Quote:In order to legally register a base in the Republic of Liberty, it is required that the owner lease the part of space that the base will occupy for the duration of its existence. The following lease plans and their fees are possible:
• 50.000.000 per month
• 500.000.000 per year
• 1.000.000.000 one-time
Before bad mouthing other factions, groups and so on, do have a bit of decency to investigate and actually check the information that is so easy to access. A billion paid at once might seem like much, but remember that you have the biggest playerbase and 4 official factions to assist you in protecting your POB from hostiles. If it is too much, you can choose other payment plans.
As to others claiming that bounty board doesn't need billions, during November 15th to December 1st, around 300M was paid out in bounties. That is a lot of money per two weeks to pay out when you consider that LibGov banks are not infinite. They end up when there are no more new POB fees or fines to collect. I wonder would you be willing to fund our bounty board yourselves when that happens.
All in all, we do our best in LibGov with our limited time and abilities to shape Liberty. It's very hard to represent it properly because everyone has different idea about it, from players who pass Liberty to players that are in LibGov. As such, we make votes where majority of votes decide if that we need to do something about, let's say outlawing IMG| in Liberty, or allowing POB being built somewhere. And for all that trouble, part of LibGov members get neither ingame credits, nor any thanks for it. And as usual, players who have not been in any type of Government group have no idea how it is done and would rather complain on the forum than make inquiry directly to people in such groups.
There's more to the game than just POBs, I really doubt the POB licensing fee is the biggest issue this server faces. And if someone truly is that hard-pressed for time, maybe the last thing they should do is undertake the responsibility of constructing and maintaining a POB? It's always tragic to see new people come in, sink their cash into something useless like a POB and then quit when met with the dynamics associated to owning one. You'd think that after a few high profile cases of this that people would learn, but I suppose there'd be a shortage of things to complain about otherwise.
As an added side-note, the fee structure is quite fair. Pay 50 mil per month, which isn't a lot. That's basically one run of ore to Gallia. Which takes under an hour. 45 minutes of your life to pay a monthly fee. 500 million a year, which again if you consider how profitable shipping ore is, you can have that in 10 days if you invested one hour every day. Similar logic applies to the one time payment. It's also worth noting that all of this becomes incrementally quicker with the more people you cooperate with. So a team of two transports will be racking in 100 million credits for every hour spent trading ore each day.
With earning money being as easy as it is, are the rates really all that exorbitant? I mean come on, it's not like they want 8 billion credits paid to like six different bank accounts or something..
