I already made the conclusion freelancers dont get much love around here.

So my question:

Freelancer tagged char in civilian ship and equip can basicly work some time for lawfulls, sometime for criminals, flying almost evrywhere (no Guard systems).

is this acceptable?

I asked myself the same question yesterday:

A Freelancer-tagged Lane-hacker Gunship with Pirate ID...

...so, what do i have to expect by this guy?
As i understand, with a Freelancer-TAG you can do everything you want without getting harmed?
And, in the RP-case: How could anyone trust someone who always change sides, just as he wishes?

Open for any suggestions....

Freelancer Tag + ID works for themselves and whomever else they'd like to work for, but should beware a bad reputation. Freelancer Tag + Pirate ID means he's a freelancer pirate, one without direct ties to any other faction. He should be treated as a pirate, or at least as a rather untrustworthy fellow. A Freelancer (with whatever ID) using any faction equipment can be considered to have ties to that faction, and enemies of that faction should react with unfriendliness (not necessarily hostility, but that's certainly a possibility).

Freelancers can do a lot, its just most people don't trust them. Which is to be expected...

Your freelancer idea would work fine, yes Arter.

Well it really depends on the ID, if a freelancer has a merc Id he can only be trusted when you pay him, freelancer ID would imply some trust, Pirate ID no trust at all... but all are freelancers..

Lets be quite transparent about that.
I will make this crystal clear now, if you have a pirate ID, you are a ruddy pirate, not a freelancing
pirate with a neutral reputation.

As long as you act like a pirate and are hostile to the correct groups, you wont have a problem.
