Fleur la Rouche was born into the Council. Her family had a strong commitment to social justice, and quite an anti-establishment streak.
It was a dangerous life - several family members and close friends were killed over the years. Fleur herself was put out of action once or twice, and she spent two years in a Gallic prison (and was fortunate enough to be busted out before facing lethal injection!).
Fleur became a well known people smuggler, she earned the nickname "Black Rabbit" from the Gallic Police with her ability to outmaneuver them. Fleur would smuggle sympathisers, spies and refugees until she signed up for a secret mission...
She would spend six months in training. It was all history, geography, politics - none of it familiar.
She learned to speak two more languages, and to operate a variety of foreign machines and devices.
She learned to recognise the comms chatter that was until recently the most hidden State Secret in existence.
She said goodbye to her family.
All was well for six months into her mission as a 22 year old student of French-Canadian descent. She was studying Alien Bioforms 101 at the University of Cambridge, whilst also acting as a counter-agent for the Council - monitoring Gallic activity in Bretonia.
However, she lost contact with her handler, three years and nearing the completion of her degree course with word from home.
Then her comms equipment was intercepted by the BPA. Fleur spent three nervous weeks at Her Majesties' Leisure, mistaken for a Gaian agent.
These weeks changed Fleur's life, as she met and became enamoured with real Gaians. After being released from custody Fleur decided to commit to Gaia and Her ways - protecting unique lifeforms from the scourge of industry, and educating the people so they might not foul their own nests.
With the opening of Reunion and the entry into Gallia, Fleur now has a chance to return home. No longer as an agent for the Council, but as a Gaian. Fleur will risk the wrath of the Gallic Navy to spread the word of Gaia and the importance of preserving nature. She will also exhort the Gaians to act against foreign ships delivering new terraforming technology into Gallia.
The Black Rabbit has returned - but to what? Will she be embreaced or spurned by the Council? She will certainly be a mark for the Gallic Navy, as a Council traitor as well as for her time spent in Bretonia.
