The Video opens of a man looking gaunt there is deep sadness and a look of regret on his face.
To those in charge of Bretonia,
It is with a heavy heart I contact you this day. The people of Gallia have performed dark, unspeakable actions in the name of our King. I want to believe what I have been told is untrue, that King Charles XI
would have made such a call. What happened on Leeds is horrific, words cannot describe the deep sadness and pain I feel for the tragedy of Leeds. If I may, this is an old earth quote that feel is right for this particular occasion.
He picks up a small book with the title "Citations de la vieille terre" emblazoned in gold lettering on the front with a fluer-de-lis inlaid with silver underneath.
Dan Ariely Wrote:Les catastrophes sont généralement le bon moment pour réexaminer ce que nous avons fait jusqu'à présent, quelles erreurs nous avons commises et quelles améliorations devraient être apportées par la suite.
Allow me to translate, "Disasters are usually a good time to re-examine what we've done so far, what mistakes we've made, and what improvements should come next."
EFL has re-examined our past actions, and found them unquestionably wrong. We have made mistakes, blindly following our King in what he deemed a "just crusade" answering his every whim with a "Comme vous le souhaitez, votre majesté". Now, as a direct result of his recklessness, billions lie dead, including no doubt many of your own kin including...
The words caught in his throat.
...my own son, Nicolas Dupont, who died in the battle over Planet New London.
He cleared his throat attempting to regain come semblance of composure.
As the last of the quote says, we must now look at what improvements should come next. While nothing can ever bring back those who have been killed in this war, we can try to move forward. During the months before the final push into New London, the Gallic Crown gave EFL advanced payment, clearly confident in their abilities to take New London. These payments would cover the construction of the new Trade Lane Network in New London post war. While The Board and myself could simply pocket the money and pad our own and many others at EFL's retirements funds we have decided to attempt to be the first of Gallia to show warmth to Bretonia. I know not what the politicians intend to do, nor do I frankly care, with the Crown dissolved EFL has much more freedom then it once had. One of the first decisions we are making is pushing through our plans laid out by The King as sign of good will. EFL is offering the following:
-EFL will fix all broken trade lanes the Leeds and New London Systems.
-EFL accepts the fact that Bretonia will not pay for upkeep in the systems of Leeds and New London for a period not extending past 50 years from the time of Bretonia and EFL reaching an agreement.
I understand this may come as a shock, and may come with some level of complication in regards to any current contracts with Ageira Technologies. While complicating things, in the interest of preventing more unnecessary bloodshed we assure you EFL will take ever effort to maintain the peace between Ageira Technologies and ourselves. For the sake of record keeping EFL's board in partnership with some of Gallia's finest lawyers have created the "War Reparation Cost Nullification Program" which is what I explained above.
I don't anticipate getting a warm response, why should I? We have been at war for the past decade. Someone has to come forward though, EFL has always been on the forefront of Gallic Society pushing social and technological change. Seems only right we make the first move here as well.
In light of recent unspeakable actions performed by the Gallic Royal Navy (Now more colloquially known as "Gallic Royal Enclave").
It has been deemed fit that EFL holds blame in no small part to those displaced by the war. From the construction and upkeep of Military Ships, to supplying The Roi's war machine with Fuel and Munitions used to spread chaos and destruction. These actions have caused the displacement and death of a great many people. EFL acknowledges this, and in an effort to pay these debts, not just to Bretonia, but to Humanity has seen fit to implement the "War Reparation Cost Nullification Program". Upon being approved for this program EFL Oil and Machinery will waive all fees and costs involved in a transaction which has been approved by EFL Oil and Machinery's Lawyers.
In order to qualify for the War Reparation Cost Nullification Program, the party must provide the following information:

Organization Name: (HERE)
Colloquial Organization Alignment: (HERE)
Head of Organization: (HERE)
How has the actions of the Gallic Royal Navy(Enclave) put you in your current situation?: (HERE)
The government has discussed your offer in detail, and we have decided to provisionally accept your offer. Be aware that we are not overly interested in friendly relations with you or Gallia, such as it is. However, you wish to make amends for recent actions and although those wounds are still fresh, we are willing to offer you a chance.
Note however no EFL ships will be permitted entry into Bretonia and so you must contract Bretonian corporations exclusively for the purposes of shipping from a location of your choosing. Your technical personnel will of course be allowed entry, but not under EFL colours.
