After the IRMM has received an access to MHQ-Fenice.D'Oro[75th], we've been studying the ship to reproduce it and potentially upgrade the existing technology for behind-the-enemy-lines use where a certain cargo or technology can't be acquired by regular means. Small detachments of Intelligence Agents were sent to the colonies and borderworlds to either secure deals using middlemen like Freelancers or extort the cargo from traders for its construction.
Chassis: Within two weeks, all the necessary cargo has been collected and delivered by Freighters to Bastia where the processing began, there within the following days the resources have been processed and building blocks for the ship chassis created. Chassis itself has incorporated latest Maltese capital ship designs and Basic Alloy is the most prominent material due to its Non-ferrous nature and resistance to oxidization, which makes the ship nearly invisible for electromagnetic radars.
Hull: Once the chassis has been completed, layers upon layers of materials with different properties have been applied in a modular fashion to make eventual wear and tear repairs much easier to handle by Nanobots. Each item in the following list represents order of layers applied with the exception of Industrial Materials which are scattered throughout the layers.
Wiring: At this point, the ship already had the curves of a 75th Misericorde. Wiring up and testing the entire ship up took 100 dedicated machines a week to complete, several hundreds of kilometers of wiring has been spent. Material dominating in this part were Superconductors of all sizes and even shapes, the main reason was to minimize the power loses of regular metals to a bare minimum. Energy Field Equipment has been installed behind the Plasfoam Conduits layer as a recent innovation made by the IRMM to slow down or even repel energy weapons fire. Fusion Diodes and Nanocapacitors were used as a general load balancing in case of power surges.
Engine: While Maltese Navy employs different engines across its capital fleet, it's been decided to use Neutrino Engines powered by the byproduct of a Singularity Reactor. This reactor is capable of supplying the ship with energy for years and is notoriously hard to detect, making it a perfect pick for a ship staying hidden in nebulas and unleashing its snubs upon the prey.
Electronics: Sporting its own "Phi" Sensor Network Node and Millimeter-wave tissue scanner, it's filled with Supercomputers and long range transceivers to maintain a direct communication link to Corsica, Captana and Malta. With its vast amount of robotic crew doing any kind of maintenance, the amount of people required to command this ship is minimal. Scanning Arrays, Targeting Sensors, Data Storages, Hyperspace Matrix and a medium craft Docking point are available together with the Scimitars docking room.
Corsica always constructs only the best quality ships, yet the demands on this one were even higher for work under Hazardous environments both inside and outside of the ship. Each room has its own air filters and biohazard/radiation/chemical detectors to prevent any kind of spread.
Tasks which do not require computer intervention for unpredictable values are handled by Optical technology and Lasers, this allows for lightning fast responses for modules like Reactor and Engine, adding further stability to the system and less maintenance required by the robots.
Bio-Neural technology was implemented around controlling the environment of the ship, maintaining constant pressures across decks, oxygen levels, cleaning the air, checking upon the health of the residents and preventing life threatening substances polluting the air, water or food. With all the electronics around, they obviously create heat, from which the living crew benefits as it is evenly distributed across the ship.
Laboratories, Kitchens, Living Quarters, Living Rooms, Showers, Toilets, Shooting ranges and etc are all available for the crew. Should there be an emergency and ship had to land on a foreign planet, it contains a small amount of greenhouses that grow food.
Finalization: After 8 weeks, the ship has been finished and pressurized with Oxygen and Cardamine. As were additional Cardamine and Liquid Cardamine supplies stored should there be a need. 10 IRMM Scientists are always aboard together with 4 Medical units safeguarding the health of the crew.
Maltese space is often raided by Humans like Gallics, IMG, BHG, Order or even Kusari. Most of these enemies don't share habits or preferred weapon loadouts. This has prompted the IRMM to use modular weapon mounts for a quick exchange of weapons in order to adjust to the battlefield conditions.
