REPORT:

Operation: RAGNAROK II details.

ALPHA team is on site on the ground at Tangier, with the arrival of the Alvin Katz we have begun to take steps to ensure the safety of as many critical installations as possible. Given the recent strike on Kassel, the Fes will undoubtely either move towards Omega-49 or move on Tangier. With this in mind, all critical defensive positions are being established until we receive word from the IMG close to Omega-49 that the Fes is on the move elsewhere. All major experimental and military-based facilities as well as the Direktor's HQ have SOA specialists on site. Garrison units from the Army and SOA are arriving at mining facilities. Locations relative to the Direktor's quarters of these facilities will be disclosed by more secure means, as the exteriors of these facilities mimic those of the mining facilities for obvious reasons.

All units will remain within and close to the facility's exterior, the planet's conditions rule out any chance of a major ground assault besides the available time frame between daylight and nightfall. This will make the specifics of their approach predictable, attempts to set up encampments will take days if not weeks provided the Corsairs get that far in the first place. R5-13 hover-tanks are being prepped for neutralizing ground encampments, advise coalition ground armor be employed for the same objective if at all possible. ID on the vessels and specifications can be provided.

Field marshal, the SOA has begun the production of "MONGOOSE" scouting armor utilizing coalition weaponry and hardware provided in the past. If you and any ground units from the Alvin Katz have the intention of supporting the ground defense effort, we will provide coordinates for the scouting bay where the vessels are being prepped to scout for any signs of unusual activity.

Respected Direktor, Agent.

I have deployed a substantial garrison on the Katz, along with whatever personnel could be spared. The entire bomber regiment known as the Night Witches has been assigned to destroy inbound assault craft, as well as anything that can even remotely facilitate boarding actions against either Viernheim or the Katz. They are a numerous volunteer regiment, composed entirely of our young women who would rather kill savages than toil away in a manufactory. While relatively inexperienced, their operational cohesion is second to none. There is no breaking their ranks, let alone their resolve. I've known some of them as being daring enough to manually release payloads if firing mechanisms are jammed. Their Revolutions are outfitted with pure aggression in mind, dual rocket pods and torpedoes. There are few exceptions to this otherwise standard kit. Direct them for air support duties as is necessary.

Forward us the intelligence regarding the remaining installations that either have no deployments or of those that could benefit from our reinforcements. MBTs, marksmen teams, antipersonnel walkers and a few ever so infamous Commissars are at your disposal in the event of planetary siege. In the event that Viernheim is taken, I would advise scorched earth stratagem. The same protocol must be applied to critical installations for reasons that are beyond obvious. If we fail to keep successful containment, then the Omegas are doomed. Scouting operations can commence at your discretion, I have issued a deployment order upon receipt of your communication, simply guide the troops being sent with the coordinates necessary.

For the time being I will serve the defence effort in the void. The environment is on our side and any Corsair deployments will be sandwiched between the wall of fire that is your planetary defence grid, Viernheim and the Alvin Katz's batteries. Attrition for Corsair assault wings will be costly. It remains to be seen how many lives they are willing to sacrifice on what is clearly a gamble.

They seem unable to decide where their focus is best directed. Canaria, the Kassel and Tangier. If they try to win in all these encounters, then they will succeed in none of them. The stakes are equally high for us, and each soldier must now be an army in their own right. And if the enemy is to win, then they will drown in the corpses of their fallen.

Failure is not an option. If orbital superiority is lost, then I will refocus myself on the ground. I am not leaving the area until we either emerge victorious, or the last breath my body is capable of heaving escapes my lungs for the last time. History will remember this stand. And I for one am glad to be fighting back to back with my brethren, even if this might be the last time that I do.

Acknowledged Field Marshal, we will have an orbital defense plan in place shortly. All ground units are in place and R700-Mongoose scouts are now running patrol paths, taking away from the attack on Aland station. All facility-based personnel have been outfitted with protective gear including gas and facial protection administered to SOA operatives. Field Marshal, should you make descent for one of the facilities, you will be provided with such equipment. Fail-safe plans are in motion to use the facilities to our advantage in the remote event it comes to that point.

Direktor, all auxiliary power systems within essential AND non-essential facilities has been re-routed to fortify the shock absorbent hardware. Judging from the attacks on Planet Cork and Jiang Xi, bombing runs may not be out of the question. Facility integrity will suffer as a result but it won't be beyond repair.

I have ordered our men to hold their ground until the bitter end. I will break the advance by driving the Katz into the Fes if I must. The garrison on Viernheim must be ruthlessly efficient, if our wall of fire is breached then maintenance of orbital superiority will become exceedingly difficult. If they wish to die for Imperialism by the hundreds, then so be it. They will all be martyrs of a grand mistake.

My conscience urges me to show at least some mercy, but I know I can't afford to. Escape pods will be incinerated by Kalashnikov bolts. The Commanding Officer of the Fes has proved to be excessively opportunistic. We can use this to our advantage.

Kveðjur.

The Ygdrassil has returned from the assignment in Omega-5 and the situation is following. Our engineering experts have managed to sanitize the damage inflicted to Battleship Kassel in the recent Corsair assault and its moval is imminent. Our operatives have also managed to aid in the retreat of Guild assets into the deeper Omegas. With re-establishment of a stalemate in the Omega-3 and Omega-5, the Spezialoperationsabteilung can now fully invest their efforts into the defence of Omega-47 and our planetary assets on Tangier.

Under the cover of Khemmiset, the Ygdrassil has managed to offload over a hundred of infantry units to Spezialoperationsabteilung headquarters, as well as more than a dozen of our most trained soldiers on Viernheim Base to bolster the first line of defence and aid in the organisation of defensive efforts. Our bomber squadrons, as well as recently acquired Guild assets, are ready to deploy on short notice, while several of our fighter wings have already been sent to scout the area and assess potential threat to the planet. Furthermore, the Ygdrassil itself has been refuelled and repaired and is prepared to enter the combat, should it come to that.
