Faction Information
L’Action Révolutionnaire Conseillarde (A.R.C) is a subgroup of the Council forces that are actively fighting against the Royal Crown along but were won over to the political movement referred to as “L’Action Revolutionnaire”. This military cadre or sub-group within the council, shares the top priority of overthrowing the monarchy, but disagrees with what is to replace it. Unlike the rest of the council, it sympathetic to socialism or radicalist views such as the formation of a democratic People’s Republic of Gallia; views shared by the L’Action Revolutionnaire movement.
Honouring the Mouvement de Liberation Gaulois (Gallic Liberation Movement) of 717 A.G.S with victory over Marne, as the origin of the revolutionary struggle against the King, it disagrees with the political conclusion that after the fall of the monarchy, the new republic should be only a liberal one. For this group, although possibly perceived as being on the fringe of what other council members see as “Maquis” radicalism, aims to convince the entirety of the council that original goals of the MLG are not enough, and that the Revolution can only be made permanent and safe guarded under a “Peoples’ Republic” of Gallia. While dabbling actively with Maquis elements found within the AR movement unlike the rest of the Council; This particular group still disagrees with the use of terrorism or senseless acts of violence as a revolutionary tactic and still agrees that a level of moderation must be obeyed in order to win over the masses.
Adhering to its spirit of forming a democratic Gallia, it has decided that it’s own soldiers will participate in a democratic process when nominating it’s leader. ARC’s highest ranking position is based on democratic election, where it’s leader will be rotated.
History:
Founding of L’Action Revolutionnaire
The origins of ARC’s ideology comes from the Ligue d'action révolutionnaire (English: League for Revolutionary Action), most commonly known as Action révolutionnaire or simply la Ligue. Started as a Gallic far-left terrorist group that was supposedly founded in 741 A.G.S. by Louis-Lazare Donnier de Lumbres as a clandestine extremist Maquis cell.
This organisation's ultimate objective was to spread anarcho-communist ideals to Gallia and then to all Sirius, following all the necessary steps its founder and First Secretary outlined in his manifesto De la République sociale universelle et des moyens d'y parvenir (English: About Universal Social Republic and the ways to reach it). Publishing this book eventually resulted in Donnier being sacked from the New Paris Nanterre University, sentenced to death in absentia and forced to hide from the authorities.
The movement, struggling since it’s foundation, found itself at odds with the rest of Gallic Society. As Council forces remained raging throughout Gallia against the Royal Navy, AR would struggle to win over any substantial support from either other Maquis elements or from those in the rank-and-file of the Council. It wasn’t until Louis-Lazare caught the eye of a certain public invitation by a Professor in Marne.
The future of AR would take a turn, as given recent events , Donnier would catch note of a public congregation of radicals to discuss the notion of Socialism in Gallia. He participated in the recent open Socialist Congress of Gallia which caused a stir. In this Congress, Donnier opened his core ideas to the general masses, but compromised against his movements use of terrorist tactics. From here, his organization was now also developing into a political movement, which would captivate certain elements in Gallia.
Formation of L’Action Revolutionnaire Conseillarde
Planet Marne
In 826 A.S , an open Congress was called by a Social Sciences professor, Charles Macrus of Michel Simon University on Planet Marne. The topics which were to be discussed were the possibility of Socialism in Gallia, it’s governance and future of it’s society. Titled “Premier Congrès Socialiste de Gallia” or First Socialist Congress of Gallia, AR representatives would get word of this Congress and seek to participate in it. In addition to that, certain low profile Council soldiers and officers could be found among the crowd as well.
1st ARC Battlegroup
The Congress touched on the aforementioned topics, but with members of AR participating in the event, the Congress would take on a more pragmatic turn. It drew out conclusions that won over many of its participants, particularly those who were active within the Council’s forces. Some of these were aspiring, yet largely unknown Council officers: Ladina de Suisse, Benoit Lambert (an AR sympathizer), and Jean-Michel Pelletier. Opinions were voiced in matters such as to what a Socialist Gallia would be, what kind of government would replace that of the Monarchy, and the necessity of a radicalized military group to continue the Council’s struggle to overthrow the crown but also to push it towards a more radical outcome.
The Congress produced key conclusions that would lead to the formation of this new battle group. Firstly, the promotion of “scientific socialism” within the Council as a necessary ideological step to further the original aims of fore-fathers of the Mouvement Liberation Gaulois (Gallic Liberation Movement). Secondly, the assistance in the formation of an initial government, which would, one day, incorporate all Gallic peoples’ who agree on the overthrowing of the monarchy and the idea of a republic being the logical outcome. Thirdly, the necessity of an ideologically driven military battlegroup to defend the hopeful success of the Revolution against elements deemed as “counter revolutionary”.
From these conclusions, the no-name soldiers and officers of the Council, in conjunction with AR leaders, would rally together whatever few ships they commanded to begin the new socialist-leaning battlegroup known as L’Action Révolutionnaire Conseillarde (The League for Revolutionary Action of the Council), the new far-left leaning Council battle group seeking to take the aims of the Council’s revolution one step further.

Structure
Governing Laws of ARC
ARC adheres to a democratic process when deciding who leads the faction as the 'Colonel'. The colonel will hold absolute authority over the faction (both inRP and ooRP), while ARC's ideological guidance comes from the First Congress of Gallia (roleplay thread).
At the end of a Quarter, ARC will elect their Colonel which will be done by an open election compromising of all members of ARC. Nominations will be posted in a “general transmission” thread, and will be made open on the last month of the quarter. ARC members will elect the Colonel based on the nominees on the last week of the month for a week long election.
On the first day of the new quarter, the elected Colonel will take over command in all appropriate channels. A Colonel can only lead two consecutive terms.
