During my flight though Brittany to Tau-23 I have met a pilot of the Royal Enclave.
The pilot and I had a short but calm conversation as a result of which the Royal Enclave has got about us and can reach contact with our corporation now.
I provided him with very minimal information thus they might need more of it to understand who we are and what is our goal. They know our name, who is our leader and our unclarified stance toward the Enclave as well because we had no contact with it until now.
p.s. My apologies if something was done wrong. The meeting with him was unexpected for me.

Dear employees of Montluc Advanced Engineering, I am brought a great news.
During my flight though Dauphine, I met a pilot of the Marine Royale Gauloise forces with which I had a short conversation. Monsieur Micheaux has confirmed that the MRG forces have returned to foreign space and the following communication log can provide you with a full conversation with this pilot.
[07.12.2019 20:35:17] Montluc~Touraine: Bonjour, monsieur.
[07.12.2019 20:35:19] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: Bonsoir, capitaine.
[07.12.2019 20:35:23] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: How goes it?
[07.12.2019 20:35:30] Montluc~Touraine: Pretty fine actually.
[07.12.2019 20:35:43] Montluc~Touraine: Nice to see a friendly face in Gallia, I guess.
[07.12.2019 20:35:50] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: Oui. Just returned from the war.
[07.12.2019 20:36:02] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: Unbelievable, what happened while we were away...
[07.12.2019 20:36:13] Montluc~Touraine: Le Council movement occupied our Core worlds but I believe with your return this is not for a long.
[07.12.2019 20:36:51] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: Who knows, at this rate.
[07.12.2019 20:36:53] Montluc~Touraine: We have heard odd news from front to be honest. I can't believe le Roi's fleet burned Leeds to a glass wasteland
[07.12.2019 20:37:16] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: I was on the New London frontline when that happened. We were late to pull away.
[07.12.2019 20:37:53] MRG|Zacharie.Micheaux: I'm afraid I'll have to take my leave. Good luck, monsieur.
[07.12.2019 20:37:56] Montluc~Touraine: That's horrible, monsieur. So many casualties... Unbelievable.
[07.12.2019 20:38:01] Montluc~Touraine: Good luck, monsieur.
Today I was on a regular delivery errand to Ile-de-France. Nothing weird, another routine visit, as much as any visit in post-war Gallia can be. And what do I see? An unknown capital vessel right in front of New Paris! Signatures told of "Sirius Coalition" - don't know exactly what to make of it, but seems like the local database provided the IFF accurately. The target was defined by the board computer as hostile, and, given the disparity of my ship and the vessel in question, my heart stood still. Luckily, there are still big ships in the orbit of the capital, so I could just return to my business.
Please, take care and traverse with caution- these provisional governments allow too much for the foreigners. Be warned and safe skies!
Vardan Raza
Brittany, a star system in the heart of Gallic Hebrides, from where the war with Sirius has started years ago.
For a long time, we have been finding various reports in open-access about strange interferences within D'Iroise asteroid field in Brittany system. We had no doubt that this is well-known in Sirius stellar anomalies of unaligned class, but we have no data about a frequency of a stellar anomaly appear in normal space. Therefore, we have dispatched an exploring drone to reach this place in no time and explore the field in seek of any logic of their spawn places and cooldown between spawns within the field.
Everything was going fine without issues until the drone reached the orbit of planet Rennes on 13th December of 742 A.G.S. After this, we have lost a signal with our satellite - it just disappeared from our radars. The drone kept silent for 2 days and our team got no data from it until 15th December. The connection with the drone was re-established but after a short data exchange, it was lost again. Data received from it included a short visual log and an approximate location of the drone (carbon copy included).
The uncharted system, Unknown space, 16/17th December, 742 A.G.S.
During the passage through Brittany system, our drone has found unaccounted gravitational anomaly next to planet Rennes. The drone was dragged into it and then the signal has been lost when the drone has entered in unknown space.
A basic check of the recovered visual log found that the drone had returned back to normal space somewhere within a dense asteroid field not so far from the stellar nebula located. It could not be recognized by our astronomers as part of Sirius or Gallic stellar groups. Thus we suppose that this is something very far beyond our reach.
