It has been a few months since I last had the honor of last reaching out to you.
As you might recall, our last conversation was in regards to registring Jump Drive technology
that was to be fitted on the Aoshima for experiments.
I am pleased to report that we have made promising strides in our research so far.
Preliminary results have produced a prototype device able to 'jump' objects to remote locations.
Further research should help narrow down the deviation between target and final location of these 'jumps'.
That said, the research data obtained hints at the possibility of our current goal; a whole new, near perpetual, energy source.
The discovery lies in what we at Kishiro have come to call "Hyperspace Breaches"; a breach in time and space that occurs as
a Jump Drive initiates.
While I would never show such imprudence as to bore you with all the details and science regarding this research,
suffice to say providing the Jump Drive with enough power to further research these Hyperspace Breaches is significant.
With this in mind we would like to inquire in the possibility of acquiring a Komainu class Battlecruiser.
By our estimates the ships specs would suffice for further exploring this new potential power source
while at the same time allowing us to experiment with how efficient it will be in sustaining the Kusari fleets
energy requirements on the go and the effects of this new power on Capital Ship class equipment.
Of course we fully understand if no such vessel is currently available to be spared, what with the war efforts.
As such we are prepared to provide monetary compensation to further support the forces that so diligently strive to maintain the peace in Kusari,
or, with your permission, look into salvaging a potentially damaged vessel and restore it back to working order.
Of course we would be happy to support your efforts in any way we can, as the Naval Forces has and will benefit immensely from the research and development that your company conducts.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to spare any combat ships in the current situation and in the foreseeable future.
I'm sure you understand under what kind of constraints we are operating when it comes to this.
However, there may be a way for us to help after all:
We have procured a civilian "Bustard" class carrier ship in the past for the purpose of training and exercise which has seen little use in this year.
Potentially, we could lease this vessel to you, if it is able to fit your purposes.
Please let us know what you think about this suggestion.
I cannot say your words come as a surprise, the war effort no doubt takes every asset that is available to ensure the security of our home.
Your offer is generous and I have discussed with the other scientists in my team about what the expected projections would be if a Bustard class carrier was used
to continue to build the research off of.
The general concensus within the team is that we could further improve the Jump Drive technology,
though the potential energy source and its benefits on Kusari technology, which is currently the main focus of the project, would stagnate or be unable
to be further pursued. This would be a great loss as it will potentially yield the most beneficial results.
To that end, unfortunately, we would need a Kusarian vessel of at least cruiser size though preferably larger, lest we risk overloading the systems.
This would also help prevent any potential compatibility issues by ensuring the technology is custom made for ships of Kusari origin.
Given that all ships are currently needed for the war, might I humbly propose we revisit the idea of salvaging any of the ships that might have fallen
in the current or prior conflicts? This way we could restore one of the fleets missing ships to its former glory and, with a bit of luck, outfit it with the results of
our hard labor and research. A proof of concept of sorts, if you will.
I pray that you do not consider this alternative suggestion disrespectful, please be assured that we are only interested in acting with Kusari's best interests in mind.
Please allow me to first congratulate you on the peaceful conclusion of the war.
I hope you will be pleased to hear the Saigon Autonomous Council has been remaking
significant progress in the Sigma-21 system, especially with the development of
Tsingtao.
However as you certainly already know the GMG have decided to continue their
hostilities and not even Tsingtao, which is publically been made known as a Kishiro
base, is safe from their assaults.
The Aoshima has briefly paused working on Project Mirror to assist with the relief efforts,
however continously repairing the damages caused by GMG, the Coalition and the others
who assist them is not a sustainable plan.
Considering the renewed peace, I humbly ask my previous request be revisited to aid
in the security and defense of the system. It is my belief this will also help project
the strength of house Kusari, in the current situation nearly all of the defense is being
fielded by Rheinland.
