed him. So, being a bit new to the corsairs, I want to know if passengers are illegal for transport there, and what other rules apply to crete

crete is a starving planet, a barren world which cannot even produce enough food/sustenance for it's own population. Corsairs are constantly having to get food imported, and they never have enough.

Now, if you were a starving pirate living on one of sirius' most inhospitable planets, would you want someone strolling out to that planet with 5000 more humans to strain the food reserves? I think not.

Ok, the ban on passengers was started long ago, by the Brotherhood who was the only Corsair faction. The reasoning behind the ban is that the Corsairs dont have enough food to feed their own people, why would they allow more mouths to feed? This policy has been around so long at this point that it has been accepted by all the factions and indy's on the server as a Corsair national policy.

And bringing Food to Crete is a great thing to do.

Couldn't agree more.

The best advice I can give in such confusions is to use common sense, empathy with the RP characters, and just trust your instincts. If your told about something, such as this, and it makes RP sense, it's probably right.
I first suggested this policy 2 years ago, so you can blame me, or alternatively Zelot, who takes the blame for everything anyway.:P

It's true. And the common sense thing too. If it makes logical rp sense, it is worth following.

Just read the statement of Laowai. Very informative.

BTW last weekend I had 2 encounters bringing Synthetic Marijuana to Omicron on a Zoner trader:

1st encounter with Benitez(s), I was requested donation of 2 million.
2nd encounter with OPG & Blood Dragons, I think in Tohoku system, I was asked to drop the cargo and 4mill fine. I did not have much time to answer, I was shot practically after 30 sec.

I do not have prove of the incidents, I do not remember names, and this is not the point of this message.
Just want to know once in for all if the traffic of Synthetic Marijuana to Omicrons is allowed or Not by Corsairs and OPG's and what kind of taxes are we Zoners to expect.

If the traffic is not allowed or if taxes are to be too high, you will have to get your marijuana by yourselves......

Cheers

As far as the Corsairs are concerned, we have no problems with Synthetic Marijuana. There's no legislation demanding that we inhibit the trade of Synthetic Marijuana but the decision as to weather or not to tax it, or steal it from traders lies with the individual pirate.
