Jean-Pierre and Phillipe Remy L`Dubois were born to a poor family in New Paris.
They were raised in poverty and victims of the crime in the slums first hand... The war of The Council and the Royalists didnt help to their situation either.
So without an education and no bright future ahead of them they resolved to simple crimes, roaming the streets of New Paris as con artists, robbing people, it was the only thing they knew and they had a knack for it. They did so well that they started to get reputation with the surrounded criminal gangs and were growing in numbers. At the age of 17 and 18, after many close calls with local authority their parents scared that their children would wind up in jail or even worse, dead, told them to stop their mischief and give up their lives of crime. The Brothers reputation was too poor with the police and too great with the gangs, to simply turn into law abiding citizens, so something had to be done. They would give their sons a second chance somewhere else, and moved out of New Paris to the edge worlds of Gallias core systems.
As Dauphine was developing many new sectary stations, their father, Jacque found himself and his boys a job on Briancon Station. Jean Pierre and Phillipe were doing their best, working real hard for a couple of years to impress their father, but barely making enough money to support themselves and their mother that stayed in New Paris.
When they were in New Paris, they did marginally well, but everyone there was cultured and raised into being protective from con artists and thieves. Here in Briancon Station, threats like these didn't exist, so the people weren't accustomed to having their guard up and being constantly paranoid. From their days of crime in New Paris, the L`Dubois brothers had attained a unique set of skills, robbing and conning people, they decided to put those unique skills to good use on the unsuspecting Briancon Station populace.
The L`Dubois brother devised an elaborate plan, taking months on end researching the stations income and core operations. They found the weak link in the operations, a man by the name of Honore Duparc. Honore Duparc was the head accountant of Briancon Station, and his weakness was his greed. They found evidence of his bad conduct, stealing companys money for his own wants and desires. He was the book keeper and had the last say on all things related to the economic wellbeing, income, and expenditures of Briancon Station. Presenting him with that evidence, he had no choice but to do as they say, for if he were found out, his life of leisure would be at the very least ruined, and he had fear that he may even be killed by agents of the Dauphine.
Even though their parents swore them to forsake their lives of crime in New Paris, 10 years went past but they never lost their contacts with their contacts in New Paris. Using these old friends, partners on past jobs, and informants from various companies, along their new acquaintance Honore Duparc, the L`Dubois brothers at the age of 27 and 28 laundered quite a large sum of money.
As the years went by they became executive of EFL Oil & Machinery with the help of their friends by conning the executives out of the company from the inside out. Now it is rumored that they run the L`Dubois supposedly crime family.
