The Spezialoperationsabteilung has initiated the plan to fully assimilate the entirety of the Dresden area and drastically lower the possibility, as well as the success rate, of any possible counter-attack launched by the Rheinwehr. In order to do so, the decision has been made to disable the artificial connection towards the Rheinland core systems. At precisely 18:00 Standard Sirius Time, the squadron armed with low-yield nuclear electromagnetic warheads has been launched from Vogtland Base and moved towards the gate. They have encountered no resistance and successfully approached the structure, launched the payload and afflicted severe damage to the gate.

Further analysis by the Spezialoperationsabteilung field operatives has shown that there is a high probability of increased Rheinwehr activity in the region, as well as increasing commercial traffic in order to sanitize the damage and return the gate in the operational state. Without it, their chances to regain foothold within the Dresden system is bordering zero.