To investigate this event and reach more information about the anomaly and the system itself we were granted permission to send another drone to the last approximate location of the stellar breach in Brittany system. When the ship came there it has detected a small Enclave fleet which entered the system. Taking into the account Enclave expedition presence there I think that our first scout encountered a growing unstable anomaly whereas the Enclave (I believe they were sent any) found a stable jump hole enter to the uncharted system.
Our drone followed them and entered the jump breach to reach the distant system. There its found an expeditionary fleet consisting destroyer, research liner and a wing of small craft. Enclave forces received codes of our drone and show no hostile attitude. Unfortunately, scouting mission within the asteroid field in search of the first scout or at least its black box finished with a failure. Nothing was found at the 30K range around the jump hole.
Afterwards, the command centre has ordered the drone to return back to Keurgelen Fabrication Facility in Languedoc for resupply and repairs. In the meantime, we already started to prepare our own small expedition to the system. The space frontiers await us.
At the 01:14 PM of 17th December, 742 A.G.S. our expedition consisting one "Corvo"-class vessel "Becquerel" with survey probes on board and two escort fighters from a security wing was dispatched for the mission in the uncharted. Our ships reached the anomaly in no time and we entered the breach without issues at the 02:19 PM.
Within the field we have found a deposit of so-named "Narcrahtite" ore - the crystallisation formations found in the big rocks of the asteroid field near the "centre" of the system. After the extraction with using of Corvo's mining laser which was set instead of one gun, we have discovered that the material was described as "artificial" unlike the rest of rocks around. After the basic tests on board of "Becquerel", we have found that this material is also highly delicate and our modern extraction technology is not enough to extract this material carefully from these asteroids with a minimal or no damage at all.
Besides, our expedition discovered a derelict battleship-class vessel within the system next to the deposit of "Narcrahtite". The hull seemed undamaged and was based on a Liberty Battleship. The ship had no visuals of weaponry on it. Instead of the weaponry, it, as it seemed, had extra strong armour which we could not breach with any kind of mining or cracking equipment we had (including military-grade defence lasers).
We found no escape pods in 30K radius from the hull of this ship. Therefore I think that ship was drifting within the asteroid field for a long and its original crash place is somewhere else. Currently, it is drifting very slowly with the rest of asteroids within the field and we can keep tracking it all time long there.
Despite the limitations of the mining methods, the scouting expedition managed to extract sufficient for further research and experiments, as well as possible fabrication. The cargo of Narchrarite was sealed in an isolated container and safely delivered to Kerguelen. Our R&D department staff has already received the package and started experiments with it. The results thereof will be announced at the earliest convenience.
Vardan Raza,
Chief Research Officer, Montluc Advanced Engineering
I hereby report the situation in Bretonia. Yesterday aboard "Sorbonne" we reached so-called Omega 49 system, or "Exeter" as Bretonians now call it. Surprisingly enough, those poor sods even managed to expand following the war. At any rate, we came in peace with the purpose of marketing research to see if we can sell our goods to local parties on the fringe of Omegas where reliable Gallic ships might come handy, as well as whether we can sell robotics and import some local raw materials. To our surprise, we came across a big clash between Bretonian Armed Forces and the communists of the Coalition. While the reason of the feud is unknown to us, it appears there used to be an agreement between the two that was recently violated. Or not. A deal with communists does not worth even the paper it is written on. At any rate, mes amies, be warned of the situation and try to avoid Western Omegas for now. I would suggest going to Rheinland instead. The logs and the guncam footage are attached.

Charles Moreau
Is is not a big secret that our Gallia is changing and not the all of it were accepted well of the people. For example, after the Confederacy came to power it has opened our borders to former enemies of our people and already has "leased" Versailles station, the former residence of DeFrance family in the very heart of Gallia to such interstellar corporation of Sirius as Interspace Commerce.
MAE is keen on improving the economic situation in Gallia without giving foreigners our territories but instead building new facilities within Gallia to create jobs and increase goods output to sell to foreigners and increase the capital influx from abroad. To that end, we are developing Kerguelen fabrication facility in Languedoc. With the Kerguelen facility capacity increase, our Logistics Division has faced an issue of an inefficient cargo capacity of ships we use. As the Chief Logistics Officer, I decided that we require to have at least one heavy transport to compensate losses we were made because of an inefficient cargo of "Taureau"-class Armored transports. Moreover, the corporation needs a logistics ship which can be used with or without escort and be capable to transport heavy cargo like ship parts, alloys or ores for further smelting. Thus our choice befell upon "Vache"-class Train as the most optimal for our needs.
