To: The House of Lords, The House of Commons & Office of the Lord Chancellor
Lords and Ladies of the Empire, the University of Cambridge, in accordance with established tradition and Bretonian Law, formally requests that the wreck of the battleship Olympia be declared a war grave, and thus be left in it's current state without any interference from other organisations looking to salvage or otherwise alter the ship from it's present state, except in the cases where the safety of Aland shipyard is concerned.
We believe that the ship ought to remain as it is to serve as a stark reminder of the costs of war and to allow those who died aboard her some type of headstone, to mark their passing. We request that the Bretonian Government, acting on behalf of her Majesty the Queen, define the vessel as a legal war grave, and actively prevent any attempt to destroy, remove or alter the wreck in anyway.

Vice Chancellor of the University: Professor Alfred Steiner,
The issue of military wrecks is a pertinent one now the war has concluded more or less.
Olympia is one of the earlier wrecks, York and Beuvray the earliest. As such, much of the ships valuable components have been stripped, either by the surviving crew and nearby support ships, or by Aland shipyard, or indeed by the elements that the ship has been exposed to.
The ship it would seem is wedged in a way that it proves no issue to the traffic of the highly valuable trade route or the shipyard itself. As such, the government sees no issue in declaring the ship a war grave as per your request.
Best regards,
Benedict Callahan, Secretary to the Cabinet
