I don't mean to be rude, but basic 101 event administration is to check if the other faction will act that way before pigeon-holing them into that role.
THE SYNDIC LEAGUES

Well, this is just supposed to be some fun event between the holidays with a RP context and finally have a pewpew event that involves Zoner.
The resume of the comments regarding the annexion is pretty weird to be honest.
Recalling the comments.
- Bretonia annexes Omega-49 without doing anything ingame - check
- Bretonia let every unregistered transports leave the planet - check
This is to be honest the strangest annexation then.
The only role that BAF would have in this event is to check for the unregistered refugee transport. There isn't any word what they will or should do, except not interfecting with the transport till the other side is dead. The active part of this event are the Zoner security forces, who are defending the Zoner integrity (attacking the incoming BAF vessels).
However regarding the comment of @Thunderer, there seems to be again a solid portion of ooRP coming into the whole Omega-49 thing. Sad...
Oh my, it's like the whole community has accepted this Omega-49 thing and Kaze finally has released his dreams about being an oberfuhrer and making a holocaust against Corsairs (sorry, just kidding <3), but when the real player-driven event has appeared - everyone finds it senseless and probably it is, as no Zoner has opened fire against Bretonia or vice-verca. You either support and accept what storydevs have brought to you or you don't and resist.
Instead of fingerpointing, you could just have added Corsairs instead of Zoners with the premise of allowing Zoners on both sides as that allows both sides of the spectrum to partake. Don't pretend all Zoners are against Bretonia. Corsairs have pirated Zoners for many years.
The BAF| have orders not to enter the system yet because treaties are being made with other factions. There is no, as far as I am aware, ooRP drama, at least on the Bretonian side.
The premise presented in this event is that Bretonia is going to shoot an unregistered evacuation fleet (???) even when it was stated that evacuation efforts wouldn't be impaired.
That's the issue here.
Also, regarding the admin event, we aren't moving into O-49 yet because we don't have clear guidelines from our 1ic or 2ic, that are off due to vacations, in what to do with the multitude of factions that may and most certainly be present when BAF makes their presence in O49 noted at this time.
There are ongoing talks with factions that will show up in O-49, that the present BAF HC aren't privy to, and thus, not to screw the proverbial diplomatic pooch here and not to step over our faction leaders, we are focusing our action at the moment in New London.
When @Gagadug or @Victor Steiner tell us to go forth and shoot X and Y but deal with Z in the T fashion, you can very well bet that we will be in O-49 doing just that.
Gods knows that the BAF| chat is akin to go, so yeah, no drama there.
Also, if people want to fly their indies in there, they can. FR2 anyone?

What does this mean? The invasion force didn't invade Omega-49 or were the soldiers retreated to New London? Then sorry, this we haven't noticed, May elaborate the situation for us.

I'm not fingerpointing. I do not have any information regarding Thunderers comment, nor noticing any RP done defining the BAF staying away from Omega-49. Therefore I considered it an ooRP decision at this point.
With this a resistance forces should be introduced, therefore only Zoners vs. BAF. May just do an event under your criteria on later stage. Will be a fun, too.
However, keeping it serious "what the Zoners are and their lore", living under a known house, accepting and/or adopting their authority are not an option. In this case Zoners will become common Freelancers and won't be Zoner anymore.
It means that dev work and player work don't have the same clocks. Some people are sometimes pressured by RL, so stuff can't always be finished on time. The mentioned treaties should have been agreed on before the invasion was implemented by the devs, but the players and the devs had different schedules.

And? We just keep going the flow and following the RP. Are we now the ones to blame, if we wanna contribute to the RP environment?
