Void Faes
What's the Big Deal, Anyways?

A couple of aspects of this group are difficult to properly discuss without giving too much away, so we will do our best to explain here. This page will be updated to improve answers and add questions.

I. What makes your faction unique from others of its kind?

At the time of this group’s founding, the only other extant Wild faction was Aoi Iseijin. Though their RP and PvP activities is quite respectable in its own right, we felt that they did not provide the type of Infected roleplay that some individuals were looking for (though through no fault of their own). Instead, the Void Faes places far more emphasis on maintaining covert and deep infiltration of human communities, as well as acting on behalf of the Nomad Vagrants rather than the K’Hara due to the source of their infection.

II. Is this a PvP or RP heavy faction?

Both, though our focus leans towards detailed roleplay and storywriting more than anything, we would also be happy to provide with any PvP possibilites.

III. What's the ID? Or the IFF?

As of July, 2021, The Void Faes have became the Official Wild Faction. Similar to how Aoi were, we're bolstering hybrid nomad tech and house military ships under the Unknown IFF, but those are used exclusively for combat purposes and nothing more. Most of the time, we're using Freelancer ID and IFF, and all the benefits that come with it.

IV. How do I get in on this action?

To join the faction, you need to already have an existing character with some RP behind it. A resume of forum RP is highly recommended. When interest has been established in having a character infected, we will begin keeping a close eye on you and your character’s behavior, roleplaying without giving away identities or plans freely. The character will gradually be subverted to sympathy for the Nomad cause through a variety of methods and will be infected when the time is right. The infection will occur in a forum RP thread.

Alternatively, the Vagrant method of infection is another way of gaining admission.

V. So, what are you looking for in prospective members?

Out of roleplay, we expect an excellent standard of roleplay and maturity on the part of our members. That means creating well-thought out, meaningful RP encounters executed with good English, enjoyable for all participants. A degree of competency in PvP is also useful, in the event of cover being broken. Complete knowledge and understanding of The Nomad Lore is also imperative. Additionally, we would require for each of your -[Fae tagged ships to have at least 3 hours per quarter on the activity tracker.

As for what makes a character more desirable? The Void Faes do not infect any random passerby off the street. An individual must possess some advantage or ability that enables advancement of Nomad goals to become easier. Influence within House space, rank in a military or corporation, excellent physical condition, access to rare skills and equipment… several factors may make a potential host a more fitting target. The greater an asset an individual is, the more likely they are to be considered.

VI. Are you replacing any older Wild groups?

Since Aoi Iseijin has become defunct, we're providing opportunities for infectee roleplay in some of the regions they once controlled - mainly, Gallia and Rheinland. We would also welcome any former Aoi members who desire to continue their roleplay.

VII. Do you have a ZoI or any stated goals?

Nothing publicly stated, though we do tend to align with the goals of the Vagrants more often than not.

VIII. How is your relationship with the K'Hara? How do you act when interacting with them?

The K'Hara and Vagrants exist in a state of a Cold War, and in order to retain our success, The Void Faes have adapted a strategy of avoiding any confrontation or interaction with their kin from the Omicrons.

But, there are two ways to act when an interaction or a confrontation with a K'Hara or their infectee is inevitable.

1) A -[Fae tagged ship that is undercover - meaning, they're not equipped with the Void Fae ID, are not flying under Unknown IFF and have no Hybrid/Nomad tech installed - will act as they always would in human character, even if it means engaging in combat. Attempting to "reach out" to them via incubi telepathy is considered as a lame move, and is thus a big taboo.

2) A -[Fae tagged ship that is on the hunt - meaning, they are equipped with a Void Fae ID, are flying under the Unknown IFF and have any kind of Hybrid/Nomad tech installed - is free to assist K'Hara and their infectees in combat. In case if a K'Hara or their infectee approach the hunter with an aggressive intent, they will maintain radio silence until the opponent decides to engage in combat or vacate the area. Same as it was mentioned above, attempting to "reach out" is unallowed.

IX. Well, okay. I want to see you guys out in space! How can I get in touch with you for some interaction?

You may PM the Void Faes forum account if you’d like to set up some roleplay, or get in touch with one of the characters inRP if you manage to identify them. We highly recommend going through inRP channels as much as possible.

X. Wait, I still had another question! Who can I ask about it?

Any further questions may be sent via private message to the Void Faes forum account. Additionally, you could contact us via discord.
