My dear, dear, Cobra,
yesterday I met some Outcasts - LG, whatever that means - in the middle of New York. They talked about some sort of deal with our organization. They - their group, not those two vessels that I met - would be delivering goods to Ames for our sake. I planned on shooting them at first, until they mentioned that agreement. I simply asked them to leave the system and returned to base myself.
How shall I act if I meet them again? Just ignore that pest? Shall I remove them in whatever necessary way?

Dear? You fixing to be my lover or something, Widow?
Jokes aside, that agreement is legitimate so let them run the goods to Ames, try not to give them a hard time. Our end goal is to take away everything the Junkers currently enjoy, especially the Cardamine trade. There's no better way to claw our way back to the top than by using the vices of the Manhattan addicts. They have more money than sense, and if we hold their drugs in our hands then that becomes our money.
It's not pretty by any moral standards, but they have it coming and we need the money to actually pull off anything substantial, so keep that in mind before you let the holier than thou mindset take over. The only reason we're even able to potentially exploit this is because of the corruption that already exists. And that much should be easily observable to someone with as many eyes as yourself.

Am I? I am not, right? No. That's your imagination and your interpretation, my dear Cobra.
Understood. I will not touch the Outcasts who are flying under the LG-flag. If those pests bring up the right arguments, I'm willed to ignore them until I gathered further information. But if they are not bringing up some arguments, they will die. Generally spoken, my dear.

Have me in touch? You're skipping first base.
Anyway, I trust that you can handle yourself and won't do anything stupid. More importantly, I'll need you to make sure that nobody else does either. So that'll be a little test of your responsibility as a leader. Try not to disappoint, you've given yourself quite the reputation so far. Be a shame if my dear Widow tarnished her name after all that hard work.

Taking any gap I can, remember.
Don't blame the poor little Widow if papa Cobra can't lead all of his baby-snakes into the right direction. Of course I will keep them from doing stupid things if I see them around, no worries about that. Don't tell me you would trust me if you have doubts in my deeds and words. Or are you afraid of losing the reins if you would stop to try to remember me of your expectations, hopes and wet dreams all the time? Sometimes I wish, I could just attach a chuckle to my written transmissions. Just imagine it right at this point. Shouldn't be too hard for you anyways, right?

Yes, I remember.
And you're right, I don't doubt you. But I'm not afraid of my job security either. I'd also expect you to know by now that you being my favourite is a well established fact. Something your peers might not always enjoy given the implications of favouritism, but I'm sure they'll learn to suck it up and work harder to offset that.

Either way.
They will improve or at some point die due to a lack of experience, skill and knowledge. I've been confronted with being your favorite since I joined the organization, Cobra. Don't forget that this favoritism does not only affect myself, but also your stance within the organization. If they should happen to challenge me in whatever possible way, they also challenge you. And if I fail, within their eyes, you will have failed as well. It's in both of our interests that I'll stay on top of those who have joined the Alliance before I did. I won't go down. And you won't either.

Sounds like alimony to me.
Not exactly a challenging thing to do, you outpace all your peers and it's honestly quite refreshing to have somebody on the same pace. Regrettably, I haven't had the pleasure of seeing you on my wing during a live engagement. Your handling of the LSF so far is smooth, the operative has a thing or two to learn from you, not their fault that they're more us than they are Government though. I'm going to be expanding the scope of your duties to include an advisory role, when I want a second opinion I'll be asking you for it.
And on that note, I'm going to ask you something right now. Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse, NEMP. A crude weapon as old as our history out here in the stars, and as violent as our collective ambitions. It'll cause a fair bit of disruption and enable us to followup with destruction. But we only have one shot contrasted by multiple attractive targets. My question has to be who you would shoot with the only bullet you have, your enemy or people that have sold you out?

Interesting.
It might not be challenging, but some of your snakes are possibly willed to try it anyway. So we will see about that, right? However, if that deal with Siren should go through, especially if it's about the Alabama, that should push my reputation among our people a little further. Additionally, we would have a stronger position on the field. If this stays as smooth as it goes now, it will be a win for both: the organization and myself, personally.
I'm not all too surprised that we've got a NEMP ready. If you really wanted to use it, you would have done that already. My dear, why would you use it against either of them? I would not fire it against an enemy or traitors, but keep it. Why waste such a power for nothing, if you can use it to 1.) intimidate, 2.) demonstrate power and 3.) have a basis for negotiation to eventually set an ultimatum if necessary. Just threaten them to get us into a stronger position. If it doesn't work, good, you might end up having a target anyways.

An interesting answer. I expected as much.
I'll be relocating to Pittsburgh for supervision of our operations there, if you intend to visit that is. I'll go about securing your elevation to the position of Royal, it's quite the boost in authority and privilege and as far as provisions go you'll be treated to the best we can get. That means the armories are open to you now, so if you'd like to browse through uncommon gear then let me know.
I think that clears up everything for the moment, contact me to report back as the situation develops.
