Esteemed Guildmaster.
I come to you with a very important proposal. I'll keep this brief, but allow me to give you some context. The Custodi, pawns of Crete's political cesspool are assaulting an installation belonging to the Apostatas, in the system of Omicron Theta. I've mobilized several bomber wings to counter heavy asset deployment in the region. I'm pushing the pilots very hard, and the logistics to ensure the Custodi do not obtain a crushing victory over our vested interest here is working my men to the bone. If this continues, our pilots are very likely to be too fatigued to fight effectively. Thus I am forced to come to you with a very urgent and very important proposal that I need a prompt answer to.
Planet Kurile, in the system of Sigma-17 is close enough for us to quickly sortie a wing of Revolutions to cripple any Cretan spearheads. What I'm asking for is allowance from the Guild for us to covertly build and administrate a very small forward operating base in an otherwise ignored section of Kurile's expanse. We will ensure that any assets deploying from and to this base act with extreme discretion to ensure that no P.R stunts are thrown against you. It is unlikely that anyone will keep a close eye on Kurile in its current state, which is why that now and given the current circumstances, it would be an excellent time for us to cooperate with one another and bring the surrounding area under control.
We are prepared to help you repel any Rheinland aggression within the system of Sigma-17, as well as harshly deter smugglers currently abusing the lack of docking facilities. After the dust of this conflict settles, I can send out transports of workers to aid your Guild in repairing assets planet-side. If the Custodi are victorious in Omicron Theta against our allies, then it would only further strain your holdings in Sigma-17.
We can overcome this together Guildmaster, we merely have to be cautious.

The Guild is aware of the plight of the Apostatas and the movements of our shared enemies the Corsairs in Omicron Theta. It is clear that in order to ensure mutual security between GMG, the Apostatas and Sirius Coalition in the area that closer cooperation is vital.
Unfortunately, your request is one that we are not be able to meet. The docking ring and mooring fixture in orbit of Planet Kurile suffered critical damage in the midst of a clash with with Samura Heavy Industries and their lackeys, and are entirely inoperable.
As a result, access to the planet is limited. GMG is currently attempting to restore functionality to these important devices and is expected works will begin soon, which itself presents an issue. The paramilitary is currently engaged with meeting the Rheinland Military's ongoing invasion of the Sigma systems, and consequently ensuring the security of the Kurile project, which would ordinarily be a simple matter, is a precarious balancing act. It is therefore most vital that as little attention as possible be brought to the planet in order to ensure a successful undertaking with minimal disruption. Unfortunately, Coalition squadrons basing from the planet would surely draw many prying eyes to the Kunashir Cloud.
This, however, does not help any of us with the ongoing situation in Omicron Theta, on which The Guild is fully prepared to collaborate. The Gas Miner Ogashawa in Sigma-19 is able and prepared to house a number of your snubcraft and provide the appropriate repair and supply facilities on board to support sorties into Omicron Theta against the Corsair menace. This may not be a perfectly ideal arrangement but if this is one that would aid your operations then it is one GMG would be glad to offer.

Esteemed Guildmaster.
I appreciate your compromise and understand just how difficult this political landscape must be for the Guild to navigate. You're right, this is not an ideal arrangement, but it is marginally better than the haphazard deployments I can currently organize from our nearest facility. The only problem with this compromise of yours is the influx of traffic from the Honshu jump-gate, connected to the Gas Miner by a trade lane. All it would take is a single cargo captain motivated by a substantial enough pay-out to do significant diplomatic damage. Which was why I suggested Kurile given its relatively isolated nature and closeness to the current skirmish.
I can only urge you to reconsider, as I feel basing our bombers out of Sigma-17 would lessen response times, but also lessen potential exposure. The sight of our ships and their proud banners is rarely overlooked so easily. The lack of trade-lanes in Sigma-17 and obscurity provided by the cloud would allow my men to deploy without detection. I am certain our light-assets could easily bypass the lack of a docking ring and brave atmospheric entry. The only substantial issue would be the jump connection to Sigma-21, but again the lack of tradelanes means that the journey of any Rheinland Military scout wings will take at least a day to arrive at its destination in the Kunashir cloud.
From one tactician to another, Sigma-17 is not only the more effective option, but also the safer option. Should you choose to still ask us to base off of Gas Miner Ogashawa, then as a friend I will respect your decision and have it complied with by our pilots. All I ask is that you give my proposal consideration once more, keeping what I've just stated in mind.
