Hello Ezrael,
Rebecca Edwards has been in our care for some time now and she has been making considerable progress. She has gotten used to her daily schedule which helps her sleep better and it has also made her physically stronger. Mentally she has been making some progress as well and has been able to make some friends inside the the clinic as well as some from the outside that at times come to visit her. She has also successfully been able to leave the clinic for a day, of course with the help of your robot that she is still calling Jeff.
However, as Jeff is able to monitor her quite well it doesn't seem able to catch her 'sleep walking'. You see her progress has been going so well that scans have indicated she has been able to regain certain memories. The odd thing about it she doesn't seem to realize it herself. We caught her a few times now, mostly in the middle of the night where she believes she isn't Rebecca and doesn't even listen to that name. The following morning she however can't recall anything that has happened when she was sleep walking. We're trying some new medication to see if she is able to skip waking up at night, it seems to be helping but there are still occasions that even the medication can't seem to stop. She's also not very fond of taking medication but that hasn't given her enough reason not to take it. She is unware of her nightly adventures for now but we're not sure for how long she'll remain unaware.
To evade any unwanted situations we're making sure she doesn't receive any outside visitors, of course she doesn't quite understand these measures as we've not been quite open about the matter to her. She believes she has been recovering quite well and that everything was leading to her possibly earning more freedom again if her health kept up. But not she's experiencing these memory lapses and is unaware of them. This brings me to the reason why I'm contacting you. Would you be willing to explain the situation to her or do you have any other approaches in mind on how to deal with this?
For now there isn't a rush but I'd appreciate it if you could reply to us within a week.

Dr. Harrison, I'm probably the least qualified person to decide on what would be the best approach on this. I have the feeling trying to explain the situation to her will just lead to more questions and more frustration. It has been somewhat of a repeating cycle when it comes to that. We've had to deal with multiple iterations of Rebecca's newly developed personalities, and in the end, the more she learned about her past, the higher the tendencies of her wanting to commit suicide or doing other autodestructive actions, be it clinging to a sexual opportunist named Mason Coleman who tried to make her move to Gallia, or naively trying to redeem herself for things that cannot be redeemed. Whatever she did, it ended up worsening the situation in multiple ways, often dragging other people into trouble as well.
On the other hand, I don't think proposing to treat anomal negative behavior with sedation and other pharmacy sounds like we're playing with her like a toy or a pet.
I really don't know. I think I would like to know more about her "sleep walking". Would you be willing to tell me more about her personality in that state? Do you think she is dangerous in these moments?

Hello Ezrael,
Good to hear from you so soon. It probably needs a better explanation to properly understand the situation. She has woken up around 6 times in the middle of the night now. She doesn't seem disturbed or confused even. She just goes about her day as if it is morning, doing her routines. She tends to leave her apartment after she realizes she is there on her own and not quite sure where she is. She can't leave the building so there is no risk in her walking off.
She doesn't seem startled by th fact that there are nurses and for now she has been fine with just being sent back to her apartment. After an hour or two she just falls asleep again. In the morning she is unaware she woke up. This all leads us to believe she might be experiencing a so called Dissociative identity disorder.
We are trying to keep interactions to a minimum to not make these nightly walks memorable for her. What we did find out by talking to her and monitoring her so far is that she believes she lives on Leeds. What doesn't seem to affect her is the time and her realising this, she simply takes it for granted.
There is however the issue where this might happen if she isn't in the clinic, in such a situation it could end up in confusing her and possibly leading to unwelcome situations.
The way I see it we have two options. Letting this develop on its own and see where it takes her without medication. Possibly trying to talk to her and see what is really going on mentally.
The other option is try and limit these nightly revivals of her with medication but as said, she doesn't like it and when we first told her she was getting more medication she was quite distraught as she believed she really was becoming better and the additional medication was simply counter intuitive to her.

I believe we should keep an eye on this and see how it develops.
One of the constants of most if not all iterations of her personality is the fact that they were all based on Leeds. I'll spare you the long story, but she spent a good amount of time on Leeds, and I am certain some of her most shaping moments have been there. We've been wondering whether bringing her to Leeds would maybe help, but since the planet has fallen fully into gallic hands, that is out of question. People are dying down there on a daily basis, and that doesn't even mention any of the other daily crimes. The only alternative I can think of would be bringing her to one of the holodomes on Manhattan. Expensive and also only temporarily. And we don't even know whether it would result in something good.
I'm still having regular contact to her via text and sometimes voice. That needs to suffice for now, as I can't really leave my position here right now, except for emergencies. Should the worst case happen, I can be there, though.
Contact me anytime if there are updates on Rebecca. Should this not work out, I can still try and explain the situation to her.

Hello Ezrael,
It has been a bit over a week since we last spoke and there have been some developments and results. Miss Edwards has been showing more clear signs of having multiple personalities. Scans have confirmed this to us as different parts of brain functions and memories are triggered whenever she lives in one or the other personality. So far her personalities are unaware of each other which can be a good thing as she hasn't started a panic yet for having memories she can't place properly. She also seems quite accepting to being here in the clinic even when she believes she lives on Leeds. As a matter of fact, her Leeds personality is easier to handle than Rebecca herself as she is still clueless on why we're keeping her here rather than giving her freedom she used to have.
We did indulge in her wishes somewhat by reducing the medication and allowing her to go out for her regular jogs in the morning with the condition she doesn't leave her group. It made Rebecca feel a little better and less upset about her situation but it did cause for her shifts to be more often and even lengthier than before. What would do her good however is a friendly face, one that isn't a nurse or a doctor or a fellow patient. Perhaps you can take her out, check how she is doing. After all you have more experience with both her personalities.
If you do find the time or know someone you can trust to show her around, we'd appreciate the effort. We'd like to keep monitoring her through it all to see how she reacts to things and how she processes the information. This shouldn't be a problem as she's quite used to being monitored.

Hello Dr. Harrison.
Thank you for the update. I believe at this point I will definitely come over for a few days. Right now, however, this is impossible. I will try to organize something for next week. Should anything more out of the ordinary than usual happen, please inform me as soon as possible.
