Dear C, Josh.

Regarding our conversation just now, I wanted to formally write you a secure email that can give you details of what Velvet is about.

We are predominantly an on call defence force for the Zoner Freeports. Our main focus is when there is a Nomad threat, we can respond to it, allowing people who are aboard the station maximum peace of mind. We area not there to enforce rules, under any circumstances. That is not our role.

We will also be capable, eventually once we have official permission from Saskia, to conduct scouting missions as well as assist other Freeports with their security, should they need it. Currently, we are relatively exclusive to Freeport 11, but that doesn't mean we don't assist the others.

Our main objectives:
1: A Rapid Reaction Force in the case of a Nomad assault on the Freeports
2: Secure Freeport space from Nomads and their sympathisers, only when we know without any doubt that they are such.
3: Secure the systems in which the Freeports reside, being pro-active in their security.

The only rules that I will request, is that no one has a name when they are operating under Velvet, and that they familiarise themselves with the Freeport Laws. I cannot emphasise enough that we do not use names, and we do not over step our bounds.

The naming scheme for the ships that I have given you funding for will be designated as Velvet|"Colour".
