Bristol was founded after the Separatists gave up Bristol Depot for the finished Marshall Station in Bering in 826AS. Groups of former Separatists, Freelancers and displaced Zoners formed the majority of the cooperative company. Landing lucrative salvaging deals with Liberty and Rheinland as those desired the safe return of technology and remains from the war, the company managed to stay afloat. The station became a small trade hub in the area. When the Separatists finally left and the gate was restored, a proper installation was built near the wreckage of Freeport 2 and the company started growing beyond Bering.
With the Separatists and Insurgency destroyed, Bristol has absorbed some of their former personnel into its engineering, fleet and security companies. It now provides the services of station construction to smaller organisations, manufacturing of small craft, particularly spare parts for Kress ships. As well as mining of Helium and salvaging of various wreckages.
Major Goals/actions include:
• Building up the mining colony on Planet Hallam
• Sourcing a new mining opportunity
• Establishing an Independent World foot hold beyond Bering
• Supporting the LFR and Zoner Militants
Gameplay
Bristol would fall into the quasi-lawful category. They have a zoner pioneer attitude in that they settle in the unregulated independent worlds and maintain fairly open ports. Unlike others they don't smuggle contraband directly though supplying criminals with normal goods would of course still be classed smuggling. As a cooperative company they are still interested in profit but have a fairly protective attitude over their own people and assets. As full employees are share holders in the company they have more identification with it. For that larger corporations would probably mock them and downplay their benefits. they do face opposition in form of pirates and competitors. Their salvaging operations put them at odds with the Junkers as do their construction services to unlawfuls. Bristol's focus is not salvaging though it's usually done out of necessity or to supplement local installations. Their focus is on construction and manufacturing as well as resource extraction.
Bristol's lawful operations include:
• Helium mining in Pennsylvania
• Platinum mining in Galileo
• Earhart mining ops
• Repair ships
• Supply convoys(Once we find a viable route for Helium will recover the Helium convoy events)
• Well paid base constructions and maintenance
• Surveying and explorations
• Building a mining colony on Planet Hallam(Kind of on ice( ) until lore progress happens)
Bristol's unlawful operations include:
• Supplying unlawfuls(Xeno's LFR, LH, OC, Militants)
• Building installations for unlawfuls(Outcasts, Lane Hackers)
• Covertly supporting the LFR and Militants and other forces keeping houses out of the IWs
• Allowing criminals to dock in the IWs akin to Freeports
Bristol has 3 PoBs that members are not expected to supply:
• Arcetri Station - For refining Platinum in Galileo
• Akutan Production Facility - For guns and docking modules in Bering
• Cleveland Station, Pennsylvania - For Helium and Salvage in Pennsylvania
If that's hostile, no-dock, or belligerent, sieges are about to happen. We currently have a serious problem where we don't know what our rep is with the Separatists and it seems to change impulsively.
If not, they won't happen.
