I bid you good day,

I bring you concerning news regarding a "Nephilim"-class Colony ship. The "~USS~Stardust~". Intercepted in Liberty System by one of the Gazal Gunboats, the ship in question has later on opened unauthorized fire on the Gazal operatives AND a Liberty Cruiser. Ultimately, the on-site Initiative agents have terminated said "Stardust"- now only dust to collect in empty space. This win has not come without a great cost, as the Liberty Siege Cruiser which has assisted greatly in taking down this behemoth has been downed. The Gazal agents aboard the "Hephaestus" have rescued all the crew they could find and delivered them to West Point. On top of that, a Civilian was also killed by the same Capital Ship that downed a Liberty Officer. It is an extremely distasteful mishap that Liberty allowed the presence of such large Ship- which by no doubt I believe it was never meant to be allowed. I am bringing you the information attached to this transmission as proof of my claims.

"Howdy Gazal, Ah thought this might 'appen. The USS Stardust has been on our radar for about a week now, after Velvet recieved a report and a request from Liberty Police about it's actions. Ah Personally was the one who sent a communication to Stardust to cease and desist from their operations at Bethlehem and beyond. At first ah thought it was some idealistic do-gooder protecting the Zoners at Bethlehem whilst ignoring that us Zoners respect Liberty law. Whilst we are Velvet do not claim to be responsible for every Zoner vessel, we can say in this instance we condemn the actions of the Stardust categorically and completely. The fact that the Stardust engaged outside the No-Fire-Zone and deep within Liberty space means that he broke many laws. Zoners are not aggresive like this, we act in defense only and the fact he decided to do this lunancy well, we cannot abide it.

We also can't do much to stop him, but rest assured we will block his access to Velvet stations for causing this havoc in Liberty space.

I deeply apologize that this transmission made you feel accountant for this Commander's actions. In truth- such thing was not intended. I am personally concerned that this maniac of a commander will ignore every warning and continue on his acts. And now he is heading to Bretonia in causing havoc- one thing the Gazal Initiative will not allow under any circumstances. Sovereign Space, as much as the Imperium Omicronis must be protected at all costs from lunatics that somehow- someway- have managed to grip on Battleships.

Below you can see the blackbox of "Hephaestus". It clearly shows that this Warship aimed to go for Cortez- Bretonia, and I highly doubt the Kingdom of Bretonia allowed a ship of this size in their territory- especially after a very bloody war ended. Should you use it to warn them or not is up to you- The Gazal endorses actions against this Commander. The access code to make a carbon copy of this section of the blackbox is "G192AZAL".

Velvet,

The Gazal will personally attempt to take over the Warship by force. A detachment of marines will be deployed once the target has been imobilized. Next time we see the Stardust: It either gets blown up for good, or comes with us to Alabama Shipyard for stripping or Livadia for repurposing. Should Velvet bring vessels within Liberty and Bretonia for requisitioning and assistance then I'd appreciate the gesture.

One thing is certain, though. Sooner or later we'll get a grip of this situation.

"Gazal, i appreciate your position here. Under our agreement, this is now under our jurisdiction as until otherwise, this is a Zoner vessel, and as such, this is now our issue to fix. Should you interfere, this will go against our terms of our negotiations earlier. Attached for your convenience. Now, I suggest you only act in self defense if this rogue vessel attacks you. Until then, it is relieved of any protection that we would have granted it. I should remind you that The Gazal has no interest in using a Nephilim for its own purposes. At this moment we are focusing on securing it in order to hand it over later on to Velvet. Stated previously in this Transmission: should any Velvet vessels assist in this, the outcome would be the same. However if you trully believe you can take on a Nephilim by yourself without breaking House laws, then I am more than happy to withdraw forces from this matter.

Finally I hear from you. It has been quite a while, to say the least. Pleasanteries aside, I am glad that the Liberty Police took note of this and takes action, thus instead of moving assets to Velvet's aid, I am offering the Liberty Police Incorporated the aid of Hephaestus.