"La Grosse Dame" Train
"La Grosse Dame" - a humorous name for the first "Vache"-class train in our logistics fleet. For its construction, we have been leased one of Fourchambault shipyard's drydocks for the duration of one week. During this time, we are to construct the ship itself, procure or construct engines, a heavy armour upgrade, defence systems and a countermeasure dropper. All electronic systems, such as the navigation system and communication array are to be calibrated and ready to function in any conditions, regardless of the situation.

Moreover, CRO Raza has mentioned that our expeditionary corp within R&D Division needs a more autonomous ship for their tasks. They have used a "Corvo"-class Explorer but our native "Lucullus"-class liner should be exactly what Vardan and his people needs. The facilities on it are ideal for long term scientific expeditions because there is more than adequate space on the passenger decks for scientific equipment, and the ship's substantial life support capabilities are designed for large crews so that smaller scientific teams like ours could use the vessel do not require frequent resupply. From all available for us, this is the best ship we could ever get in our research fleet.
"Becquerel" Research Liner
"Becquerel" - that was the name of Dr Raza's "Corvo" Explorer and will be a name for our "Lucullus". For the construction of it, we have leased the same drydock of Fourchambault shipyard but for two weeks. During this period we are to build a specialized ship for following primary tasks: long-range expeditions, exploration and research labour in conditions of space and low or zero gravitation.
It is not a big secret that even a colonized space is full of various dangers, sometimes even more deadly than the wild nor uncharted space ones. Our Engineering divisions in cooperation with our fabrication division have crafted a Capital Armor VIII grade which increases the durability of the hull but decreases the size of its cargo capacity.
"Becquerel" is going to be equipped with the most advanced scanner available on the civilian market nowadays - the Jintsuriki scanner made by Kishiro Technologies. This scanner can provide the vessel with an incredible detection range of 16K but to provide such a wide span and optimize equipment for civilian vessels the developers have sacrificed a scanning range and it is amounting just a 2K.
The part of living quarters is going to be used to increase the size of sections more important for research and exploration tasks: additional laboratories, a large medical bay with separated isolator which can be used in the cause of possible contamination after the contact with exoplanet biosphere. Observation deck became an observatory where the exploration team can do cartography and explore the stellar object from a far distance.
Not to say about the engine. The liner is going to get enhanced engines which provides durability during the maneuvres. The system itself will use Promethene as fuel but it can use Rheinland MOX or Kusari H-Fuel as well.

Chief Logistics Officer, Montluc Advanced Engineering
Today while doing the regular run to the Hebrides to study the gravitational anomalies for adjusting our ships to jumping through the jumpgates and jumpholes our ship "Sorbonne" was hailed by an unidentified vessel. Allegedly, it was a brigand but initially we did not pay much attention. The pilot was inquiring about who we are and what we do, and later on tried to extort us, claiming that "Brigands now run the Languedoc" while Minarchy is too weak to police anything. We managed to fend off the brigand without sustaining any damage and the Sirian "Corvo"-class vessel that we purchased for marketing research in areas where Gallic ships are prohibited proved itself very well. The brigand later on tried to blackmail us, claiming he has "proofs" that we are working with the Enclave. Which is laughable, of course, as the only thing mentioned in the talks was that the Enclave does not attack us because we are civilian Gallic vessels that the Enclave is not even supposed to attack. The logs of the encounter are attached below.
The situation with the brigands and their claims are disturbing. Their claims and actions are but another proof of Minarchy's inability to control its space or negotiate with the local crime. I bet, Monsieur Montluc will be interested in it for his political campaign.
Availing the opportunity, I cannot but commend "Corvo"-class vessel, although it is Sirian in design, and would request the corporate leadership to consider purchasing more of those vessels from the open market or by the parties that construct those.
[30.12.2019 04:31:59] Julien.Vallee: Bonjour.
[30.12.2019 04:32:06] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: Bonjour
[30.12.2019 04:32:41] Julien.Vallee: You have a moment?
[30.12.2019 04:32:56] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: sure, state your matters, messieur
[30.12.2019 04:33:41] Julien.Vallee: Hm, what is someone with a Sirian ship like yours doing in our Gallia? Usually people like you only go here to pay up.
