Melissa is sat in an unusual office, she seems a bit uncomfortable just as the transmission begins, but as it does, she smiles warmly. She speaks in a friendly manner, as if talking to a close friend more than a business partner.
"Grand Admiral Golanski, it feels like too long since we spoke, my friend. Hope you're well and that the long absence of conversation hasn't changed our position towards each other.
Actually, the purpose of this message more than anything, is to actually let you know, since IRG's disbandment, Velvet as an organisation is looking to get more involved in the research and development side of things. Especially since now, we are the prime owners of Corinth Research Station, Ames Research Station and now even Corfu. We would be looking at working alongside you and your research and development teams so that we can work on our primary antagonist together, and not as separates. Many hands make light work and all that, right? And as we want to look into research beyond human, Nomad, we know that you are the experts, so wouldn't want to go behind your back in any way, shape or form. Absolute transparency is key on our side here.

It is good to hear from you. So far any doubts I had about Velvet born out of my intrinsic paranoia (comes from being in The Order for so long) were either unfounded or solved swiftly by your administration. I consciously wish to be proven wrong than to be dissapointed.
I am willing to entertain the idea. Before disbandment of old Zoner Alliance, Corinth was administered by a friendly Zoner group. They went by many names: Zoner Trader Consortium, Omicroners, Phoenix. At the time we had an agreement with them over the southern Zoner stations, Corinth included. It all went to hell with OSI and various upstarts claiming space left and right and leaving nothing to a ‘native’ Omicron Zoner people.
I need assurances on safety of any Order Overwatch researcher operating on and from Corinth as tensions in Omicron Mu rise, as well what kind of equipment and fraction of the station’s interior that will be leased specifically for purposes of this research treaty. Old treaty had been lost to time so we will need to work out specifics from scratch but I am willing to go with ad hoc approach as well.
In separate request, I need you to submit anything you’ve got on “G.R.G” to me, The Order Intelligence “Wedjat” and The Order if the Inquisition as soon as you are capable of. Allegedly they are former Ingenuus employees from with specialty in research and development which fits MO of their parent faction. It appears that loss of Omicron Kappa and by extension of that: Corinth, have displaced them to galactic north where they caused a bit of a diplomatic stir, with their intentions being deliberately malicious or had just failed to read Order etiquette before approaching us are yet to be determined.

Melissa seems surprised with what Michal says and chuckles. She bows her head respectfully and speaks in a friendly tone.
"Well, knowing that our allies are impressed with what we're doing, is definitely something that makes this worth our efforts. In fact, I can see our effort aligning more and more, especially given a few recent events, which I will elude to later. For now, Corinth will remain under Velvet's supervision, along with our own Stella Hoshii who is currently the administrator and also lead of Research And Development within our ranks.
New negotiations are definitely welcome, as always. Using old ones would almost feel like a step back, when both Velvet and the Order have our own story. I can guarentee absolute safety of your people, as when they are within our stations and controlled space of the Peloponnese Edge Nebula. We have multiple destroyers stationed outside permanently should anything be stupid enough to cause issues here.
Now, the thing that surprises me is the sudden request for information of GRG? I will happily share with you, as you, Admiral Holt and Colonel Hideyoshi have all been incredibly well graced to me and my people in the past. I can indeed confirm that the head of the group, Martin Lawrence, is indeed an ex IRG member. As to his exact field, he did say several times but I lacked any interest. As to their current employee register, I cannot confirm precisely how many of them are ex IRG by exact number. I would prefer to not go digging through their stuff, as that's not really my style.
For your benefit, I have attached previous communications since Martin Lawrence took lead and founded Genesis Research Group. The one from Stella was given by my request, which she gave me read access to. His attitude to my people is well... Interesting to say the least.
Naturally, there can be more shared of our communications while he was a member of IRG but, I will be honest, see little benefit in this."
Before i get to the point, i believe, some formal introduction is in order since we did not have the pleasure of speaking yet. My name is Stella Hoshii, and i am inclined to believe what miss Jones meant by "opening this up to our teams" meant granting me access to this channel as well.
The recent days have been quite a mess, so bear with me if i suddenly start rambling about it over this channel. But i will try my best to abstain from doing this...
... now, where was i. Joint research efforts, security of the Overwatch personnel coming and going from Corinth... all this can be done and assured in the long run: my station as it is has enough space to fit multiple constant Order laboratories and our defence systems include constant patrols to the known anomalies, with Omicron Chi anomaly being under especially keen watch considering this system is suspected to contain a Nomad structure, yet it was not determined whetever it is active or abandoned. Additional caution can never harm. Regular patrols are supported by quick response units based off Livadia and Corinth, but overall, despite the omnious presence of sentient AI drones and being on the edge of the Corsair empire - Kappa is a relatively peaceful system rarely visited by odd elements.
That might be the reason Genesis Research Group concerns me more than most of the resolved or non-existant trouble. Their behavior is what sure was odd, odd enough to tick me off - and that is sure a rare occassion. Frankly - i do not trust them for a single moment, and would request disguised Order personnel to be dispatched to the station and observe their activities in their designated section of the station. They only claim those laboratories to be "checkpoints" for Genesis logistic vessels on their way to Ames, but i feel like there's something more to it.
I hope i can count on the Order's assistance with this - that if Genesis will still accept my proposition.

Melissa smiles and bows her head respectfully as she starts speaking in a friendly and calm tone. Her Cambridge accent slightly more pronounced than usual.
"Grand Admiral Golanski, it's with good news that I can announce that Velvet has reached an accord with Genesis, please see the primary attachment. The terms of the agreement list the stopping of construction of an Aquilon class carrier, as per second attachment.
Now, I want to be honest, I have expressed to Evan who is a friend of mine, that I do not trust Martin Lawrence. If possible, please can I ask for a watchful eye in Epsilon, just to see if they are true to their word? If needed, I can get a select team of agents who can keep an eye on there if you cannot spare the man power. I trust Evan, 100%. It's his boss with whom I am concerned will go back on this."
