Sender: Capitaine Dominique Lemelin Recipient: Pierre Vaillant Subject: Situation
Monsieur Vaillant,
My name is Dominique Lemelin, captain of Royal Navy Destroyer "Blois". Before the battle of New London, my warship was assigned to Le Cendre battlegroup. We managed to survive during that battle and retreat to Dublin system with minimal damage. However, we're running low on ammo, fuel and food rations. Our current location is a Hood asteroid field. We tried to establish a communication channel with MRG HQ, but no one answered our communique. Je hope you're alive and able to explain me, what is going on.

Monsieur Lemelin !
Of course I am still alive! The destiny will have to find more to kill me. I do remember you for sure. Who fought together in New London before the last Great Battle. The loss of Le Cendre is very sad. It was one our main Battlegroup in New London. He deserves all our respect.
I am quite disturbed that you haven’t received an answer from the High Command. I managed to contact them once our retreat from New London done, but I lost their contact. Worse, the Amiral de Gaulle de Chanteloup disappeared since the New London battle. I can’t say if she’s at the current time in Gallia or even dead.
Despite that our last forces in Leeds with the Dax and Montmorency are holding a defensive line in order to prevent an attack from the Allied Forces. But if they do, it is very unlikely we can stop them. We are now preparing the evacuation of our forces towards the Hébrides –Aquitaine system-. Leeds planet is currently suffering a massive genocide and dozen transports from all Sirius are trying to save the maximum of refugees. We have the order to not interfere with them. The responsible of this genocide remains for now unclear and we already have deserters.
As for the RNS-Blois, you may use Issodun Drydock in Aquitaine for the resupply. There are already plenty of our ships in reparations there but they will be able to find time for your ship. I believe you know the jump hole leading in this system directly from Dublin.
Sincèrement
Marine Royale Gauloise, Commandant Pierre Vaillant.