[30.12.2019 04:34:16] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: we are Gauls from Quillan and the use of filthy Sirian ships is, unfortunately, necessary for doing business with them
[30.12.2019 04:34:32] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: as you know, our precious Gallic ships are banned from Bretonia
[30.12.2019 04:34:36] Julien.Vallee: And why? You ran out of oil?
[30.12.2019 04:34:45] Julien.Vallee: Oh, you trade with those tea sippers?
[30.12.2019 04:34:53] MAE|"Sorbonne": Grioux: so whenever we go to do marketing research there - we'd better comply with their laws
[30.12.2019 04:35:05] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: no, we don't. We are above that
[30.12.2019 04:35:06] Julien.Vallee: Disgusting.
[30.12.2019 04:35:21] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: but there are parties in Bretonia that might be interested in trade
[30.12.2019 04:35:25] Julien.Vallee: But... you do "market research" there?
[30.12.2019 04:35:27] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: say, the Mollies
[30.12.2019 04:35:39] Julien.Vallee: Mhm, I see...
[30.12.2019 04:35:48] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: and in your opinion, market pertains only to Bretonians, monsieur?
[30.12.2019 04:35:59] Julien.Vallee: You try to be neutral, since you are too weak to do the dirty work yourself.
[30.12.2019 04:36:15] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: I am a corp-man, I don't do dirty work
[30.12.2019 04:36:17] Julien.Vallee: My opinion does not matter here.
[30.12.2019 04:36:24] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: we have mercs for that
[30.12.2019 04:36:35] Julien.Vallee: Of course.
[30.12.2019 04:36:45] Julien.Vallee: Not like you could do anything anyways.
[30.12.2019 04:36:53] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: and given how many soldiers lost jobs after the war, there is no shortage of of mercs
[30.12.2019 04:37:06] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: yo usay it, monsieur, as if we need to do something about it
[30.12.2019 04:37:20] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: well, the matter is - we don't. We are not military and the war is over
[30.12.2019 04:37:45] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: now the republicans rule the thing. Or at least they think so
[30.12.2019 04:37:47] Julien.Vallee: Well, but you'd need to protect yourself from, let's say the Royalists.
[30.12.2019 04:38:04] Julien.Vallee: They like to trash everyone they see here.
[30.12.2019 04:38:12] Julien.Vallee: Probably gotta compensate for something.
[30.12.2019 04:38:18] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: indeed. But royalists do not attack blindly just peaceful citizens of Gallia
[30.12.2019 04:38:39] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: if they ever want to regain the control over Gallia - they need loyal population
[30.12.2019 04:38:49] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: so we have no issues with the royalists
[30.12.2019 04:39:04] Julien.Vallee: Pah, they've murdered their people when they were in charge, no way they change now.
[30.12.2019 04:39:21] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: same did the Council. Here on Quillan, by the wa
[30.12.2019 04:39:26] MAE|"Sorbonne": //way*
[30.12.2019 04:39:36] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: that is the way of the war
[30.12.2019 04:39:53] Julien.Vallee: Not war, that's the way governments act.
[30.12.2019 04:39:54] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: look the at Maquis - those poor sods now oppose both the royalists and their ex-Council friends
[30.12.2019 04:40:10] Julien.Vallee: They're just idiots, nothing more.
[30.12.2019 04:40:12] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: government makes tough choices. Collateral damage is inevitable
[30.12.2019 04:41:01] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: anyway, good chat but I have the work to do. Good day, monsieur
[30.12.2019 04:41:05] Julien.Vallee: So, but you say you work here? And who gets your money?
[30.12.2019 04:41:25] Julien.Vallee: That sounds very interesting to a businessman like myself.
[30.12.2019 04:41:29] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: I work for Montluc Advanced Engineering. A new corporation from Quillan
[30.12.2019 04:41:42] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: we build ships and stellar installations
[30.12.2019 04:42:00] Julien.Vallee: Very interesting, indeed. Quite embarassing too.
[30.12.2019 04:42:22] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: pardon?
[30.12.2019 04:42:25] Julien.Vallee: Maybe the other fellas were a bit too lazy to let you know, that there is a new tax system in Languedoc.
