Corsica Station, Omicron-Phi, Outcast space. 14th February 827 AS, 21:06 SMT.
Loyola has finished her usual work at the office a few hours ago and had time to meet with one of the GC delegates that are supposed to come and visit her soon. Her private side of the office had already some dinner dishes prepared as well as some drinks. Guards would meet Minami at Corsica's giant hangar and lead her right to Loyola's office.
The wide door opened at Minami could see an Outcast blonde sitting at the table, looking quite similar to what she is at comms too. Maybe only a little bit taller than one would imagine when Enma stands up to greet her. But as soon as Loyola walked away from the table it because obvious that she's just wearing the high heels.
— Welcome to Corsica senorita Mi, I know it's been a long flight. Please make yourself comfortable, there's a small dinner prepared, I think it would be good to discuss business while having a good one.
Loyola gestures Mi at her sit, after that she would walk around the table and takes her's at the opposite side.
— I hope you did not encounter any problems along the way?
Minami was wearing a casual attire, nothing too fancy or traditionalist, yet she displayed the grace of a Kusarian women with her every step. She looked a bit annoyed, not particularly because of the meeting but rather the circumstances under which she arrived.
"It is a pleasure, Loyola-san. I thank you for the invitation." She took a seat and let her eyes wander around the office, it resembled the look she had in mind for a person like Loyola, practical with a hint of luxury. "It has been.. calm? Mostly because the travel of choice was not an option after-all. I got here in a window-less shuttle. And the crew was relatively grumpy, guess taking guests to Corsica is still uncommon. Not that there was anything to see during the way from the hangar to your office here. - Oh and I appreciate the effort, I am slightly hungry, the trip here took longer than expected overall."
Loyola is crossing her legs, examining a Minami with a not very polite stare for a short time. Then she would proceed with a friendly tone, after picking one olive from the table and directing it into her mouth.
— Good to hear, I will make sure you have an escort on your way back. Now, as I mentioned in comm, my people have managed to cultivate two new sorts. "Blue Cardamine", which is having some blue-ish shades and just looks exclusive. The other one is "LCardamine", it's a bit easier on side effects, but hookup is almost instant. It's a very good one to introduce to new customers, you know what I mean.
Enma winks, filling Mi's glass with something that looked like white wine.
— I have samples down here at Corsica, I want you to deliver them to Kusari and let me know if you would wish to order it. Sounds good?
Minami listened to the women, calmly looking up and down her. So that was the infamous Loyola in person, the very same one she knew to be careful around.
"Both variations sound interesting. Especially the "Blue Cardamine" appears to be.. quite exquisite. How comes you've invested into new variations? It's relatively uncommon to see new ones, the current ones are more or less the same afterall." She took her glass and sipped from it. Sighing relieved as she had been thirsty ever since she arrived at the shuttle.
Enma looked like nothing special, just a woman doing business. it's clear that most of the conspiracy theories around her are just hoax.
— Oh, I felt like it would be a good idea to refresh the markets with something. It takes some investment, but it may lead to exclusive contracts with my family, which is worth it at the end of the day. Also, make sure to send best wishes to Lady Red, I hope she's doing alright. And Kusari was mainly out of the focus of my interest. I would like to hear your opinions on the recent events that happened with Gallia and Taus.
She would look around, thinking of something, her eyes spark.
— You know when there's chaos, certain opportunities open. Sadly we couldn't use one during a civil war in Kusari.
Minami shrugged off the thoughts about Loyola, business appeared to be more important right now and she knew fully unarmed she could not have done anything, even if she wanted.
"Empress Red is doing fine, she lurks around here and there, but I was too occupied to talk with her lately."
She drank a little more, taking herself a few moments before replying to Loyola.
"Oh, this whole re-structuring of Gallia? I am.. unimpressed. Not much changed for us, Kusari still maintains a free trade flow with Gallia. Trade increased slightly perhaps, but not by far. The situation in the Taus is more interesting, did not expect Crayterians to suddenly hold Tau-31. Logistical operations into Bretonia are somehow unclear now, given Crayter's ever changing opinion on us. Besides this? Not much has changed, has it? Tau-23 remains an area of rivalry as usual."
Nods, sending some message as she was listening to Mi. Maybe it wasn't too polite, she seems to be paying attention and just trying to be productive. Making a short nod to herself as the message was apparently sent.
— Very well, I've ordered my guys to load samples at your ship when you will be heading back. The good news is no one holding Taus now, basically. This IMG's subguild called Cryter is kind of pathetic and not having any serious force to control anything. Any more or less serious House presence that we have on the route is at the axis of T-23-29. Best we can hope for in this region is Gallic-Kusari border conflict.
Loyola gently smiles, deciding to give her guest an initiative.
— If you have any questions about my family or business, in general, please ask. You now may receive first hand infomation instead of unreliable rumors.
"Knowing the Imperial conservatives within the Naval Forces, I would not be all too surprised about border skirmishes appearing. But.. hai, I fully agree with you. The less house interference we find in the Taus, the easier our supply runs get. Annoying the IMG is fairly easy these days."
She grinned.
"Questions to you, huh? One thing that kept me curious for long is how you ended up on the Guildmaster chair for some time. I mean, the Core openly fought Malta back then still."
Enma checks some of her files to provide a more precise reply.
— Let's see... I became Guildmistress on September 30th 824 and resigned on February 17th 825. About half of this time I wasn't at active duty, because I was captured by Gallics. Legion had some deals with the Core before that, so when you claim that relations between Core and Outcasts were hostile, it depends. National Council at the same time started to make deals with the hostile Order to harm my feelings, I assume. Core and Malta have developed some ties next to it and right now relations are not so hostile.
Turns a display towards Mi, demonstrating one of her old comms.
— And even during that period, I had Core protecting Outcast space in Omicron Tau against the CR. But I guess those who call me a traitor for being employed by the Core won't show you that. The situation is always a bit more complicated than it appears. I've done nothing to harm the Outcasts or their interests, and prosperity of our allies is within our best interests.
Minami smiled lightly while listening to the Maltese woman. Once Enma finished with the question, she simply nodded.
"Hm. That's quite interesting, you know, we lacked data from both sides regarding your Core time. Thank you for sharing it. This clears up how the relation between Malta and the Core turned to what it is now too, in a way."
She drank a bit more, letting her eyes briefly wander over Enma's glass, then spoke up.
"Hai there is more I want to ask, it's a rare opportunity and I wouldn't want to waste it. - Now, you surely know the typical rumors about your person. Nomad sympathizer and alike. I suppose we don't even have to start there, hai? Then.. hm, a question aimed at your new group there. What's your plan besides abusing the weakened state of the Tau region? Any plans besides territorial brawls?"
