Agent Omega was watching the Borneo slipping away from them just as the Iapetus activated cruise engines. "Corinth, set course for Makassar Field." Omega ordered to ship's sophisticated computer. The ship's Computer sent it's answer as text to Omega's wristwatch. "Setting course until field's entrance. Navigating the field requires Helm Officer." Omega was frustrated. They went over and over with brightest minds of Yuma University and Sabah Research to improve upon the AI derived of Olympia's one. Omega turned to chief engineer of Iapetus: Adam Bourke. "You have to improve the pathfinding subroutines of Corinth. If it cannot navigate us through asteroid fields, then we can just scrap it as well." Adam pondered. "Maybe we can when you decide to stop by at Sabah. I owe you that much since you rescued me from Olympia, or what is remaining from her. Heard the ones, you know, not became one with asteroids managed to reach shuttles and Nyxes, got away from Omega 3." Omega's wristwatch beeped once again. "Makassar Field reached."
"I better get prepared for this." Omega told Adam. Then he moved to his quarters and donned his personal powersuit. Just as powersuit integration completed, he got a shocking head ache. Screamed and gruntled in pain. Just as his pain ended, he was lost in a flashback of memory...
"Time to say goodbye...to the Home, Michy." a sorrowing, yet hopeful woman voice spoke. Then heard a boy that is no older than 8. "Yes mama. Goodbye Home!"
If anyone could hear, they would hear Omega also saying "Yes mama, goodbye home." in a whisper too...
Canberra Star City, Tau-44, 0630 Crayter Standard Time
Omega got up from his seat as the Celestra landed with a full crew complement and a squad of CIS AITs. Armored and armed to brim, the squad and Omega approached Canberra security and shown their IDs. "Section 6 is offlimits until we are done." Omega instructed the security. "Agent, section 6 is unknown territory. We can not allow you." Omega got angered. "We are CIS. How dare you stand in our way?!" And he ordered AIT to neutralize the security. Before they could inform the rest, there were three dead bodies. "Drag them to shuttle. We can not leave evidence." Omega growled. Then opened the enteance to main complex of Star City and paved their way to Section 6. Natio Octaviarum could not explore all the parts of station and there were sections deemed too dangerous or unpressurized yet to enter. Section 6 was one of those unpressurized sections of the once abandoned vault, now home of Octaviarum.
Omega's team arrived at entrance of Section 6. Before unsealing the door preventing air vent they activated life support systems of their suits. "We have 75 minutes before our life support is depleted. Expect gravity loss. Turn on your magboots." Said Omega and began the unsealing process. He instictively said "Goodbye home." To himself. The door was fully open and the squad entered to Section 6. They found multiple rooms inside, a corridor moving ahead and weird noises. "We will have to split it seems. I will take the corridor. Rest of you pick a room and search the contents."
Omega readied his Purifier Mark IV and moved through the corridor. He noticed the archaic and abandoned nature of it. Old pipes leaking, no proper lighting and he found a room that appeared to be some sort of lab. Tubes, a microscope, some screens that arent working anymore and very similar looking pods.
He gruntled in pain and he had a flash of memory once again...
"Remember, aspiring Marines! You must be prepared to combat in any scenario. This simulation pod you see is one of it's kind. Not that it is rare. But we could only stuff one of those inside for you sixteen year olds. Where we are going... that called 'Sirius' Sector is unknown to us. You must assume the population will be hostile. Their tactics may wary from ours and they may posess unknown technologies to us. However they lack one thing! We are Crayterians and we are always ready! This simpod is to make you always ready. You shall test your mettle against the scourges of Crayter. From shipboard enviroments to moons and planets of various conditions. Michael, you go in first." Lieutenant Commander of Crayter Armed Forces aboard Gemini said. The 16 years old Cadet, Michael Richard saluted his commander and grabbed the simpod's equipment and simpod closed. A robotic announcer announced. "Michael Richard. Planet Moira. Age, 16. Starting Simulation."
Only thanks to repeated beeping of his wristwatch, Omega got back to current reality. "Sir, SIR! Are you alright? We found some big containers here. Codenamed TGDMW5K. Looks like some weapons. What should we do with them?" An AIT troop buzzed at his powersuit. "Get those containers back to shuttle. However I feel like we should investigate some... matters here."