[30.12.2019 04:42:48] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: the Minarchy has no taxes. We check the legislation rigorously
[30.12.2019 04:43:09] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: at least, not those levied directly in space
[30.12.2019 04:43:10] Julien.Vallee: Since this "Minarchy" people are incompetent nobodies, the Brigands have taken over here.
[30.12.2019 04:43:19] Julien.Vallee: And we do take taxes.
[30.12.2019 04:43:29] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: brigands are no authority to levy taxes, monsiuer
[30.12.2019 04:43:37] Julien.Vallee: Oh aren't we?
[30.12.2019 04:43:48] Julien.Vallee: That is not very nice of you.
[30.12.2019 04:43:58] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: is it extortion, monsieur? If so, that is even less nice of you
[30.12.2019 04:44:14] Julien.Vallee: Negative. You pay your taxes, since that is the law.
[30.12.2019 04:44:22] Julien.Vallee: If you don't, you get arrested.
[30.12.2019 04:44:23] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: we'll see about that
[30.12.2019 04:44:29] Julien.Vallee: Oh yeah?
[30.12.2019 04:44:31] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: time to teach the pirates a lesson
[30.12.2019 04:44:37] Julien.Vallee: Exactly.
[30.12.2019 04:52:59] Julien.Vallee: Enough fun for today.
[30.12.2019 04:53:01] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: so much for the "authorities"
[30.12.2019 04:53:07] Julien.Vallee: Thank you, I got what I wanted.
[30.12.2019 04:53:30] Docking failed because base shield is active
[30.12.2019 04:53:38] Julien.Vallee: The new government will love to know about your dealings with the Royalists.
[30.12.2019 04:53:59] Julien.Vallee: Maybe I could even sell the information to the Outcasts? What do you think?
[30.12.2019 04:54:05] Julien.Vallee: Worth a try.
[30.12.2019 04:54:11] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: laughable statement, as passing their territory without them shooting us is really a proof of "cooperation"
[30.12.2019 04:54:39] Julien.Vallee: You really are a Sirian, aren't you? Read the Gallic news.
[30.12.2019 04:54:43] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: surely this information will be sooooo useful to the Outcasts who are hostile to all of Gallia
[30.12.2019 04:54:59] Julien.Vallee: Whoever pays for it, you know.
[30.12.2019 04:55:24] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: our corporate leadership contacted the MNG to that end. So assume they have it covered
[30.12.2019 04:55:54] Death: Julien.Vallee was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[30.12.2019 04:56:12] MAE|"Sorbonne": Giroux: and if vous can't discent pure Gallic speech to confuse me with Sirian, mon amie, then you are no Gaul at all
As requested by the corporate tops, today I ventured into Liberty to check out the places where Gallic Royal battlefleets were last seen at the moment of the end of war. As expected, the wreckage was at the approximate place of where the war theater was. "Betheny" is adrift in Cortez system, not salvaged. The ships is badly damaged and can barely be used for anything except for re-melting the materials. The reparation of the hull would be too expensive for Libertonians. Near "Betheny" was also drifting Libertonian dreadnought "Yukon", or what is left of it.
What is more concerning is that "Carcassone" was successfully salvaged by Libertonians that managed to bring its life-support functions back to life. I took the glimpse of it from afar not to raise any suspicions, but its proximity to a base and frequent patrols drive to a conclusion that it is being studied. Surely, it is a loss for Gallia and our know-how.
As for the marketing - Liberty is affluent with foreign goods and ships and entering the market would be pretty tough. I assume to do so we really need to have a cutting edge technology different from Libertonian analogues to offer, otherwise the cost of importing ships from Gallia is unlikely to attract customers to our business except for the lovers of something unique.
At the moment I am on my way to Rheinland to study the local market. I stopped to rest at Freeport 2 in Bering and must admit that the locals sell quite interesting ships now decomissioned and rarely used in Rheinland. The ships were used by LWB illegal movement and have decent combat capacity from the stats provided by the local ship dealers. I suggest we buy a few for engineering research and a glimpse into Rheinlandic ship building thought. In addition, they can be used alongside our civilian combat vessels to fend off pirates in Languedoc.
I will report later regarding the outcome of my Rheinland trip. Subsequently, I will venture into the Omicrons to look into the possibility of "Corvo" supply as messier Giroux requested.
