Bonjour Général.
I feel like we should have met a long time ago. I suppose we both had pressing matters preventing us from doing so.
I come to you as word of the battle for Provence has come to my ears. Its outcome has left me with nothing but concern.
As war rages across multiple fronts, in and out of our Kingdom, I am afraid to see Provence fall into chaos and become an unsanctioned breeding ground for criminals. After this battle, it is clear to me neither the Council or the Royal Navy will have the means to keep the system in check.
To my knowledge you already have your fair share of problems, and us on the Bretonian front will not be able to provide you with reinforcements in the immediate future. So may I inquire as to what you plan to do to keep the civilians safe? Because as you've just kicked the hornet nest, the Royal Navy is certainly not going to make Provence its top priority.
Avec l'expression de mes plus sincères salutations,
Alice DeFrance

I have to admit it has indeed struck me as a surprise to find you contacting me now, after all these years. This occasion adds more to the plenty of questions i've always wanted but had no chance to ask.
As for your immediate queries, you do not need to worry about Provence. We've struck hard on the local forces of the Gallic Royal Navy, et intend to keep fighting on until the system is secured. Perhaps you are right, et the Royal Navy is keen to abandon the system, but that's not true for us. We have our obligations et responsibilities, et we are well aware of them. Besides, GRN pulling back will just make our job easier.
I'm certain there are several other things we need to discuss, because of that I propose a meeting in person, somewhere outside, but near the conflict zones of the civil war. It would be good to know your approximate location in order to find a meeting location most suitable for the both of us, should you agree.
Sincèrement,
Général Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil
