I am Gabriella la Huerta, Secretary of Commerce for the Republic of Malta. I'm sure we've never met in person, but you may have seen my name signed for many of the supply shipments that occasionally make their way down to our colony on Lipari Island.
I'm sending this as a proposal for the Republic to take up more significant residence within the Tau-44 system. The Republic of Malta is looking to rent space from Crayter, and construct an outpost within Borneo's long orbit. The outpost in question, to be a 'Montevideo'-class Modular Station, is planned to operate as a base of operations for the Republic within the Tau systems, and offer us a platform from which to store overflow on supplies for Lipari. The Republic can forward whatever fees that may be required, and will naturally abide by the Crayterian Legal Code in regards to administration of the station. Due to the heavily present Crayterian military force in the system, we do not expect to require the construction of defensive platforms.
If all is within order, then all we need know is which location to send any required fees. Should Crayter require more information before moving forward, we will be more than happy to disclose what we can.
I do recognize the name, yes, but I don't believe we have ever met in person, no.
Working with your Republic has been something of a specialty of my governance I suppose. Considering the work we've done with both Lipari as well as our joint effort with Baja, I see no problem with your people taking up a more permanent residence, especially if it's simply to act as a storage location.
For starters, I believe it would be best follow standard Crayterian Base Application forms. If your department could forward fifty million credits before construction of the installation to =CR=Treasury, and a following sum of 350 million before the first month is out, then your Republic is more than welcome to take up residence in Borneo orbit.
Thank you for your patience.
I'm pleased to inform you and Crayter that the Republic has submitted the required fee of fifty million, and have established Santa Elena Depot within the Makassar Field to the north of Borneo. Authorization for Crayter vessels has already been applied and locks on hostiles have been secured.
I will see about forwarding the rest of the fees within the next week or two. I hope this is sufficient.
I look forward to continuing our business together.
